Chapter 20: I…Should Treat Her?

He asked, and she parted her lips to speak.

"Well... what you said there was kind of hurtful. I mean, I am trying my best, you see. So I thought, maybe you should take it slightly easy with me too, else I might die or something."

"I am a human, you know, and everyone's body differs. Not everything you can do can I do, nor is it everything I can do that you can do."

She explained, and with a scowl on his face, he flicked her forehead so hard that she hissed in pain.

"Hey-"

"I wasn't being mean to you. It's called training for a reason, you dumb fool."

He scoffed, and Yennefer immediately fluttered her eyes as she felt herself about to vomit again.

"Listen, I am not angry that you vomited on me, so...get that out of your big head."

"Hey, I think I'm about to" She hadn't even finished her sentence when she quickly gripped Luthiel by his arm and vomited heavily on him, leaving him still with a dark expression emerging on his face.

"How. dare. you?!!!!"

His eyes twitched furiously, and before Yennefer could anticipate what would happen next, he grabbed her by the arm and furiously flung her away, sending her flying into the small wooden fence, resulting in her hitting her head on the wood.

"Ouch!!" Yennefer screamed in pain and quickly grabbed the back of her head, only to see that it was bleeding.

"Am-am blee-"

Her words were yet to be completed when she suddenly spurted out a mouthful of blood due to the impact her back had had on the wooden fence.

She quickly raised her head and deep fear crawled up her entire body, seeing Luthiel growling at her with what seemed like killing intent in his eyes.

"Hey hey hey, I am sor-"

Luthiel appeared before her in a blink of an eye and gripped her by the collar of her clothing.

He lifted her into midair and she trembled in his grip.

Her legs dangled as she struggled to free herself, and deep dread reflected in her gray eyes.

That he was going to beat the shit out of her was not even what was scaring her, but the killing intent radiating from him.

It was just too much, to the point that it was making her soul cower in fear.

"Please, I am so sorry. Don't kill me. I beg you."

She began to plead furiously, and before she knew it, tears were streaming down her face.

"Please don't kill me. I can't die like this!!"

She begged and Luthiel, who seemed to have slowly snapped back to his senses, fluttered his eyes and gazed at her face filled with tears.

He took a deep breath, and his frown deepened even more.

"Next time, I won't spare you. You will be dead before you even know it."

He threatened and thinking that he would finally let her down, he scoffed at her and furiously threw her on the floor, causing her to let out a deep groan in pain.

"I will spare you, does not mean I won't hurt you."

He glared and turned around, then began to walk out of the training ground.

Yennefer stared at his disappearing back, and a deep breath of relief exited her nose.

"At least he didn't kill me."

She grunted and got up from the ground.

The blood dripping from her head tainted her clothing and, immediately recalling that her head was bleeding, she proceeded to run.

However, instant dizziness hit her and she ended up blacking out yet again and collapsing to the ground.

Luthiel, who had expected her to follow behind him, halted and turned around, only to see no one behind him.

"Yennefer..." He called her, but immediately became worried when he heard no response from her.

"Yennefer!" He screamed her name and began to rush back to the place where he had left her.

He arrived there and his heart skipped a beat on seeing her lying on the ground, unconscious and bleeding.

"Hey!!" He quickly went down on his knees and hurriedly tore off a piece of his clothing.

How didn't he notice that her head was bleeding? Was he so blinded by rage that he didn't notice that?

He questioned himself and quickly used the piece of clothing to wrap up her head.

He stopped the bleeding a little and carefully lifted her into his arms.

He stood up on his feet and began to hurry back into the castle, a deep look of concern on his face.

He arrived inside the castle and hastily took her to the royal physician, who was an old man whose gray hair was already showing.

"General?" Surprised to see him, the old man, Celvit, gazed at him in confusion, and Luthiel, who didn't have the time to explain, quickly laid Yennefer down on the sick bed.

"Please treat her." He turned to the Celvit, and the Celvit slowly shifted his gaze to Yennefer.

"I... should treat her?"

He asked, and Luthiel nodded at him.

"General... I am sorry to let you know this, but... I cannot treat her. My only son died at her blade and I cannot treat the murderer of my son."

He said and Luthiel, who was immediately angered by this, glanced at Yennefer to see that the clothing he used to band her head was already getting soaked by her blood.

"Treat. Her!" He said to Celvit, but Celvit, who seemed to have made up his mind, shook his head at him.

"I am sorry, General, but I canno-" His whole sentence hadn't even fled his mouth when Luthiel gripped him by the neck, raised him into mid-air, and angrily slammed him against the wall.

"Listen to me, you old man. I don't give a shit about your son! But, if she dies, I will kill you, so you can go see your son in hell."

"And even if I don't kill you, I will make your life a living hell, to the point that you will desire death."

He threatened with rage bubbling in his eyes, and Celvit, who felt like his soul had left his body in deep terror, frantically nodded his head.

"I will treat her! I will treat her!" He furiously agreed, and Luthiel scowled at him before throwing him to the ground with an enraged expression visible on his face.

"I will take my leave now, and when I return here later, I want to see her safe and sound. If not, you will regret it."

He growled and turned around.

He stormed out of the room, and Celvit, who still couldn't calm down as a result of deep dread, breathed heavily.

He slowly stood up from the floor and walked towards the bed where Yennefer was lying.

He looked down at her and serious hate glistened in his eyes.

"I may not be able to kill you this time. But there will be a next time. And when that time comes...I will make sure you die by that same blade you used to kill my son."

His eyes filled with killing intent narrowed into a thin line and he walked towards the table to grab his treatment tools.
