Chapter 3: 3. Journey To Exam Site.

In these six months I learned to do meditation.
It's very difficult to keep the concentration and not think of anything else.
I had difficulties focusing on meditation on the first week and got the hang of it after some practise.
Not all I did was meditation but also some swordsmanship practise.
Not anything too difficult or complex.
But light basics like swinging, stabbing .
After some time of practice with my saber it got broke. I had to make new one done by the village blacksmith.
During the end of November I was able to sense the presence of aura in my body.
It almost took me 4 months to just sense my aura.
I was only able to sense my aura not my aura nodes. so, no nen untill exams I think.
so, I plan to get familiar with the aura in my body untill I officially learn about nen after the hunter exam.
From then on I only meditated and got familiar with aura.
Even simply feeling the presence of aura in the body is intoxication.
I feels like I'm high with drugs and alcohol.
I wonder how it feels to properly wield aura fat free will.
This routine continued untill December.
Then I went to Dolle harbor to apply for 287th hunter exam.
During the end of the month I got notice that I have to head to Zaban city for the exam site on January 7th 1999.
I want to be there in Dolle harbor on 6th January that's when Gon and gang arrived at the Dolle harbor.
I left the village 2 days before the hunter exam because the travel from the village to Dolle harbor takes about one day on foot.
As I walk I start to remember the events of the hunter exam.
The next day.
I arrived at the harbor in the morning.
after my breakfast I went near the shipyard to look for Gon and gang.
There I saw the captain giving advice to Gon about the short cut to hunter exam
"You see that big cedar tree 🌲 on top of the hill, you should head over there that's the shortcut for the exam" the captain tells Gon.
" Yeah got it, thanks for the tip" Gon replies and heads out.
I also saw the creeper that follows Gon till quiz exam lurking around.
I don't want to be like him and head towards Gon to talk about heading together.
"Hello, I'm Deep Aras and I couldn't help but overhear about the shortcut to the exam from captain. mind if I come with you" I asked Gon along the way
"Oh, I'm Gon and I don't mind you can come with me" Gon replied with a smile.
I was relieved at this answer.
It's been a year since I got transmigrated into this world but I still don't know what I have to do. I don't have any goals for the moment and I will be finding it out during the hunter exam.
As I was making the plans we came near the bus stop where Leorio and Kurapika are waiting for Gon.
"Hey guys" Gon calls them.
" Hey Gon .who this person might be?" Kurapika asks.
" Him, he is Deep, we met on the way and he asked me if we can go together to the exam site" Gon replies.
"And Deep this is Kurapika and Leorio" Gon introduce them to me.
Kurapika just nods and Leorio just clicks his tongue 👅 at the new arrival.
"we are getting late" Leorio says to us.
"Oh the captain said that we should head to the old cedar tree 🌲" he tells as he points to the tree.
"This doesn't make sense the cedar tree is over here and the Zaban city is all the way over the other side" Leorio replies as he shows the map.
"I don't know I will head where the captain showed the direction and he doesn't have a reason to lie to me" gon replied.
" I will follow Gon, he intruges me" replies Kurapika.
"me too" I replied.
" Fine then I will go by the bus" Leorio starts to head to the other direction.
As we were on our way Leorio returns to us after hearing the gossip.
"hey guys wait I am comming with you just to make sure you are all right" Leorio tells us.
Gon just smiles at this, Kurapika also smiles and I chuckled at this. Leorio glare at me for laughing.
as we head towards the cedar tree we make way in the familiar alley way. the same in the anime.
"There is not even a single soul at site" Leorio tells to himself.
"No there are a bunch of people here" Gon replies.
just then the entrance of the hold hag takes place with her gang.
"who are they? what a wierd costume" Leorio asks outloud.
"This might be another test from the hunter exam committee" I answered Leorio's question.
"Exciting" the old hag says.
"exciting" Leorio repeats nervously.
"Exciting" the old hag says again.
"exciting" Leorio repeats again while gulping his saliva.
"Time for the exciting multiple choice quiz!!!" the old hag exlaims outloud suddenly contradicting the earlier persona.
everyone was deaspaned at this even me who knew this would happen.
"Oh it turns out that I am an expert in multiple choice quiz" leorio replies.
"You must answer one multiple choice question before you pass this area for the exam site and your answer must be either option 1 or 2 anything other than that is considered incorrect" the hag explains.
"That means we all must answer to the same question and if that means if Kurapika gets the answer wrong I will be disqualified" leorio says.
"That's not likely to happen. but if our roles are reversed it's all but inevitable" Kurapika replies and acts like its hopeless.
"Wanna repeat that"Leorio yells at Kurapika.
" It's ok even if one of us knows the answer we will pass" Gon replies with a smile.
