Chapter 13: Crazy level up
Kolvar followed behind Hunter without making a noise. His teeth, however, stuttered in pure fear. Elisia's room was a few doors away from Xander's. On their way to Elisia's room, Hunter stopped for a moment. Hunter stared at the door with the word 'Jayden' engraved. Kolvar's heart skipped a beat. Among all the people in the manor, Jayden was the only one who treated slaves with some kindness. Unlike Elisia, he had never laid a finger on a slave. So the slaves did not hate Jayden as much as they hated his family.
"What are you doing?" Kolvar panicked when Hunter used the master key to open Jayden's room.
"I am going to give him a hug," Hunter snickered. The door slowly creaked open as Kolvar saw Jayden peacefully sleeping on his bed. Kolvar wanted to grab Parker's hand and stop him. But his body refused. But to Kolvar's surprise, Hunter put his dagger onto his waist and grabbed the purple towel hanging on the wall. He slowly stepped toward Jayden. Without making a sound, Hunter slowly grabbed the piece of iron ore Jayden had on his study table beside the bed. Hunter weighed the iron ore in his hand. It was quite heavy. Suddenly, Hunter slammed the iron ore against Jayden's face, knocking him out cold.
Hunter then proceeded to cut the towel into three long pieces using his dagger. He used them to tie Jayden's legs, arms, and around his mouth to prevent Jayden from shouting or casting a spell. Despite Parker's scrawny body, Hunter used all the strength his body could muster. As a result, Jayden didn't even move.
He dragged Jayden out of the room to Elisia's doorstep.
"Watch him until I get that bitch," Hunter ordered Kolvar before sneaking into Elisia's room. Her bed's leg was tall enough to hide Elisia's body. Kolvar waited outside Elisia's room, shivering. Through the gap, he noticed Hunter sneaking toward Elisia's bed. To Hunter's surprise, the bed was empty. He noticed the two windows were wide open. For a moment, Hunter thought Elisia had sneaked out of her room. He looked at the cupboard beside her bed. The golden chalice still had half a glass full of wine. In the golden chalice surface, Hunter noticed a shadow sneaking behind him.
Kolvar was about to shout at Hunter. He felt a chill crawling down his spine when he noticed Elisia sneaking behind Hunter.
"You slave dog," Elisia growled as she threw her fist from behind. Surprisingly, Hunter just swayed his body slightly to the right, evading Elisia's punch. He grabbed her fist, turned around, and punched her right in the chest. The force of the punch made Elisia stumble backward a few steps. Her eyes glimmered with shock and surprise.
"You," Elisia was startled. Not only had a slave broken into her room, but also that slave was her favorite toy. The cripple slave stood in front of her on his two legs. Her eyes glimmered with murderous lust.
"You aren't supposed to walk," said Elisia.
"You just made the biggest mistake of your pathetic life, slave. I am going to enjoy this," she licked her lips.
"Father's going to love hearing about this," Elisia cracked her knuckles. She was about to take a step forward when she saw Hunter grinning.
"I just met your father and mother,"
Elisia's murderous grin froze on her face. Hunter slowly raised his palm, showing the blood on his hand.
"Your father screamed like a pig when I gutted him like one," His words made Elisia tremble. She couldn't even imagine losing her father.
"Aww, are you sad?" Hunter pouted.
"Don't worry, darling. You will reunite with your family soon,"
"ARGH!" Elisia lunged at Hunter, filled with overwhelming fury. She swung her fist left and right. Anger blinded her mind. Otherwise, she would have used a single spell to blast Hunter onto the wall. Hunter knew this very well. He evaded all her punches easily. Unlike Parker, Hunter was trained in every combat technique there was. A mage like Elisia was no match for Hunter in a close combat battle. Still, Hunter didn't dare to underestimate her. He quickly tore a cloth piece from his raggedy tunic.
"Tsk tsk tsk," Hunter ridiculed her after easily evading her attacks.
Plop!
He slapped the back of Elisia's head. She was enraged. Through the crack, Kolvar witnessed their fight and couldn't believe his eyes. Parker was actually beating up Elisia. With eyes full of murderous rage, she tried to kick Hunter in the gut. Just as before, Hunter evaded her leg, moved behind her, and wrapped the cloth around her mouth. He immediately tied a strong knot, preventing Elisia from casting a spell. Hunter didn't think Elisia could cast a chantless spell. Only powerful mages were capable of casting chantless spells.
"HRGGHH!" Elisia's words were suppressed by the cloth around her mouth. Before she could untie the knot, Hunter quickly grabbed her face and punched her in the face. Her nasal bone cracked with a sickening crunch. Blood spurted out as her eyes turned blood red. She screamed in pain. This was the first time she had experienced such intense pain.
Using her pain to his advantage, Hunter swung his body, spin-kicking Elisia right in the head. The force of his kick knocked Elisia to the ground. He put his feet on her throat,
"Do you remember you beat a slave to death because his pinky touched your hand?" Hunter asked Elisia. She struggled against his feet on her throat. He was surprisingly strong for a scrawny guy. Kolvar felt chill looking at the scene.
"How do you feel now? My stinking feet against your throat. Karma is a bitch, isn't she?" Hunter chuckled.
"HRRGHHH!" Elisa growled as Hunter slowly drew his dagger out. Kolvar's heartbeat steadily rose. He expected Hunter to end Elisia's life as he did to Xander and his wife. But to his surprise, Hunter didn't plunge the dagger through Elisia's heart but hit her with the dagger's hilt.
Elisia stopped moving as she was knocked out cold.
"You're not dying this easily," Hunter snickered. He grabbed her golden hair before dragging her out of the room. He met Kolvar shivering at the doorway.
"Follow me," This time, Hunter led the way. Where he was going, he knew the way better than Kolvar because Parker used to spend so much time there.
The guards had fallen asleep. He halted his steps when he arrived before the guards' room. Letting go of Elisia's hair, he peeked through the gap to see the guards snoring. Hunter used a piece of cloth to cover his mouth and sneaked into the room with his dagger in his hand. He counted eight guards in the room. Usually, Xander had at least twenty guards in the manor. However, because he sent most of the guards to burn down a shipment of devil's breath imported by a noble family in Bellburn city, only eight guards remained inside while two patrolled the outside. With Roger, a level 32 Sage Warrior as his personal guard, Xander did not need many guards, to be honest. It was unfortunate that Roger went to Bellburn to get his new armor forged. Otherwise, Hunter couldn't have killed Xander so easily.
Kolvar shivered, seeing Hunter walking into the guards room. Every fiber in Kolvar's body told him to drag Parker away from the room. But at that moment, he could only stand in the doorway and see Hunter raising the dagger in the air. Under Kolvar's shocked gaze, Hunter plunged the dagger into the guard's throat on the bed before him. Because of the sleeping gas, the other soldiers didn't even bulge to the sound of blood spurting out. Hunter grabbed the soldier's mouth just to be safe and slit his throat.

Hunter heard the system's voice in his head. Ignoring the sounds for a moment, Hunter moved on to the next guard. Just like before, Hunter grabbed the soldier's mouth and slit his throat.

One by one, Hunter killed every soldier in the room. When he stopped, his whole body was drenched in blood. The strong scent of blood nauseated Kolvar. Blood trickled through the dagger as Hunter stood in the middle of the room with a grin. By killing the guards in the room, he jumped from Apprentice level 2 to Apprentice level 10. He grinned, staring at his status window.

However, his killing spree wasn't going to come to an end. He still had two more lives to take. But before leaving the room, Hunter quickly bought a highly flammable can of liquid from the system. Unlike the fuels back on earth, it was a slimy jade liquid. According to the system, it was several times more flammable than petrol. Kolvar saw a black can appear in Hunter's hand out of nowhere. As Hunter poured down the slimy green liquid all over the guards and the room, he smelled a strange smell. Its smell made Kolvar crave more.
Hunter did not stop in the guards' room. He continued to pour the liquid until he reached Xander's room. Then, he poured the liquid on both Jayden and Elisia.
"What is this?" asked Kolvar. His eyes were glistening with shock and fear.
"You will see," Hunter dragged Elisia downstairs in one hand while pouring the liquid onto the ground with the other.
Kolvar silently followed Hunter downstairs. When they climbed down the stairs, Hunter took a turn. He placed his hand on one of the books on the rack. The moment Hunter pulled down the book, a clicking sound resonated from the rack. Slowly, the book rack opened, revealing a secret underground passage lit with torches.
Just the sight of this underground passage gave Kolvar chills. Hunter dragged Elisia down the stairs to Xander family's personal torture chamber. This time, the one who was going to get tortured was not Parker but Elisia.
