Chapter 111: Barnyard rendezvous

As the storm clouds continued to grow, Bessie and Dahlia ended up taking refuge in one of the local barns. It wasn't exactly the nicest place, but it was dry and more secure than a tent so they figured that it would be a better place to settle in. Not that it would have changed things, but the barn was also more of a storage building if anything. The animals that once lived here were now down to a single old horse named Jerry, and the rest of the large building held farming equipment and some stored fruit and vegetables.
