Chapter 161: No Longer Strangers

"Hmm, perhaps it's not suitable, you are not the only protagonist of the painting after all," Yovan murmured with a raised eyebrow, "I... I Against The World." For the first time since they met, Im narrowed her eyes.
Yovan strangely didn't take the painting with him but left it with her. That painting... It may be the most important painting in the world, but it isn't to him. His most important painting has yet to be made.
Most interestingly though is the fact that the question option didn't appear this time. Normally, at the end of every countdown, he would be able to ask Limitless a question, but such an option was absent this time.
Yovan wasn't sure whether there was a limit to how many questions he can ask, or he just broke the system with the use of his luck luck devil fruit.
Either way, it doesn't matter. There was no question worth asking at the moment, or more like he doesn't have any doubt to solve. His path was already set in stone, and all that remains is for him to hammer it numerous times, and make it stable.
Yovan rejoined his crew. He, of course, already told them that he solved his misfortune problem, so they weren't too worried, not when they know that the true monster isn't misfortune but Yovan.
"Cap! Where to?" Laffitte excitedly asked. Yovan told them before the end of the countdown that there will be an exciting adventure for them to take after he comes back, an adventure unlike anything they'd ever done before.
So naturally, they were quite excited because his words said a lot considering the ridiculous adventures they've been through.
"Northwest, let's just move northwest, as far northwest as we can go," Yovan said with a smile, also looking forward to the journey.
"What's northwest?" Pudding excitedly asked with certain expectations, and Reiju also shared the curiosity.
"Could it be??" Laffitte's eyes widened, and his mouth also stretched out into a grin.
"Let's get the One Piece." Yovan nodded with a grin.

"Bwahahahaha, finally! Let's see what this one piece is all about!" Bege's imagination ran wild with expectation, desiring jewelry more than anything else.
"Yahooo! Then let's set up a trap! No, let's take away the One Piece, then release the location of the One Piece! Everyone would then fight for nothing!! Luhahahahahahaah!" Laffitte laughed loudly, and it was quite the evil laugh one might say.
"Don't get ahead of yourself. Let's think about what we'll do with it when the time comes," Yovan shook his head as he narrowed his eyes, "But let's visit Elbaf, the Kingdom of the giants while we're on the way."
"Elbaf?" Kalifa raised a brow, "That's one of the very few places that we have yet to make an enemy of, so I guess it makes sense." She knows Yovan too well, so she realized his goal.
"Huh? Am I such a person in your eyes? Well, that hurts my feelings. I only want some peace." Yovan shook his head with a sigh.
"Yes!"
"Yes!"
"Yes."
"Yes!"
"Yes!"
Well, Yovan could only remain silent. Is there anyone he hadn't made an enemy of? All the Four Emperors are his enemies, even the newly rising Emperor, Blackbeard.
Yovan was more like an untitled Emperor as doesn't have any land in New World, and he had lost interest in becoming one of the Four Emperors.
The Marines hate him. The World Government especially hates him and fears him, most of the fear coming from the World Nobles. Hell, even the people hate him for all the chaos he causes.
Pirates also hate him because, for all his contributions against the Marines, there are some opposite contributions against Pirates as it became known that he was the one who launched the bounty system against pirates.
Most pirates now are in fear, knowing that their location is constantly being monitored and that it can be bought by anyone, especially the Marines.
Those rumors spread everywhere, transferring most of the hatred from the Pantheon to Yovan despite the former still standing by the bounty system.
Yovan was slowly but surely accumulating hatred, so much hatred it was getting ridiculous, yet he didn't care. Instead, he only went on to add the fuel to the fire.
The Strangers slowly made their way through New World, leaving behind only bits of chaos. They seemed to have settled down a bit much to the World's relief.
They were more so making memories and having fun here and there. They were like a family, no longer Strangers. No matter how much time has passed, they were still Strangers to the world, but not to each other.
And soon, they reached the Kingdom of giants. Elbaf is an island and kingdom in the New World that is inhabited by giants and is considered to be the strongest country in the world due to its army famed for its strength.
It is located east of Wano Country, so it wasn't too far away from their previous location, but it still took them a few months to reach it. They weren't in a hurry, not at all.
"Wahh, it's really the Kingdom of giants!" Pudding remarked as she eyed the Island far away. It was so far away, yet it still look so enormous, like a steep cliff, far above the ocean. Then there were the numerous Giant mountains reaching and even surpassing the clouds.
"W-what's that?" Reiju asked with wonder. She wasn't talking about the fish that jumped out of the ocean, tens of times bigger than the Strangers' ship, Seizon No Hono. No, she was talking about something far bigger and more majestic.
The fish was one of many they encountered on their way here. In fact, its size was very tame in comparison to some other creatures that tried to devour their ship, such as a shark that jumped after the fish, ten times bigger than the latter.
The Shark was so unbelievably enormous that despite only targetting the fish, its enormous mouth was still wide enough to also envelop Seizon No Hono and hundreds of meters around them.
Everything around Elbaf was massive, way too massive, but sometimes, just on some rare occasions, one can safely say that size isn't everything.
Sometimes, even a tiny feather can get the job done and can cause a fucking shark to moan in fright. That tiny feather quickly floated with the wind, coming in contact with one of the sharks' fangs. Teeth that are many times larger than galleon ships can only be described as such.
The feather didn't go in, yet it caused the shark to moan, and its Island-sized eyes to widen. That all happened in a split second, but something else was even faster, the even more enormous tentacles that spurted from the sea, enveloping the shark and pulling back down.
The Strangers watched this all happen with strange expressions. Even the 'lucky' fish was slack-jawed, and it could only swim away as fast as possible.
"It's ridiculous," Kalifa remarked as she turned her attention to Yovan, basically the one responsible for what just happened.
"Yahhaha, I know, right?" Yovan was in a very good mood as his mastery over his luck luck fruit increased beyond imagination, maybe due to his World Crow's affinity with fortune and misfortune.

Now even his feathers are considered a part of him, thus he can steal luck from anyone just with his feathers touching them, just like he did now, stealing the shark's luck. Therefore, basically granting upon it misfortune.
Such a ridiculous scene was very common for the few last months as Yovan continued to experiment with his Devil Fruit along with his Misfortune powers. The combination of the two shall be a very vital piece to the last Countdown, a countdown which is near.
Yovan's fabulous eyes landed upon the most majestic thing in Elbaf, something nothing he had seen so far even came close to rivaling its magnificence, a tree.
At the very center of the Island was a tree that was beyond majestic, breaching the clouds. No, it was more like only its base was breaching the clouds, and its top was nowhere to be seen, seemingly in sought of the sun.
