Chapter 195: Preposterous

The real Bryson muttered to himself in a daze, though I could hear it as well. He seemed to be as enraptured in his past memories as I was. To be honest, I couldn't really understand why Mr. Nightmare was showing us this. While part of his name was indeed Sunshower, it was more of an ironic thing more than anything else, instead of something actually cheery.

Though before I could think about it any further, the vision dissolved before turning into another one.

This time, they were significantly older, but still kids. Bryson and Jess were together, swinging their swords at separate training dummies. Both of them were doing the same swings, but Jess' landed significantly harder.

With the first hit, Bryson made a mark, while Jess broke off a stub.

The second one, Bryson was able to rip into the dummy, while Jess broke off the head.

Then, with the third hit, Bryson stabbed into it, while Jess directly snapped her dummy in half.
