Chapter 23: Trial (2)

Aela and I found ourselves on a small hill that crested over the Sleeping Tree Camp, observing the bandits that idled around the blue fluorescent tree.

Two Giants sat on the outskirts, both female, and currently holding a bandit each in their arms, allowing the bandits to rest between their breasts.

As for the others, most were asleep inside the scattered tents, while three sat around the roaring campfire, chatting as they roasted a deer carcass over the open flame.

"So, the Giants were unexpected, but... mhm, theres twenty bandits in the camp."

I nodded, continuing to look over the camp.

A dozen of the bandits were asleep, two of which were resting with the Giants, three next to the fire, and the remaining five patrolled the area, looking bored as they yawned, looking out into the black night.

"What are you going to do?"

Hearing Aela's whisper, I pursed my lips.

There were too many to just rush in there, especially with two Giants.

However, even if I managed to pick off the five patrolling, the camp was well constructed, each tent placed in an area that could be seen from the center, where the fire was.

I sighed in annoyance, making Aela chuckle.

"Well, to be honest, you were meant to do this alone, but... well, the giants push this from an individual task to one needing an extra hand."

She quietly laid her bow on the grass in front of us, and I mirrored her.

"So, I'll make your trial simple; take care of those five patrollers, and you pass."

I returned my gaze to the camp, memorizing their patterns.

If the center was the fire, then the tents made a crescent moon on the left side, the blue tree on the right. The Giants sat between the tents and tree, their eyes closed as they hugged the bandits.

As for the five patrollers, one was walking around the tree, one outside the tents, another in the grass in front of us, and two were at the 'entrance', which was the beaten path that led towards the main road.

Hmm...

So if I went after the tree one first, and took her out on the opposite side as the Giants...

After taking down the one ahead of us first, of course...

Nodding to myself, I waited for the man standing in the grass ahead of us to complete his circle again, turning to look the other way.

Getting up, I slung the bow over my back and drew the steel dagger, rubbing some dirt on its glittering blade.

Creeping through the tall grass, I carefully made my way towards the man, crawling beside him.

"Go to college, he said. Become a mage, he said. You're smart, he said. Which college was a meant to go to, Pa? Hah..."

I smiled as I heard a variation of one of the bandits idle lines, holding back a chuckle.

Swiftly looking towards the camp, I made sure no one was looking before...

Getting up, I clamped a hand over the mans mouth, swiping the dagger across his throat, laying him on the ground.

I kept my hand over his mouth, watching as the light left his eyes, before looting him.

One down...

Next, I crawled towards the shimmering tree, the woman kicking a rock around.

"Damn brat. Telling me I'm not his mother... all cause I let my sister raise him! I'm the one who pushed him out my cunt, not her! Damnit! Shoulda bought a potion for that... but the pay was so fucking good... hah..."

Wow, bandits were always entertaining, but...

Now I just wanted to talk to this woman...

However, as she approached my spot, I mimicked what I did earlier, slitting her throat and hiding the body in the grass.

Tents and entrance left...

The bandit near the tents was leaning against a post, looking over at the Giants with slight envy.

As for the two at the entrance, they were chatting happily about something, looking at one another instead of the road.

Creeping towards the tents, I avoided the light the fire provided, sticking to the taller grass and shadows.

The two Giants were still asleep, as were the two bandits in their arms.

So, after reaching the standing man, I checked my area as I rose, the dagger in my hand.

There was a small blindspot between two tents that I could use, so I wrapped my arm around the mans neck and pulled, snapping it.

Covering his mouth as he gasped, I laid him on the ground, turning towards my final targets.

How should I do that..?

They were in view of the campfire, but...

I pursed my lips, before looking at the small rock beside me.

Maybe..?

Sneaking towards them, I tossed the rock beside the path, making sure they couldn't see me or the rock.

"What was..?"

"Dunno... I checked the last thing, so you get that."

"Fine. You owe me a tankard of ale though."

"Whatever. Go check it out!"

Sighing, a man in leather armor walked forwards, his hand on his sword hilt.

The other was in iron armor, a giant great sword stuck in the ground beside him.

Leatherman continued ahead, traveling around thirty feet.

Taking the opportunity, I flashed forwards, rapidly dragging the iron clad man into the grass, where I slit his throat.

Drawing my bow, I nocked an arrow and sent it flying towards the other, swiftly killing him as the arrow lodged itself into the back of his skull.

They were both now out of view, so I made my way back to the hill, where Aela was waiting.

"Good job. Slow, but methodical. Now, we have the remaining bandits to deal with. Who first?"

"The ones by the campfire, then the Giants."

"Why?"

Looking over at the pale Huntress, I said "Even with adrenaline, they'll have just woke up. Won't be as fluid as the ones still awake."

"Alright. Well, I'll take the one on the left, you get the right."

We both crouched, laying arrows on our bowstrings before pulling back.

"Ready?"

"Ready."

Taking a breath, I waited for the signal.

"Now."

Our bows let out a dull thunk, the arrows spiraling through the air before embedding themselves into the bandits backs, piercing their hearts.

We both nocked another arrow, skewering the remaining bandit before he could scream.

However, the metal plate he was holding clanged on the ground, awakening the tow Giants.

Remaining on the hill, we started shooting the bandits as they awoke, our arrows raining down on them.

The Giants hefted their clubs, looking around before pointing at us.

"Hill!"

As they lumbered towards us we continued calmly nocking our arrows, aiming for their eyes, wrists, chests, and knees.

If we couldn't kill, we aimed to disable and weaken them.

Which worked like a charm.

One of the Giants fell to her knees, clutching an arrow that pierced her cheek, while the other stumbled to the side, growling in annoyance as she yanked an arrow out of her knee.

The closer she got, the more arrows that peppered her skin, eventually making her collapse to the ground, dead.

Her companion was glaring at us with her remaining eye, only to scream as Aela took the other one.

Keeping an arrow on my bowstring, I scanned the camp, searching for anyone still alive.

{Archery: 24 -> 26}

"See anyone?"

I shook my head, following behind Aela as she got up and stalked towards the camp.

The night fell silent, the only sound be the crackling of the fire.

Entering the camp, we looked around, stepping over the bloodied corpses as we searched the tents.

Taking anything that seemed valuable, I managed to get 987 Septims, a Silver Ingot, a small pouch of assorted gemstones, a few soul gems, and some good wolf and deer pelts.

Rejoining Aela outside, we both looked over the camp, before Aela handed me a note.

'Jilanda, make sure you send that next batch of tree sap to Whiterun; our dealer there has managed to get in contact with someone up high, and is selling the sap at a premium price. Do well, and you'll get a good bonus, and the boss might even consider giving you first pick at the next slave auction.

-Q'

"Seems like we have a problem in Whiterun..."

I nodded, rereading the letter.

Sighing, I folded it back up before handing it to Aela, who put it in her pouch.

"Well, nothing we can do..."

She nodded, before saying "Let's get going."

"Wait..."

Aela looked back at me.

Pointing back at one of the tents, I said "Wanna celebrate..?"

"Are you suggesting we have sex outside?"

Seeing her narrow her eyes at me, I nodded.

She grinned, stepping towards the tent.

"You a futa, Jeleia?"

"Yup."

"Well, since I'm your senior, I get to top. That good with you?"

Entering the tent, Aela tossed off her armor, revealing her thin, sculpted body.

Chiseled abs, modest breasts, gentle curves, and a long cock that throbbed as she stared at me.

Following suit, I undressed, Aela smirking as she moved towards me.

Tossing me onto the bedroll, the Huntress loomed over me, running her hands over my body.

"Y'know, you look more like a fit civilian then a warrior..."

I shrugged, moaning lightly as she groped my breasts.

"Don't mind if I do, then~!"
