Chapter 3: Now feelings? chapter 3
Today was simply amazing and Addy couldn't help her hoping heart that maybe he will realize how much he means to her and come back home to his family.She was definitely sure her feelings had not changed ,she still loved him a lot.
Two damn whole weeks dealing with his arrogant fiance and her temper had sky rocketed.
My work had suddenly meant I spent a lot of time at the office and that witch had made the whole two weeks dreadful .I guess it was because Alexis had been spending a lot of his time with his son and not her .
And now I was drenched in grape juice while she was smirking. I let it go since her beloved 'Alexis was there with her.
Two more days and I will be done with my work and that annoying bitch.I took off my now purple stained white coat and got back to work ,more like tried to .
"You're still hanging around him."Bridget barged in .
"Two more days."Addy silently prayed.
"I'm talking to you bitch!"She threw all my papers off my desk.And like a polite civil classy woman I am ,I ignored her.
"Can you leave me and my husband alone!that bastard child of yours is annoying just like its mother."
As a mother I did not ...I repeat do not let anyone call my child a bastard as he has a father.So I did what any mother would do and I slapped her hard.
"You!...how could you!?..."
And no I did not stop there I beat the flipping daisies out of her and while we were at it my annoying ex-husband came and practically tore us apart .
She looked like a raccoon had messed her up and I was proud of my handy work.A blue eye and a torn lip ,Good work Addy.
"What the hell are you two doing ?"He more like growled at us.
"I was beating her up and I'm sure that was pretty obvious."I grinned at him as I pointed to Bridget who was now whimpering next to him.
"That vile woman beat me up for messing her coat which I had apologized for."She sobbed loudly as Alexis cooed her with comforting words .
"How could you do that Addy?"This man must be stupid to think that I would do that just because of a coat.
"Well it was easy considering the bitch has been annoying the hell out of me."I fixed my clothes just to annoy both of them.
"I want you to leave the company Addy ."He strode towards me and out of anger I slapped him too.
"Who the hell do you think you are?Don't ever touch me again you filthy man."OK maybe I went a little overboard but I was furious.
"Filthy?What is wrong with you?"He looked hurt by my words but at that moment I didn't even care.
"A filthy man who fathered a bastard with a whore,that's what you said Bridget so I was merely saying a fact."I furiously glared at her and watched as she nervously looked anywhere but at Alexis.
"You called my own flesh and blood a bastard ?How could you ?You know what just leave ."
"But Alex ..."She pleaded .
"It's Mr Mathews to you now Miss Johnson."I almost laughed when he said that.I guess the man is not as bad as I thought.
"Will you two excuse me ,I have my work to get back to ."I picked some of the files Bridget had tossed around the office.I heard the door close and sat down trying to calm myself.
"You're angry?"that startled me.What is he still doing here?
"I'm furious .I thought I told you to keep that woman away from my son and she better stay away from me or I will kill her."I got up and sat on my chair.
"I'm sorry about everything."He left as soon as he said that.
Today was a fun day.I got to finally teach that woman a lesson.
Two damn weeks and all he does is stare at me like a lost puppy and then he had the nerve to sigh as if its his last day on earth .I know women are terrifying creatures but its not like I will kill him after I hear whatever it is he has to say.
"Do you have something to say to me?"I put my book down and glanced up at him. Addy was on his lap ,playing around with his phone.
"What?No...its nothing."He was nervous which was a first for him.Why the hell is he acting like a damn guilty criminal.
"What the hell is it?"ok...maybe I was the crazy one.I didn't mean to shout ,I was just impatient .
"Its Bridget."He looked anywhere but me
"Your fiancé. So what does she want from me?"I frowned at her name.
"She's pregnant."I didn't mean to..but then again I laughed so hard I even surprised my own baby.
"I'm not joking Addy."he glared at me .What was wrong with this woman?
"I know. So why are you telling me?I thought you were gonna tell me she's dead."It was soon going to happen anyway .That witch was so good playing Alexis since he was being stupid.Pregnant? As if she would let that happen.The woman hates babies more that anything and he believed her?Idiotic man.
"Congratulations. I guess Thomas is gonna have someone to play with soon."I smiled at him ,he was confused now and I knew it.
"I guess so.Are you ok about all this?"he eyed me curiously.
"You are marrying the woman Alexis ,it was bound to happen anyway."I will find out if she was pregnant or not so for now i had to play it cool.
"If you say so."he turned his attention to his son .
"Would you stop sulking Alexis!"What the hell was wrong with him.He was acting like a child busy sulking as if the situation was my fault .
"I just thought you'd care Addy,I mean ....forget it."he sighed and slumped his shoulder as if his world was ending.
"You must be joking !Alexis its not me who should care and its not like we're still married so I don't understand why my reaction to your fiancé being pregnant being of some significance ."He was simply infuriating .Where was the ever so confident Alexis?The man I fell in love with .
"What do you really want from me Alexis?"She was furious and he knew that he was just being silly demanding her attention like some wimp but he still wished she would shout at him for being careless .Its not like he loved Bridget anyway ,he was just lost and now with Addy everything was a lot confusing.
"I just...I want ...can we just ..."he sighed and stared at his son with a longing that even I thought the man had some incurable disease.
''Dada!'' Baby Addy spoke in his baby like voice as he brought his little hands to his father's cheeks which were now transformed into a permanent grin.
"Did he just ?that little pumpkin ,how dare you betray your mother!"I happily picked him up and we both gushed at our little bundle of joy.
"Well I guess now we know who his favorite is."Alexis pinched baby Addy's cheeks.
"Hell no Mister! You were staring at him without even blinking so he just wanted to make sure you weren't dead."I passed Thomas to him as i went into the kitchen to fix both of them something to eat.
"He still said Daddy, right my boy?"And to that Thomas drooled on his father while muttering "Dada"as if its a new song he just learnt.
A very weird day had turned into a fun one thanks to Thomas.l was proud that my baby could speak.And now to deal with that woman who was trying to ruin the man i loved ,Addy called her private investigator and gave him the details of Bridget and that the man's only mission would be to find out the truth about everything cause as far as rumors go Bridget was barren .Addy would do something since Alexis cared so much about how she reacts to his own folly when it comes to the women he sleeps with.She would save him since he was busy complicating things with his needy childish behaviors that were just too cute.The man was just different from how he used to be and Addy felt like she never knew him at all .
Who was he and why was he holding his wife intimately and why the fuck was she giggling ?she never does that with him.Then again he was still a complete stranger "a sperm donor"as she had said.
Earlier while he was busy with his family ,this annoying man had strut in without even knocking and his Addy had neglected whatever she was doing and practically jumped on the guy as if her life depends on it.And now they were both oblivious to him as if he was invincible while they conversed intimately.
His son had the same expression on his face as his mom was occupied by someone else."I don't like him too."Alexis chuckled as he watched his little boy frown at the stranger.
"And who might this be?"The blond guy pointed at him as if he was a pest.
"Her husband."Alexis glared at the man not even intending to correct his 'mistake'
"He is Thomas's father."Addy rolled her eyes at him as he glared back.She didn't correct him,he smiled proudly at his marked territory.
"Oh OK.So are you available later?"The blond rudely ignored Alexis which seemed to infuriate him more.
"She is not free ."Alexis went over to Addy with Thomas on his hip and both the boys glared at the blond guy.
"Alexis!"Addy warned as he sensed his foul mood.He didn't need him to go all cowboy on her newly found relative.
"Look here you annoying selfish prick that abandoned my little cousin to go fuck some plastic dolled bitch!! I'm taking her out and you're gonna babysit that little bundle of joy."Addy watched in amazement at Alexis who seemed apologetic at his wrong doings being blatantly told by a stranger.
"That is not any of your business and if you two want to leave go right ahead.'' Addy looked between the two men wondering what to do with the whole tension .She was happy that Alexis was jealous but right now all she needs is Adrian's help with the whole Bridget thing.
"Alexis I'm just going to be gone for 30 minutes then I'll come back ."She touched his arm and for the first time his eyes were glued to her and only her.
"30 minutes only right?"he took hold of her hands and stared at her as if she was leaving for ever.
"For god sake you two!! We are going across the street not to the moon."Adrian added annoyed at the two of them.How childish could they get?
"Come back soon Addy."Alexis didn't know why his heart felt like it was losing something as Addy left the house.
"it's just across the street ,nothing will happen to her."He comforted himself as he had a really bad feeling that something tragic was gonna happen.

"Addy what's wrong?"Adrian was surprised that these two had connected so well in just a few weeks.It must be true love he concluded.
"I just feel like I won't be able to see him again,"She looked back at her house.
"You really love him.Look we are almost there ,nothing bad is gonna happ....."Adrian knew he spoke too soon as a man in a motorcycle shot Addy right on her chest and drove off leaving behind a bloody Adrian who did his best to stop the blood flow while waiting for the ambulance.
Back at home Alexis couldn't help his heart ache and Thomas kept being irritable and mumbling "mama".Without wasting his time Alexis called her and after a few minutes Adrian picked up and demanded he rush to the hospital as soon as possible.
Alexis was a mess ,he kept blaming himself that if only he had stopped her from leaving with Adrian ,Why would anyone try to kill his Addy?Is she going to be okay ?But one thing was for sure ...who ever did this is gonna pay big time.
"How is she?Is she OK?"Alexis let the tears fall as he grabbed a nervous Adrian who thought the man was gonna murder him
"She is still in surgery but the doctors said she lost a lot of blood so ..."
"She is gonna be fine."Alexis kept mumbling like a mad man.He couldn't lose her again .He knew now that he felt something for her.
"Where is Thomas?"Adrian questioned the distraught man sitting next to him.
"With my sister.Did you see the guy that did this?"
Before Adrian could answer a doctor came out of the operation room.
"I'm sorry sir but your wife has...?
