Chapter 4: Chapter 4 : how It All Started
When I was crying, I accidentally hit the vase on the table that made a loud noise.
A sudden silence broke in the house, mom and dad turned around to look at me, they were stunned to see me there.
"Lily, dear what are you doing there?"
Dad said to me with a fake smile on his face. I walked in slowly, I was sad to talk about myself after seeing him that worried, so as usual I kept silent,
"i know you have been struggling to know the truth" he said
Mom stared at him, and nodded her head telling him not to say anything to me.
But he decided to tell me everything. I sat still listening to everything and not saying a word.
"You know your nightmare are not just normal nightmares,they are all real"
Suddenly I got inpatient and cried "what happened 10 years ago dad"
He looked at me for a few seconds and then told me the whole story.
It was a Sunday morning,
" Knock knock" someone knocked at the door, dad was playing with me and Niall upstairs. So mom went to open the door "who's there"
Mr Paul replied, "it's me, Mrs Steve". mom quickly opened the door as it was her husband's childhood best friend.
Mom happily called him in, "Steve Steve look mr Paul is here"
Hearing his best friend's name he quickly rushed down.
"hey buddy, what brought you here after so long" dad asked while loughing with his friend.
But Mr Paul's expressions changed all of a sudden, he dropped his smile, and put his hand on dad's shoulder,
"I need your help" that was the first thing he said to dad. The environment suddenly changed from happy to intense.
Dad took him to the drawing-room, and ask him the matter.
"our house is in deap trouble, and I need your help" Mr Paul started to tell him the situation.
A few days ago me and my wife decided to have a walk outside, as it was a windy night,we walked to a Cafe to get ourselves hot coffee. When I was paying for the coffee my wife saw a small box under a tree, a bit far from me. It was dark but the box was shining and attractive. So she walked towards the tree and took it. "oh what a pity someone dropped this pretty box, look Paul it's new. Can I take it with me" she asked me.
I nodded to her,"sure".
When we were walking back home, she was constantly staring at that box.
"what bothering you"? I asked her, as I was concerned.
She replied "I'm trying to figure out how to open it, it's locked".
I told her that I'll open it for her, once we'll reach home. So I did, I told her to her to give me the box and took out my tools. It was quite shocking that the box was pretty small but the lock was extremely strong. I put all my efforts to open it in every way possible. It took me hours but I didn't quit, and finally it worked the look was opened. I gave the box to my wife to open. She seemed curious and happy at the same time. And opened it, but when she did something strange happened. It was for seconds but it shaked everything.
