Chapter 2: Party

"Happy birthday, Clarke!" Martha Kent joyfully said to a six year old, dark haired, blue eyed girl who wore a party hat, a princess dress and looked quite unhappy.

"Are you still mad about the dress, sweetie?" Jonathan Kent, husband to Martha Kent, asked with a wry smile.

"I told you I don't like these kind of dresses!" Clarke scowled back at him.

"You don't like any kind of girly clothes and if your hair wasn't as indestructible as you, you would have cut it down when you were four. However, I wanted to have a picture of you in a princess dress to embarrass you if you brought a husband home one day," Jonathan said in between fits of laughter. Clarke glared at him thought to Jonathan, it might as well be cute.

'If only I had lasers, I would have shut your mouth!' she cursed before turning to the cake.

She was angry, mostly at the female ROB that made her this way, and also her parents who seemed to be enjoying her misery. Vengefully, she took a deep breath before blowing at the candles. However, everything went wrong at that point for what she blew out was not normal six years old weak breath but a hurricane like gust that blew the cake back to flour while sweeping everything in front of it away, going in for a mile!

"Oh my gosh!" Martha exclaimed in alarm, looking at the destruction caused by the harmless action. Jonathan was the first to recover, going straight to Clarke, knelt beside her and put a hand on her forehead.

"Are you alright, honey? Does anything hurt? Are you out of breath?" he asked in a caring tone. Clarke felt the warmth from his worry and was reminded once again why the couple were close to becoming her favorite parents so far.

"A little breathless but otherwise I'm okay," she answered, smiling reassuringly at him. This was not the first time her powers appeared at the most unfortune times.

The first power to her appear was her strength when she was barely walking. The Kents had brought home a puppy to keep with them and she had not gained her memories or much intelligence so she went to play with it. One slap and the puppy was blown out of the house, all the bones on its body turned to mush! The Kents were horrified when they saw this, became cautious around her to no end.

Her second power was invulnerability which appeared during a church bus accident a few weeks later. Everyone was injured and except her which raised some brows from the authorities and medics. Martha refused to have her checked up scared they would find out her secret from a blood sample.

Her third power was her increased hearing which appeared when Martha and Jonathan Kent were having sex when she was two years old and her memories were restored. To say she was slightly traumatized would be an understatement.

The fourth was her ability to fly. This came when they were bailing and she accidentally slipped, fell from the top of a stack of bale and floated mid air before a neighbor came to meet Jonathan. It was a close call, but not as close as this one! If Martha had been in front of her instead of standing beside her while pinching her cheeks, she would have reduced to nothing but a bloody smear in the ground.

"I...I'm sorry," she told both of them, seeing how shaken Martha was. She then got off the chair and ran to the barn where she proceeded to fly to the second floor where her little secret, to her imagination, hideout was. Most kids would have telescopes, toys or things like that but she had drawings of all kinds.

She was a comic and animation artist in her last life and this talent was amplified to godly levels during this lifetime. She drew when she was stressed and she his was such occasion. She picked an empty paper, took a pencil and started drawing just for the sake of it.

Slowly, she got into a trance while drawing, her mind fully concentrated yet being muddy at the same time. Her hand was going faster and faster till she was but a blur while also making sure the paper would not be torn by her drawing. When she finally came to, she saw a realistic looking 3d drawing of herself in the solar armor that belonging to the OG Superboy Prime.

"That's a nice drawing," Martha said from behind her, startling her a bit.

"You like it?" she asked, masking her nervousness. Martha smiled kindly before kissing her gently on her forehead.

"Clarke, I hope you know there's nothing you can do that can make me hate you right?" she said in a reassuring voice.

"You looked...scared before,"

"My daughter just blew out a hurricane out of nowhere, anyone would be surprised. As for the scared look, I apologize, some thoughts were stuck in my head," Martha said with a kind smile. "You are my baby girl and I will not hate you for something you can't control." Clarke nodded before turning to look at her drawing.

"What's this?" Martha asked.

"What I aspire to be in a he future," Clarke answered. 'Otherwise I'll loose my memories of being a man!'

"Grown up you look beautiful," Martha commented with a smile.

"I hope so or this drawing will be mocking me," she answered.

"Say, how about we continue celebrating your birthday, with no cake this time?"

"Yes, I'ld love that," Clarke answered with a bright smile. Martha smiled back before hugging her snugly.

"I love you so much, Clarke," she said and Clarke could hear her heartbeat and the slight tremor in her voice, indicating her sincere-ness. She hugged her back, albeit with as minimum force as she could least Martha died this time.
