Getting up, I looked at the time to see it was already 7:55.
I went to go wash up and change my clothes. After getting ready, I went downstairs to go and get breakfast.
Sitting down on the couch in the lounge a small time later, I opened my phone and saw that there was a message from Pearl.
I jumped up in shock after reading it. Running to the door, I hurriedly grabbed my keys and went to the car.
Driving all the way to Arthur's company, I got off the car after parking it in the garage.
I quickly ran past the reception table to the elevator and hopped on just as the door was about to close.
Getting off the floor to Arthur's office, I ran to the door and opened it.
Pearl was sitting at the table with her back to me and Arthur was sitting in front of her with a grim expression on his face.
[Shit.] was the only thought that crossed my mind at that very moment.
