Chapter 1: Mikael Holden
Reincarnation, woopty doo. Yes, I reincarnated into a world similar to my own with only one distinct additional feature... there was a hidden magical world.
In my original life, I was no one truly special. I worked fifty hours a week as a freelance web designer, I had a few past relationships, I traveled the world, and a kept myself decently fit until my untimely death at the age of 31.
Meeting God was a little bit of an eye opener since I was an Athiest but he wasn't old with a white beard. Nope, he looked like he was in his thirties and wore an expensive suit.
After that, I was reincarnated with the Gamer system... I say reincarnated but I woke up as a five-year-old boy that had been in a coma since he was born.
My family was half-blooded, this means that one of my parents was magical and the other was non-magical. Using the skill [Observe], I found out that my mother was the magically-inclined one while my father was effectively a squib.
Once the health checkups were done over a few weeks, I went to live in the countryside, we lived in a three-story house with several acres of land that was warded against muggles.
We have a House Elf named Pippy, she was nice and did her job beyond expectation. My mother was doting and spoiled me with love while my father was strict but caring.
Over the first year, I took it slow. My system consisted of a mini-map, inventory, skills, stats, perks, achievements, and titles. More might be unlocked later but God says that it would depend on my decisions.
My mother is a potion master who graduated from Hogwarts roughly the same time as Severus Snape and Harry's parents. She owns a shop in Diagon Alley and sometimes takes me with her which is great.
My father is an investor/entrepreneur. He had made a decent amount despite his lack of magical qualities. I learned that he went to the muggle world where he learned business, finance, and administration.
I didn't have any siblings and as far as I could tell, both of my parents were orphans. And no, I'm not from some rich and powerful family. My name in this life is Mikael Holden.
Over this year, I learned several skills but I wasn't rushing to Godhood or some shit. I took my time as a child to relax, have fun, and be a child.
I had my first bout of accidental magic when I farted and rainbow dust came out, my second one turned an apple into an orange, and my third made a small fire in the kitchen. And yes, they were truly accidents, I wasn't expecting them either.
In the next year, we went on holiday to France where we went to a nighttime festival. I got to see my first Dragon... oh my god, it was a beautiful beast that captivated me. The scales shimmered, its eyes were dangerous, and even from fifty feet away, I could feel the heat from its fire breath.
When it comes to staying at home, I started my own magical garden, read countless books... and now, not just the ones that gave me skills. I studied Magizoology. And I learned to fly on a broom.
The next year, I spent in the muggle world. My parents didn't want me to grow up as a racist, i guess? Anyway, the year was the late 1980s, technology was barbaric compared to the year 2024 which is where I came from.
But, if I ever wanted to, I could exploit the technology and past by inventing and creating things first.
We lived in a relatively nice apartment, got a dog, and I went to a muggle school to learn... though, I played down my intelligence a bit. My parents recognized me as a smart kid but not some kind of unparalleled genius.
In the next year when we returned to the magical world, I was given three tutors. My father taught me about the laws of the Ministry, business, mathematics, magical history, Dumbledore, and Hogwarts.
My other taught me potions, flying, charms (only textbook because I didn't have a wand), and Care of Magical Animals.
The third tutor was a physical one, some kind of foreign wizard that would train me physically while giving me potions that was mother researched and tested first. These potions would remove the impurities from my body while strengthening my muscles as I train.
Two years later, I stood at 5'2ft with a slim but athletic body, I wasn't The Rock but I had some preteen muscles. My hair is pitch black, my eyes are gold, and my skin is sun-kissed.
I've already received my letter of acceptance to Hogwarts and gathered all of my things. My wand is Sycamore wood with a unicorn core of 14 ½" and unyielding flexibility.
I had three days before my days at Hogwarts began and I spent them reading fiction and re-reading the fundamentals of magic.
