Chapter 37: Chapter 34
Lizzy, Henry and her dad are waiting anxiously downstairs awaiting her step mum and sister to bring the news to them.
Henry sat on the sofa with his head faced down, shaking it.
Lizzy still sat in the floor unmoving, thinking really deeply. ' what if they find the necklace, no shut up Lizzy you didn't steal anything but on the other hand step mum is really sneaky, what if she is framed or worse would anyone believe her,even her own dad has turn against her'.
Minutes later, step mum and peace came running down the stairs as if they were being chased by a monster. " I found the necklace in the wretch room!!!, I told you she was a thief" step mum screamed.
everyone stood up including Lizzy with disbelief in their eyes "wait .....it's not possible, I didn't steal anything...you are lying" "oh really what will my mother gain by framing you" peace backed up her mum.
Lizzy looked at her dad who had disappointment written all over his face, tears began to drip out of her eyes again, she bowed her down and cried silently ' why her, what had she done to deserve all this'.
Henry just stormed out of the room without saying a word.
"I say we should let her sleep outside in the cold for two weeks as her punishment" "yes I agree" once again peace backed up her mother.
*sighs* her dad just sighed and said " she stole from you so it is you who get to punish her not me" he then walked away with his arms in his pocket.
Lizzy looked at her father's back and wondered who he was ,he wasn't the same father who loved her so much that couldn't even get through the day without seeing her smile.
Her step mum just dragged her and threw her outside on the ground and shut the door. " that will be your punishment and make sure you learn" her step mum shouted at her before shutting the door as she and peace laughed.
Lizzy just sat at the door and cried even more.She hoped that her dad in a few minutes would open the door and let her in but those minutes turned to hours,her eyes were swollen from crying to much as she was freezing.
Her eyes started feeling heavy and everything turned black, she fell asleep. A shadow crept up by herself smiling at her and covered her with a blanket,put a pillow for her and left silently.At least now she was comfortable.
