Chapter 2: Chapter 1- Kicked out
[Skye PoV]
It has been 2 years since I have arrived in this world. I seem to be normal. No powers, no magic or something like that. I really can't remember what character I was given.
Well most things about me are normal except that I have been raised by an mountain lion.
She has taken good care of me these 2 years but even I can tell she is getting more and more irritated by my presence.
The other cubs have already left. Of the three 'siblings' I had, one died but the other two went out to claim their own territory.
I have learnt how to hunt like a puma but my prey are not very impressive.
Anyway I guess animals don't like their young staying with them for more than two years at least pumas don't like it.
I really don't know why the puma didn't just kill me and raised me instead but I am not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth.
I don't remember my past life but in this my name is Skye. Just that. One word. Whoever abandoned me in the middle of the forest didn't even leave a last name to follow him by.
Still I thankful to live in the first place, much more interesting than stating into nothing for eternity.
Another thing is that in my past life I think I was a boy. And now I am a girl. Well doesn't really matter in the long run. Unless I am in a time where women are still discriminated against. That would be a pain.
I have been preparing to leave this forest due to my 'mother' kicking me out and no longer having her protection.
It is a wonder how I survived so far. In the cold hilly forests climbing up and down the rocky path to the cave and hunting and eating raw animal meat alongside the rare consumption of fruit.
All this as a 2 year old. This must be some kind pf achievement. I really regret not watching Bear Grillz more. I can barely remember the stuff he did.
Anyway I have already prepared to leave following the stream of water, not large enough to be river. All I have with me is the blanket that I was likely left with in the forest on which my name is sewn.
About this world, it is quite strange. I mean I have sometimes seen some kind of tree people who have sometimes left fruit for me and at the water stream I have once seen a lady made of water wave at me.
This was quite concerning for me and I started to question my sanity for quite a while before I just pushed it to the back of my mind and went with the flow.
It has been 2 weeks I have been walking this path but I still haven't found anything related to humans. It is also quite mystifying how I can instinctively tell time and also judge direction.
I don't move at a set time but only after judging the danger.
You can never be careful enough as a weak child in a forest.
This was a peaceful night and I made sure of the danger before drifting off to sleep on the branches of a tree.

[3rd PoV]
The dark of the night covered the sights of both the predators and the prey. Now the animals of the forest must use their senses of smell,hearing and their touch to survive.
In this dark a few figures are rushing through the forest making the faintest of sounds. Leading the figures is a pack of hunting dogs that are chasing after a sent for the hunt.
The dogs suddey stop and slowly make their way towards a tree. The leader of the pack walks back to a girl of twelve or thirteen with shoulder-length raven-black hair and striking silver-grey eyes that shone with light in the dark night and rubs his snout against her.
The girl walked up to the tree which lowered its branches for her.
She picked up the child in her arms noticing the cloth around her had her name in ancient greek and that is when the child snapped awake twisted out of the girl's arms and jumped back while growling warily observing the pack of dogs and the girls of varying ages among them. But most of her attention was on the girl who picked her up as she could sense immense power in the girl.
The girl with silver eyes started exuding a warm motherly aura that relaxed the gaurd of Skye before it snapped back surprising the girl.
"I, we mean you no harm." said the girl to Skye who realized that even of the girl meant her harm she couldn't do anything decided it unwise to show aggression.
Skye relaxed again and let the girl pick her up though her body was tensed the entire time.
"Hello child, I am Artemis and I will not hurt you." while at the same time giving of her aura of care.
Skye sensing her intentions slowly relaxed before looking carefully at her surroundings. As she was very tired from before and from getting minimal sleep during the journey under the aura of Artemis she fell asleep.
"My lady, we have to hurry the Aeternae should have been hunting this child since it is close by and it might run again I'd it senses us."
"Yes let the little one with us for a while and when we get to either New York or San Francisco we will drop her off. When she grows up we should get her to join us, she would make a fine Hunter."
"Yes, my lady."

Solace_7649 So this chapter was a little confusing for me to write because I wanted to show that my MC has a childlike mentality but at the same time in the narrative she is speaking in a much older manner.
So I thought of something which I will clarify once she is 7-8 years of age.
