me as a Christian it got to some extent I was getting angry that the non Christians don't like us nor allow us to preach the gospel of Christ.
I have to leave my village to the town some years back to the city of Minna in Niger state
we were living in peace until one day a guy came looking for a room to rent then the landlord asked him (ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN?) he said yes he ask again
(ARE YOU A PASTOR?) he said no .
the landlord said he is not going give him the house for rent we have to plead with to let the guy get into the house
a few months later the guy started hosting Sunday services inside the same room we help plead for him to be allowed to rent and he was my next door neighbor they will sing dance and clap and disturb everyone in the compound from morning till evening when we complain he said we were possessed lol
until the landlord had to make sure he left the house for everyone to have their peace he have to fight almost everyone in the house before he left .
in Africa especially in Nigeria we are far far backward no development and we practice religion more than developed countries in China and other developed countries they don't practice religion any closer to us but they are far better than us in anyway.
we kill each other in Nigeria because of our religion some months back a lady was killed in sokoto state northern Nigeria for allegedly blasphemy which was not true a grown man came out boldly in a video saying he is proud and lucky to be among the people who killed the lady because of their beloved prophet (Mohammed).
few years ago a woman who used to preach round Kubwa in the federal capital territory of Nigeria Abuja was also killed just because she was preaching as a Christian and nothing happened
with all these happening there was never an arrest made regarding this situation
in the case of the lady that was killed in sokoto state the Nigeria police came out after some days the incident happened to say they couldn't find the guy that he is not a Nigerian that the person is from Niger Republic and the guy just came into Nigeria and no trace about the guy.
this is how ugly religion has brought us in Nigeria
and this is happening because their Imams already preached to them that when you kill someone who blasphem you go to heaven straight how bad could this be .
you see a lot of pastors involved in many unspeakable things like
human trafficking
drugs trafficking
impregnating ot their Church members
children and wives
Imams telling their congregation to kill for their beloved prophet
killing for jihad
getting involved in terrorism
what a country
what a continent
I just pray that someday somehow we gonna rescue ourselves from this ugly situation to love and trust one another and to live in peace as a nation and as a continent
because when I was a kid I never knew the difference between Christians and Muslim we lived together then in Friday I will take my bath and go to mosque with my friends that are Muslims and on Sundays we all go to church together there was no difference we celebrate both sallah and Christmas together with love then
but presently now in Nigeria if a Christian give food to most Muslims during Christmas celebration they don't take it and some will even tell you openly they will never eat your Christmas food some will take it and trash it away same applicable to my fellow Christian Brothers and Sisters we should be known to love not just ourselves or our brothers and sisters but to love even our enemies that's the teaching of the Bible and that's what our Lord said we should love even our worst enemies more but now you see or hear a religious clerics preach even on National Radio and television against other religion how and where do you expect love to lead us?
because in this part of the world we even believe what our religious leaders said to us than t read from our holy books (Bible or Qu'an) we so much believe what we hear from them as if they are small gods I don't know how we all get here and how we gonna get out of this as Africans we need to be so very careful that's why we need extra time to go on research at our own convenient time do some good research about what we hear from them develope our minds be at least self established on our religious belief let's not just hear from them and to believe wholeheartedly
this is the Nigeria I want again
this is the continent I want again
this is the life I pray for everywhere around the world LET LOVE LEAD
