Chapter 3: Chapter 2: Marydale
(Ravine POV)
"Bless us, Lord and these thy gifts which we are about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord, Amen!"
We are currently at the dining table of Sister Blanche saying grace and I feel so awkward in the presence of unfamiliar faces around me.
"Now, after supper, Ms. Myrna is going to show you your rooms. Each one of you will have his and her own so there should be no problem with privacy. After that, why don't you all spend time in the living room and get to know each other? Since all of you are Waldorf scholars and you don't know anyone in the university yet, now is the time to make friends so when you attend together, you won't be strangers to each other anymore."
We all nodded in response.
"Also, no partying, the house will have no visitors after nine, my lights are going to be out by 9:30. If you still have to study, that's fine but keep it down. Silence is golden in this house, understood?"
"Yes, sister!"
"Let's eat before our meal gets cold."
With that, everyone began to dig in.

The room that I got is honestly perfect for me. It's not too big, it's not too small, it's just right. I have a study desk with a lamp and right in front of that is my window with a beautiful view of the mountains.
The cabinet is big enough to cater to all of my belongings. I have my own toilet so I wouldn't have to wait in line for my turn outside, nobody does, this is as private as I can get.
Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door.
"Excuse me?" A lady's voice said.
"Yes, Ms. Myrna."
"Your housemates are having tea downstairs, they're waiting for you."
"Coming! Just unpacking here"
Quickly as I can, I unpacked as many stuff as I can and went downstairs to mingle. I wouldn't want to miss that. I don't want to go to Waldorf without knowing anyone.

"Am I the only boy here, Frida?" I asked.
"Apparently!"
"Don't worry, we don't bite." A girl said.
"I'm Jenny." She lent her hand for me to shake. "I'm Ravine, nice to meet you."
"Can I just say you are so pretty?" She said.
"Yeah, I have been wanting to say that since I saw you. I'm Rita." The other one did the same and shook my hand.
I couldn't help but blush at their complements. I definitely do not consider myself pretty. I never even thought about it until they pointed it out.
"He is the prettiest in our hometown." Frida added.
"Frida, stop it."
"Hahaha, you're so cute, I'm Joan." Another one came to me.
"Has anyone ever told you that you look like an anime?"
"Frida here has said it a couple of times." I responded.
"You really do with your blonde hair and green eyes. Just adorable."
"Thank you."
"And your freckles, look at that. I have always wanted to have freckles on my face, I think they look so cute and beautifully placed. It suits you."
That's funny, I have never really felt good about my freckles. I always thought they were kind of annoying and it's just making my face look dirty but now that someone complemented me on it, it made me feel good.
"Thanks!"
"Hi! I'm Frida."
"Jenny, nice to meet you."
Everyone was busy introducing themselves to one another and having a girl talk so I just sat on the couch and had a cup of tea.
"Ravine, come over here. Don't just sit there." Frida said.
"Yeah, don't be shy!" Rita said. I came over and she wrapped her arm around me.
"After all, we are going to be in the same school for four years so there's no need to get all shy and reserved. I just hope we can all be in the same class."
"Having fun, ladies?" Ms. Myrna asked.
"I'm not a lady." I said.
Everyone laughed at my statement.
