Chapter 9: Movie Queen 9
The crew filmed non-stop by staying overnight and starting before the sun even rise. Overall Feng Shi has been tired out since Meng Rou also keeps seeking death.
She tried to put ants in her tent, and drugs in her foods and drinks and pulled off other incidents. Feng Shi avoided it all though but when she makes her move Meng Rou would face an even more painful death. No, she will make her wish for death.
Feng Shi went to the slope after her makeup and hair were done. They are going to shoot the part where Feng Shi is confronted by the antagonist Meng Rou.
Meng Rou walks in her direction before 'accidentally' tripping. Feng Shi looked at her coldly walking to the side and then used her elbow to secretly nudge Meng Rou's hand.
The cup in Meng Rou's hand tilted towards her chest and the hot coffee that was supposed to be spilled on Feng Shi spilled on her instead "Ahh! It's hot! It's HOT!"
Meng Rou clutch her chest as tears spilled down her eyes. Everyone noticed the disturbance and went to take a look and immediately one of Meng Rou's friends went to help Meng Rou. "Miss Feng what have you done?!"
The friend who also took the video before accused Feng Shi immediately. Lou Shan also arrived and sneered "What proof do you have that Little Shi did it? That was her cup and for Feng Shi to scheme against some nobody just how thick is her face?"
Meng Rou was angered in embarrassment but her friend was also indignant "She could clearly have helped her yet she just stood in there. So even if it wasn't her fault she still could have helped! Young master Lou you shouldn't be so biased"
Lou Shan was about to talk back but Feng Shi raised her hand to stop him "Help her? Tell me, why should I help someone that tried to harm me so many times? I'm not a Buddha and Miss Meng Rou. Your shoes are tied, artists have been trained to walk properly, and we are in a clearing. There are no rocks or others. So, how did you trip? Or perhaps it is better to ask, what were you planning to do? Heh, I'm no fools Miss Meng but I was just too lazy to respond to your childish tricks"
Feng Shi walk closer to the pitiful-looking Meng Rou as the others silently watched. They are clear on who was the one responsible for the so-called pranks. The coldness in her eyes made the others shiver.
'Pah!' a loud slap rang as Meng Rou held her cheeks "Destroying my face? I think you clearly knew what you were up to. As your senior, it is my responsibility to 'teach' my juniors, especially someone as shameless and foolish as you. Just because you have someone behind you doesn't mean you're invincible. My patience is running thin Miss Meng"
Meng Rou silently cried as Feng Shi walked away. The others also look at her strangely before leaving. The friend just soothed her silently.
Someone went to the director and told him what happened which made the director furious. "Get that Meng Rou here now!"
The one that told the director went to Meng Rou's tent. She was holding an Ice Pack on her face and crying at Han Chu as they talk on the phone.
"It was just an accident huh I didn't mean anything at all but she just bullied me" The one who went in sneered when he heard it.
"Miss Meng the director is calling you. As for bullying, don't you know in your heart who was the true bully?" The person spoke before leaving not wanting to associate with someone like her.
Meng Rou greeted her teeth before ending the call. Even a lowly person dares to scold her. Who does he think he is?
Meng Rou clenched her fist angrily before composing herself again. She then went to the director who was talking to someone. "Director, you wanted to see me?" Meng Rou asks weakly.
The director turned around and look at her without even saying anything he also slap his other cheek. Meng Rou's eyes widened at first unable to react before tears threatened to fall on her face again. "Meng Rou you actually dare? Don't think that even if I didn't do anything regarding your foolish actions I actually don't know. If the movie hasn't developed this far I would have long replaced a vicious person like you. Even if we had already gone this far I could still replace you. It was Miss Feng who was considerate enough to let you off and not let others' efforts go to waste. If you don't even give this old man some face then I will not keep being lenient with you anymore!"
Meng Rou cried while the director raged. Deep inside Meng Rou is cursing this old fool. He should be thankful that she is here since Han Chu invested in this because of her acting in it yet they are not even a little bit thankful. One day, all these people will enviously look up to her and regret ever bullying her. If she wants to, she could make Han Chu block them in the circle. This is all that Feng Shi's fault. It must have been her who made everyone against her.
Meng Rou angrily thought in her heart that this is all Feng Shi's thoughts. Clearly, this is all the cause of her own action yet instead of taking responsibility she blamed it on Feng Shi and thought that others wronged her.
She couldn't even think of the other's hard work this month and if she had succeeded in destroying Feng Shi's face, they would have to either delay or start all over again with another artist. Face, Talent, and fame are what artists rely on, and without one of those their career would be ruined and she clearly knew it. She knew this clearly that's why she wanted to destroy her face.
On Han Chu's side, he looks at his assistant with a dark look "I want Feng Shi block in the entertainment industry and digs out any dirt she had on her"
The assistant felt pity for Feng Shi and wondered how she offended his boss before nodding "Yes sir"
The assistant then left to take care of his boss's order. However, after half a day the assistant went back to the office cautiously "Boss we couldn't find any dirt on her she is clean" The assistant nervously reported. Too clean even.
Han Chu frowned before glaring at his assistant "There is no one with no skeleton in their closet. If there is none then put one! Do I even need to tell you how to do your job?"
The assistant sweats before shaking his head "No sir, sorry I'll get it done immediately!" Saying that he bowed and immediately escaped before he was once again chewed out by his boss.
Han Chu slammed his fist into the table in irritation before stalking off towards another board meeting. For some reason, stocks are slowly falling and problems emerge one after the other in the company. Even his father has been alarmed by the stock-up issues and called him this morning.
In another office, Qin Si was signing some documents when one of his employees knock on his office "Come In"
A man with glasses walked in and Qin Si looked up in worry as, if he remembered correctly this was the man he ordered to protect Feng Shi. If someone actually had the guts to touch his love he would make them live a life of hell. Even he could not afford to touch a single strand of her hair.
The man shivered at Qin Si's menacing glare before reporting "Boss people from Bright Star Entertainment are checking Miss Feng. From our sources, we found out that they are trying to get some dirt on her"
Qin Si had a vicious glint in his eyes. This is the side of him that he dares not let Feng Shi see. The ferocious boss of the Qin Empire. "Protect her well and I want Bright Star Entertainment gone."
The man bowed after receiving the order "Don't worry boss we will take care of everything."
Then the door opened and his companion arrived, this man is Qin Xiao his cousin and their fathers are siblings. Seeing his cousin's dark face and who the man reporting is, he raised his arched brow "What? Someone bullied your future wife?" He asked jokingly.
The man with glasses reported to Qin Xiao what Bright Star Entertainment was doing and the man was shocked silly. "Someone actually had the guts to try and lay a finger on this Devil's future wife?!" He asked incredulously before he also smiled darkly. 'Wait a minute! That's also his future sister-in-law their bullying!'
Qin Si coldly glances at him before looking back at the paperwork. The man who reported was about to leave the door when Qin Xiao stop him. "Wait a minute. Bright Star Entertainment doesn't need to be destroyed completely. Cousin why don't you try gifting it to her that way you could at the very least get future sister-in-law's favor even if it could only obtain 0.1 percent of goodwill"
Qin Si thought about it for a while and nodded "Do as he says"
The man who didn't manage to leave shook his head and disagree "If the boss wants to earn her favor obtaining bright star Entertainment won't do as Miss Feng aims to destroy it. We could just help her out in the back?"
Qin Si wanted to agree before he remembered something and frowned before shaking his head. "With her independent and prideful nature, she would only be offended if I meddle with her affairs. She likes to do things on her own and depend on her own resources so touching her prey would only displease her. However, protecting her from them and acting as a shield would perhaps work"
He didn't know how soft his expression was when talking about Feng Shi shocking the other two in the room. They really wonder if this is still their devil-like boss. He is like a love-struck teenager when he talked about Feng Shi.
That is the biggest difference between Feng Shi and Meng Rou. Feng Shi prefers to rely on herself more than others even if it would make things easier while Meng Rou would always choose the easiest path.
Qin Si actually doesn't know why he knew Feng Shi so well. It wasn't like they have known each other for a while instead it looked like they have known each other for years.
As for Feng Shi who was in her own tent. She was currently reading a book in business when Xiao Wang who was on her lap perked up "Master be careful Meng Rou's hatred has reached its peak"
She looks down at Xiao Wang and hmned before brushing his fur "I know don't worry"
Xiao Wang also saw Qin Si's action and nodded in appreciation. This human is actually not bad since he is doing so much for his master. He is considerate and treated his master like a treasure that's why he likes Qin Si a little.
Xiao Wang send the video of Qin Si being considerate of her while Feng Shi was reading her script "Master why don't you consider this human as your partner in this lifetime he is good to you?"
Feng Shi sighed and gently touch his fur "Because I cannot fall in love with Xiao Wang as I will only leave them"
Xiao Wang doesn't understand his master's reasoning. "You would have to travel to tens, hundreds, or thousands of worlds what if you find someone you love then? If master closes her heart to everyone master will be lonely even with Xiao Wang."
"Then I would just have to think of a solution then. When I do find someone I love I will make sure that they don't leave me again" Feng Shi answered softly.
Feng Shi seems to realize what she just said. Leave her again? Did someone leave her before? She needs to try to remember her past only then can she understand and answer all her questions. Feng Shi couldn't focus on reading anymore and went too deep in her thoughts.
Thinking about someone she will love, a dark thought flashed in her mind. If she does find someone in the future what would she do then? Can she handle leaving him behind? He will die and reincarnate in his world while she…leaves. She can't stay in his world as she does not belong there. It is better for her not to love as she would only end up hurt and brokenhearted.
Being alone isn't that bad of an idea either. It's not like she will be completely alone anyway she does have Xiao Wang. It is better than having her heart broken. If she loves someone she will only love that person and no one else. She doesn't have to have her memories to figure that one out.
