Chapter 10: Chapter 9
Sarah said," I am also running away from that magical world because of those bloody death eaters."
Severus raised his eyebrows and asked," looks like you also have a story huh?"
Sarah sighed and said," My mother belonged to a prominent magic family in Korea and my father was a normal Italian wizard because my mother fell in love with my father, her family disowned her and they started to live here in Italy. During the war, the dark wizards wanted my mother and me as child factories because we have slightly mixed blood of Pheonix in our blood, and both of them died protecting me so since then my grandparents took care of me."
Sarah was crying at the end of the story and Severus hugged her and start patting her head. He was not liking the fact she was crying, she was his first and best friend in this muggle world and she has a very special place in his heart, of course, he won't admit it.
After some time both of them separated and Severus looked at them for a sec before giving a self-mocking smile and said," you both shared your past with me then I should also share mine."
Severus told them about his past and both of them were stunned hearing about his past. Sarah and Maya said in unison," I won't leave you like her ever."
Severus heard it and laughed and took out a picture of his old self and showed them," This is the old me."
He showed them the picture and both girls first looked at the picture than him and said," No way dude."
Severus nodded while shrugging his shoulders and Maya said," Guys I told Severus that my parents sold me but I didn't tell you much about me, I am Maya Hellqvist and I am from a wizarding school called "Durmstrang" and rest all history you already know."
Severus nodded in understanding and said," Guys, I don't know what the future holds for us but I know the path I will have to walk on is full of darkness and hatred but I will not stop until my name and the places where I set my foot on shine like stars in the darkness of this world." Severus said with determination in his voice and eyes.
Both Sarah and Maya looked at him with smiles Severus forward his right fist and Sarah also touched it with her fist, Maya hesitate but still do the same. Maya was happy to find a home where people see her as human, not as a tool for negotiation. (An:/ I know she (Maya) becomes friends way too fast with and knows about their past even faster than that but it is looking good just like that, so why not.)
Flashback ends
Present pov
Maya cut the call and started doing her work. Severus also went back to work and started practicing his rune magic.
After a month of hard work and big blasts, he was able to engrave safety runes that will protect both of them from the spell-like unforgivable curses and block anyone from reading their minds and also detoxify any harmful effect of potions on them.
He knew that he was going overboard while making them, many times he fall unconscious because of mana deficiency even with his large reserve which is equal to that of a head of house at Hogwarts but it's for his family and his Family must be protected no matter what.
Severus cleaned the beads of sweat on his forehead and exhale while relaxing his body Nano said," Congratulations, you have reached the intermediate level of Advance rune crafting in such a short time which is a feat that even Merlin will not be able to achieve."
Severus nodded in satisfaction and left his rune room. He comes to the living room and found Sarah painting something on canvas as she had free time today so he arranged everything required for painting here so that she can paint without any problem, while Maya was looking through the papers as the demand for medicine was all over the world and keeps rising.
Why not the reason behind most humans dying, other than by the hands of humans is mosquitoes, and dengue was the most common one because of the unavailability of a specific medicine for it.
Maya has to work by drinking a potion that makes her look 21 years old, and Severus feels bad about it because he thinks he took away her childhood from her but sighed after thinking,' Somethings are meant to be the way they are.'
Maya also didn't complain as she likes her work and is happy with her life, Severus also takes care of her, and she has control of her life so indirectly she is living her dream life right now.
Severus slightly coughed gaining the attention of both and gestured them to come close to him.
Both girls come to him and he said," Look I know we have left behind the wizarding world but I still have some connections with that place and they are connections that I am not willing to give up that's why maybe sometime in the future we will have to go there and I don't want to take any risk in both of your safety so I prepared these for you."
He showed them two rings, one with a Pheonix design and the other with a wolf design.

He put the Pheonix ring on Sarah's finger and Wolf's one on Maya's finger. He said," These will protect you from any harm that will come upon you and also remove traces of your magic."
Both girls looked at him stunned and their eyes were filled with tears Severus asked shocked," What happened?"
Both said in unison," Nothing" and hugged him before going back to their work.
Back in London
Hogwarts was going on as usual and no one missed the Slytherin potion genius but inside the headmaster's office some Dumbledor's trusted teacher with dumbledore were checking all the reports on Severus's search but nothing was found.
Everyone in the office was silent and they didn't find anything about Severus seeing that everyone was giving so much importance to someone he looked down upon, James
exclaimed," Why are we even searching for that pathetic excuse use of men? We can just use the knowledge of the future and stop all the plans of that dark lord."
Everyone looked at him with
confusion and frown, Harry supported his father and also said," Yeah, we should think of alternatives instead of wasting time."
Hermione said," We don't have full knowledge of these times, and we can't just take steps on half knowledge because if something bad happens we will be in big trouble. The future is constantly changing and god knows what else will change if we just act rashly."
Ron exclaimed," But we can't just keep sitting still and doing nothing other than just searching for someone who run away with his tail between his legs because of fearing the unknown."
Hermione said," it's not like that Ron, everyone in this room knows what happened to him and anyone will want a new start instead of living among people who give bullying or showing their superiority to others just because they were born in a wealthy family a name of pranking someone."
Everyone in the room instantly becomes silent, they all looked at Hermione with surprise. Harry tried to say something but Hermione beat him to that and said," What? everyone feels surprised, we all know what they have been doing in school but neither the Headmaster nor any head of the house or teacher punished them just because Sirius is a Black and James is the son of the headmaster's friend and someone important to light side and now I think about why would Professor Snape will help us he doesn't have a reason to do that."
After saying this she stormed out of the office and all teachers who were there looked at the ground with shame. She was right they were the reason for ruining the life of a student.
This was the biggest shame of their lives and everyone just give Dumbledore a glance full of disappointment before leaving the office.
