Chapter 13: My friend? 1
Nate never expected things to turn like this, though he had wished to meet some of the people who once wronged him in one way or the other. but Kai had never crossed his mind.
though the latter and Mia had made his days in the school quite hard for him.
Here he was just thinking about how good and helpful the inventory stuff could be such that he would not have to worry about where to place his knives and their meat steaks that he and Peter hopefully would eat in the future.
One should know that at first, Nate had been looking for where to pace his knife, and the inventory just solved the problem.
Just now he was just rejoicing, and this just interrupted him.
"Nate, what are you doing protecting a zombie?" Kai could not help but ask.
Nate taking a battle stance faced Kai.
"How dear you try to...." Nate could not even finish what he was about to say when he saw another spear coming toward Peter.

Peter swung his ax at the spear and split it starting from the center of the spear.
At the same time, Nate was not just going to sit down and watch.
[Someone wants to destroy your horde. destroy him instead]
[Reward = grant host more horde member slut]
'I just came out from a battle and they are sending me into another one
'Maybe, the system wants me to get stronger by all means. Luckily for me, I'm now a zombie and I can now fight all day without getting tired' Nate priced before also going all out.
Clenching tight on the handle of the knives, Nate throws them at Kai at a seep that Kai could not react in time, as the knife stabs him on his forehead.
but in the nick of time, something strange also happened.
With the knife coming his way at a speed he could not react to, Kai was left with no choice but to do what he just did.
Right in front of Nate, he could see Kai splitting into two. with one being stabbed to death in his head.
Meanwhile, the other had just made a way to satisfy.
While Nate's mouth was wide open.
"What is that?" Nate was left with questions and confusion.
He had never thought that such a thing would happen in the fight, and that was when he recalled something that Chris had once said to the former host of the body he is in now.
[You should have done this earlier before now, and maybe you might have the chance to win, but though it has not been made known to the public, they are now a group of evolutionary people. people who are stronger than average, human beings, and I am one of them]
"You are one of them" Nate was still shaken and for a moment he thought twice about engaging in a fight with Kai now.
"Now you know"
"Seriously, I don't understand you, Nate, why are you saving the zombie?" Kai asked to be ready to strike Peter at any time.
Meanwhile, Nate was also set to stick.
Since he discovered that Kai is one of the awakened, Nate did not dare to act recklessly.
He has to play his cards well.
Soon, Kai threw out another spear Nate did not know where exactly Kai was bringing those things out.
Nate at the same time sent out two knives at the spear. but for some reason, even though the knives seemed to get closer to the spear, they were not able to get the spear.
At this point, Nate was relying on Peter to be able to fend for himself.
but what appeared in his interface made him burst out into a rage.
[-30%HP]
It happened that Peter was not able to swing his ax as he did before as the spear stabbed into his gut.
Kai was about to do something else, but Nate beat him to that.
Nate started to wave the wires around, in front of him, and Peter. as another spear was sent toward them.
but on reaching the wire, the spear would hit it, almost sending it back at Kai.
Kai jumped up on seeing the spear being sent back to him.
Meanwhile, Nate had seen this opportunity and swung the wire down at Kai.
Kai also felt like he had made a mistake, and created another clone of himself, running off to the side, just to look at himself he was sliced into two by the wire coupled with the knives.
Nate never believed that Kai was dead because he could still pass the smell of life and blood.
"Wait, Nate. Why are we fighting?" Kai asked as he did not know why Nate was attacking him.
"That is my brother you just stabbed with that spear. If you didn't block the way, you would have killed him," Nate shouted, as he was getting ready to attack.
Meanwhile, Kai was left with a confused face.
'What does he mean by killing his brother? ' Kai thought and took a closer look at the zombie.
'It indeed Peter ' Kai realized this.
but this did not solve the problem, instead, it made it worse.
Seeing this, Kai was kind of eager to get rid of the zombie.
'None of the people I know well stay in such a state and I will leave then' he thought as he really got to attack again.
"Nate it's useless, he is already dead, Just kill him before he gets you infected" Kai shouted.
"Why do you sound like you care?"
"I suffered a lot on your hands, and now you act like you care," Nate shouted back.
There are certain things Nate could not get rid of in his mind. Someone like his father is an example.
Currently, there is no way Chris would beg Nate to forgive him so that the latter would do so. And people like Kai are one of them.
"I don't know what you are talking about, I thought we were friends?" Kai muttered, but what he did not know was that Nate heard what he said loud and clear.
"Friends...?" Nate could not wrap his mind around the case.
Just then, he felt a familiar headache that always reminded him of his first time starting the game.
Slowly, Nate's consciousness starts to drift into the abyss hole.
"Nonononono.....!" Nate panicked.
"Non in a fight" Nate complained.
but what he just saw made him speechless.
"What is going on here?".
Right in front of him are him and Kai with one other person that has his face blurred.
'Don't tell me that he is truly my friend Nate seems to be in a daze on what to do.
' and so what, this is a golden opportunity for me to beat them the hell out of him, and his family would not get involved '
'What a nice game'.
Once again, Nate thought that all this thing happening was a graphic designer.
