Chapter 4: /4/: Questions
"My lord?" Arthur heard someone speak behind him and he reflect to pulled out his sword and luckily Arthur could recognize that it was his guard and he could stop his sword from swing to his head. If he didn't recognize it, Arthur would send him to heaven. The tip of the sword stopped right in front of his head and the guard was trembling when saw Arthur with cold face and deadly eyes. He stamped and fall down because of it.
"Oh, gosh I'm sorry. Why you surprise me like that? Jezz…" He putted back his sword, "I'm so sorry, come here." Arthur gave him his hand to help the guard stood up again.
"If I didn't recognize you, my sword would slice your head in two." He giggled to calm down the tension there but it felt like the guard didn't enjoy it.
"So, w-what make you go up here my lord?" There's still fear in his words.
"I just want to check up something? By the way, come here." Arthur showed him the blood in the floor, "Do you know anything about it?"
"Blood!?" the guard seemed to surprise because he didn't know anything about it. Arthur saw his reaction and tried to seek the information deeper and deeper again. 'He doesn't know huh? So, what happened in this guard post? I should ask him few questions before goes all the way down there.'

"You don't know anything about this?" Arthur asked once again to see his natural expression. He knew that the reaction was the only thing that you can trust besides the answer. He could know if there's something happening there. He didn't want to betrayed by his own guard.
The guard looked at Arthur again, "N-no, my lord! I really don't know what is this…" he trembled again and his hands is shaking. Then he tried to find out more about the blood by looking down the wall. 'It maybe not him Arthur…' He tried to make himself calm by saying that words. 'But again, who did this?'
"Alright, now try to find all the guards and give me the name who's on duty today. Then report me who's missing here today." Arthur gave him command to make sure what the hell's going on in the Reverie's land.
"Yes, sir." He answered then run away to fulfill his lord command.
"Now, let's see what's down there.' Arthur grabbed his torch again and his hand ready in his sword because he didn't know what would happen in the future. He walked down the stairs and move right away to the gate. There's two people guarded the gate and they questioned why Arthur walked all the way down to the wall. 'Two people here, okay nothing strange here.'
"Open the gate, I wanted to check up something." He gave a command than walked to the other side of the wall. It was really dark in the midnight with his body freezing because of the winter but Arthur should answer the question in his head.
When he arrived, he looked carefully and there's a blood stain in the wall all the way down. The blood stain ended right away under his foot and Arthur looked around him there's no more blood there. There's nobody and nothing except snow and bushes, 'What's this? There's nothing here… someone must've moved the body or that person walked alive.' But Arthur didn't think that someone could possibly alive after fall from 26 feet tall and lose that much of blood. 'Whoever that person only God that can help,' He stunned because there's nothing down there and he couldn't find anything but his curiousness. He also couldn't find more than there because the snow came so much than before and there's a sign of storm that day. He could only find out tomorrow. 'Now, at least I'll know if someone missing from the troops here.' He walked to asked the people who guard Maria wall.

Move backwards right after three of them separate, Johnathan tried to find Maximus and Kenric with the arrow in his hand. His eyes are sharp just like his sword, he didn't let any chance if there's arrows fly towards his head. He also didn't believe the attackers moved away from the territory.
John moved to Kenric house but there's no one there. His heartbeat moved faster than usual because he worried about those two, 'Where the hell are they!? I hope they don't get attacked or anything bad happen to them.' He also worried because Maximus was drunk that's why Kenric helped him back to his place. He knew that it would hard for Kenric to fight if he carried drunk person.
He left the house and moved straight away to Maximus house. 'You guys better be there when I come because I don't want to find your dead body.' Johnathan walked through the snow and there's no more light because people are asleep and the street was dark, he should pay attention to everything if he wanted to get to Maximus house alive.
Johnathan kept walking until finally he could saw Maximus house. 'Okay there it is. You guys better inside that damn house!!!' His heartbeat move faster again, so many thought appear in his head. Worry, fear, and so many other feelings mixed in his heart while Johnathan finally could reach the door and tried to opened it.
"Stop!!!" the door wasn't even fully open but he heard Kenric shouted to him.
"Who's there?" Kenric asked because he couldn't see with the door only half open.
"It's me Johnathan, what's going on here?" he couldn't figure it out what happened.
Kenric sighed, "Oh God it's just you. Just open it but don't step forward,"
"Why?"
"Just do what I say right now!" Kenric raised his tone.
Johnathan couldn't do anything but follow what he said. He opened the door and there's Kenric with Maximus behind him holding his axe. He shocked and couldn't figure what happen but Johnathan stood silently and waited for Kenric to explain everything.
"I know you have a lot of question about this situation right now," Kenric started the conversation. He didn't want to make Johnathan confused more than it was. "Just keep calm and do what I said," Johnathan nodded his head then Kenric continued, "Looked down, and you'll see there's a line,"
He looked down and below him there's a line and it barely could see with eyes if John wasn't pay attention to it. It transparent and he could step into it. "Now, that isn't just line. It contains magic spell and if someone stamped it, there would be explosion and it will kill us all."
"What the fuck!!?" Johnathan couldn't believe what he just heard. It just few inches from his feet and if he stepped forward, it would trigger the explosion and Kenric said it would kill them and people around them. "Really?" he still couldn't believe it.
Kenric smiled, "The next step, jump over here but make sure your feet won't touch that thing even just one inch closer!" Johnathan felt the pressure and he thought about it for a second. There's still hesitation left in his heart but Kenric convinced him again, "Close the door slowly, and jump over here. As long as you do what I said, we'll be fine."
Johnathan still silent but he moved carefully, he shut the door slowly then the next step was the tricky one because he couldn't have more space to took the preparation. The sweat dripped down from his head even though there's winter outside but somehow the room felt so hot for him. 'Okay Jhon, just calm and do it!!' He took a little step backwards than jumped right over the line with his rope just one inches close from the line.
"Easy Johnn!!" Kenric shouted but Johnathan already jumped and landed right in front of Kenric face. John looked back and they were stunned to make sure there's nothing happen. "Shit that was the close one," Johnathan sighed and glad there's nothing happened. He looked to Kenric, "What the hell was that??!!"
Maximus and Kenric only giggled because they looked at Johnathan panicked face. "Calm down, just thank yourself because you didn't touch it."
"But what is it? You better not joking right now!" Johnathan raised his voice because he lost his temper at that moment.
"Yes, yes, yes…someone put that damn trap in Max house. But luckily, I'm the one who took him here. They forget if I'm a magician, but I know that won't expect that I will come with him tonight. What a bad luck for them?"
"Do you know who did this?" Johnathan asked with his heartbeat tried back to the normal.
"Nope, that's why we waited until someone show up around this block. Then I'll hunt whoever put this in my house and throw this axe towards their head." Maximus spoke with an anger in his voice.
"For your information John, that wasn't a regular spell. It took a lot of experience for magician to did that spell. Whoever they are…" Kenric stopped and being serious, "They have grandmaster magician just like me on their side,"
