Chapter 45: Tremor

Seol hates being confined, being denied her right to movement. It is one thing her parents had never done. She had never been denied before, until she met Seo. She could have escaped her chamber just to show him she cannot be kept under lock and key but then, with winter clad Shinju open before her, Seol knows that she had nowhere to go, not unless Seo is there to accompany.

They had gone on so many adventures together, rides, hikes, walks through the town. She feels incomplete, left to her own devices. Then Min Ha had to crane her neck over her embroidery and comment that her Phoenix looked more like a peacock. It is then that Oh An Ah finally remembers to pay her princess a visit.

At the first glance one would have mistaken her for a maid. Gone were the fragile, exquisite fashions that the young lady of Ohs favored. Instead she had gone for a mute blue that was only a shade more colorful than Seol's preferred white. Her expression was weary as she made her greetings.
