Lingyun POV
the class was silent, because Mei and I were the only ones in class.
Other than Lixin and Ruòxī, Mei and I were pretty close and I was glad I had a friend like her. she was sweet, funny, smart and enthusiastic.
"finally peace and quie-" I got cut off when I heard footsteps. I looked up and saw Lixin and Ruòxī.
'oh no, such a misfortune' i thought to myself.
they weren't exactly the brightest when it came to studying.
and they would always pester me with silly questions.
I knew I could be a little bit of a tease but they were even bigger teasers especially when I was around girls.
"wow, it seems like you have another wif-" Ruòxī got cut short by Mei.
"point of correction, we're only friends and nothing more. but I guess someone as dumb as you wouldn't understand" Mei scoffed, placed her book on her desk, opened it and stared at it.
Ruòxī rolled her eyes and said "I wasn't talking to you, Miss four eyes" Ruòxī pushed Mei out of my seat and sat beside me.
well Ruòxī acted rude at times but only when I was around other girls.
maybe she's jealous....? nah, from the looks of things it seems like she would even be able to run away with lixin if their parents disapproved on them being together.
but still, why did she act this way?
"hello, Mr. Lingyun. the great thinker" Ruòxī waved her hands in front of my face and I shoved all my thoughts out of my mind and snapped back to reality.
"Yes?" I stared at her.
"hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, do you wanna chill at home and watchs Netflix with us!!!" Ruòxī said in excitement.
"which movie is it?" I asked.
"boys over flower, eeeeee" she squealed
"pass!" I yawned and rested my head on the desk.
she stopped and stared at me with narrowed eyes "excuse me? what does 'PASS' mean?" she sounded upset and it made me feel bad but I didn't want to be the third wheel, AGAIN.
anytime we hung out they would always do lovely dovey stuff while I would be seated in The middle and have to keep quiet and endure.
once when we were in public, Ruòxī and Lingyun kept buying things and making me hold them. when we were about to leave the cashier greeted both Ruòxī and Lixin but she didn't even care to look at me and she even mistook me for their 'young' butler.
I was getting sick of being the 'THIRD WHEEL'
"come on please" Ruòxī cupped my cheeks and gave me the puppy dog eyes.
I tried to resist but I couldn't so I eventually gave up.
"okay, okay, okay. let go" I held her hands and pulled it away from my face..
"thank youuuuuuuu!!" Ruòxī stood up and skipped away happily with Lixin behind her.
as soon as they were out of sight, i sighed in relief and closed my eyes.
"can't you see that you're the third wheel in their relationship" Mei said sounding disappointed.
all I want is peace and no one wants me to live in peace even for five seconds.
I opened my eyes and took a small peak at her before responding.
"I know, I know, I know, I KNOW!! GEEZ MEI LET ME REST IN PEACE, CAN'T YOU SEE I'M TRYING TO SLEEP?"
I could hear her scoff and walk out of the classroom. right now, I didn't give a f**ck about her or anything.
all I wanted was peace and nothing more.
"LINGYYYYYY!!" I heard a familiar voice squeal.
I opened my eyes and tilted my head towards the person which that awful squeal came from and it was none other than Ai.
oh no, no, no, no.
"WHYYYYYYYYYY???" i cried out.
