Chapter 96: giant asteroid

Although the sky appears to be very dark, there is a faint red light that is gradually becoming brighter. People in city Z on that day will be surprised when they look up because they will immediately be able to see a giant asteroid rapidly approaching their city.

"Move!... don't get in my way!"

"Get out of the way... I'm trying to get somewhere!"

"I don't want to die here... quickly get out of the way!"

"Don't shove me. I brought a little kid with me!"

The residents of city Z, who were previously well-behaved and composed during the evacuation, now appear to be acting more irrationally. In this context, "irrational" refers to those who are pushing each other in a state of panic. These residents no longer care about the safety of the people around them because their primary concern right now is with preserving their own lives.

"Please don't push each other."

"Calm down. Everyone will be rescued. There is no need to panic."

"Someone give a call into the Hero Association headquarters. We need them to send more reinforcements because if it's just us, we won't be able to hold this crowd back."

Not only did regular citizens freak out, but even the heroes standing among them did the same thing. This was because not only did they need to get the people trapped in the city to be evacuated, but they also needed to get themselves out of there.

In the middle of the crowd of people jostling each other, there was a bald man wearing a white cape with his yellow hero costume and red gloves, and next to him was a human cyborg with blonde hair that was quite striking. In fact that this cyborg man is quite famous, but the people around him don't seem to care because their lives are more important now.

"Master, we are going to be stuck in this place at this rate," Genos said as he tried to get as close to Saitama as possible, but the sea of humans around him made it difficult to move.

Saitama was not much different. He has even been punched a few times, and he would scream in annoyance every time his feet were trampled mercilessly.

"Don't give up, Genos. The finish line is in sight!" Saitama struggles to respond, and even though he can push this sea of people aside, Saitama knows that if he does so, he will simply end up killing these people before the asteroid crashes.

Genos suggested to Saitama, "Master, why don't we go through the roof of the building?" after analyzing the situation, he knew it was the best option. Thankfully, Genos's Master was not stubborn, as Saitama quickly nodded in agreement with Genos's suggestion.

To cut a long story short, Genos grabbed Saitama's hand before he activated the rocket that was hidden behind his back, which propelled them both to the top of the nearest building.

*swoosh

"uwoohh... hey, Genos, tell me first next time, or you will really give me a heart attack."

People who were still under the influence of impulse were momentarily taken aback by the action that Genos had just taken, but that surprise quickly faded away as the piercing siren of the Hero Association sounded once more, announcing the approximate time that the asteroid would crash into City Z.

[Attention to everyone in city Z, it is estimated that the asteroid will hit this city within thirty minutes. It is hoped that the residents who are still in the city will leave immediately, leave your belongings because your lives are more valuable]

[Once more, the asteroid that is a Dragon-level threat is soon going to hit this Z city in less than thirty minutes, and it is hoped that the Professional Heroes will help evacuate the residents who are still in the city]

"Please, Master Saitama, lend your strength one more time so we can save this city because I believe only Master can do that."

Saitama, who was initially surprised, then became a little embarrassed after hearing what Genos suddenly said. However, after taking a deep breath and looking at Genos with a serious look, he responded by saying, "Come on, Genos, we have to hurry."

Genos followed Saitama with admiration eye after seeing his Master, who had gone first, running on the roof of a building. This caused something to stir up inside Genos.

Genos murmured excitedly, "I've expected it from Master Saitama, his hero's attitude is indeed exemplary," but unbeknownst to Genos, Saitama is now really panicked, as the city in which he lives will soon be hit by an asteroid.

When Saitama and Genos were getting closer to the center of the city, where it would be the center of the asteroid crash, they were taken aback by the appearance of two people on the roof of the Z city branch of the Hero Association building.

Genos' cyborg eyes immediately zeroed in on the two individuals before conducting an examination of them. Through this process, he could determine the identity of one of the individuals.

"Fubuki, a professional Hero, class B rank 1."

Saitama exclaimed, "Wow, that guy's battle suit is really cool," as he pointed at the individual who was dressed in a full battle suit next to Fubuki.

But, Genos's brows furrowed when he could not determine the identity of the man wearing the battle suit. Additionally, Genos was able to deduce that the technology utilized by that battle suit was extremely cutting-edge.

After reaching the rooftop, Kaiser and Fubuki didn't waste any time in getting to work on their strategy. For a brief moment, Kaiser appeared to have a revelation and looked in a direction that wasn't too far away from him, but he just smiled behind his helmet before casting a glance in Fubuki's direction.

"what's wrong? Are you starting to feel scared now?"

Fubuki, who had previously been unable to do anything other than gape as she looked up at the enormous asteroid that was directly above her, snorted coldly after hearing the taunt from Kaiser and then responded with her arms crossed, saying:

"Hmph, say that to yourself… but remember that I won't forgive you if you slow me down."

Kaiser simply laughed and did not say anything else before beginning to fly and positioning himself directly under the asteroid. In the meantime, Fubuki was also getting ready when her body began to be enveloped in a bright green light, and a mighty wind began to slowly circle around the roof of the building.
