Chapter 87: Chapter 86
Beside him was a middle-aged man in a colorful dress and pointy witch hat. He simply tilts his head in the direction of the door with a smile. Hisashi then walked in as Romon followed behind. There he sees a beautiful room full of books, ornaments, and flowing water. There's also a grand chandelier in the middle of the ceiling and lights that lit the room beautifully. On the other side of the room, Hisashi can feel three presence, but can only see two people.
One of them was a young man about his age, maybe a bit older, with golden ornaments and black spiky hair. Beside him was a young child about 10 years old in a royal dress. She was holding a long magician staff with royal aesthetics on her right hand. A second later, the water at the back of the throne starts to form as the third presence gets clearer.
'This… I didn't expect to encounter them just after leaving that place. Maybe I can talk to them later and ask about a way to get there. I'm sure that that damn lady won't take me in again.'
There, a blue water spirit forms, towering behind the young queen. "Greetings, traveler. I am the Water Spirit, guardian of the Heart Kingdom. To what can I refer to you? Sir Romon, you can go now."
Seeing her respectfulness was quite different from the inviting Romon earlier. 'Does she know something? She's one of those that Ariel was talking about, isn't she? She's one of those who left their world. Her presence is enough to tell me.'
Hisashi, after residing at Geistavana, has learned quite a few things. One of those is the difference in the presence of a spirit. Just like how demons, demon-possessed, and humans have different presences than one another, spirits have their unique flair too. No matter how skilled Undine is at suppressing her presence, which she quite is but still not enough, Hisashi's sensitivity to things far overpowers it.
It didn't help that her mana, despite also being suppressed, is unique in a way that it blends with nature so much like they are one. Hisashi bows at this as he removes his straw hat. They see the long red hair and sharp red eyes as he raises his head.
"My name is Gozu, from the Land of the Sun, Hino Country of the Oriental Continent." Hearing the name and seeing the weapons, Lolopechka and Undine arrived at the same conclusion. However, Undine was late to prevent the queen's youthful curiosity.
"Oh! Do you know a man with black hair and an ugly lazy face? I heard that there's a foreigner like that in Clover Kingdom! He has a unique magic, and they said that he's from the Land of Sun." Undine wanted to stop her midway but she saw the slight change in Hisashi's expression. So instead, she wanted to know about their connection.
"Hmmm… I've heard of someone like that before. He's notorious for being a troublemaker and was said to one day turn missing. Some rumors said that he went to sea and never came back. Is this where he went off to?" He doesn't want to lie, but he has no reason to be honest, at least for now.
Despite his unconscious soft side for kids because of his not-so-normal childhood, Hisashi didn't dare to blindly trust the young queen. His positive inclination has yet to prevail over the knowledge of the demon's existence on this continent. No matter who, he cannot trust anyone.
"Oh… Is that so? I was hoping that you know him personally. That way, we can request for him from the Clover Kingdom and help you. That way, you can be more at ease and Lolopechka can learn more about your culture." Undine said, with Lolopechka being excited. However, she senses something amiss.
"Wait… How did you know our language? If I remember correctly, some stories about that foreigner said something about him now knowing the language?" Undine recalled the famous young boy. Although detailed story and description didn't arrive to them, his uniqueness still caused quite a lot of stir in the main regions of Clover Kingdom where they heard some of the stories. It helps that the foreigner is also a troublemaker and the two kingdoms have friendly relations.
With Lolopechka's curiosity about everything, knowing about a new culture a new discovery that would make her happy. Although she hasn't encountered the foreigner of the Clover Kingdom, she now has a teen from the same land.
Seeing her excitement, Undine knows that befriending this man is the only way to satisfy Lolopechka's childish curiosity that she has yet to overcome. She wanted to help her become a great queen but her morals wanted her to be happy too.
"I've long aspired to be an adventurer. So, I looked for a teacher ever since I was a kid and luckily, I found one. She was a vagabond, just like me. And she has been to many different continents. Although it was amateurish, she also learned about many different useful knowledge that she imparted to me. I only enhanced it by traveling to other regions of our continent and looking for more knowledge."
Hisashi once again gave a half-truth. But inwards, she was cursing Ariel for although giving him a convenience, it also made him suspicious. Now, the only thing he had to explain was his fluency which is pretty easy.

On another continent, Jeimi was sitting on a campfire, she was covered in a robe made of light that kept her warm despite the strong winds and cold snow. The icy plains that she was in would freeze anything if you put it in the middle of the white storm.
Just then, she sneezed. *Achoo*. "I was wearing the warming robe! Who the fuck was thinking about me again!?" She said as she sneezed for another time.

Back in the Heart Kingdom, Undine didn't say anything to Hisashi's statement. She didn't accept the answer, nor did she ignore it.
"Then, Sir Gozu. On what purpose do you explore the world? Is it for the thrill? For treasure? For strength? Or for something else?" The water spirit asks. She doesn't know a bit about Hisashi but depending on his response, even if he lies, she'll know whether he is hostile to them or not.
