Chapter 12: Ashley is backkk
Eric was sitting on the bed while drying his hair with a towel and Hazel and Jack were sitting near him.
"Take it out, I'm not hungry," Eric said while looking at the bowl of noodles brought by them.
"Have some, dad has put two eggs in it,"Hazel said while making puppy eyes.
"I have brushed my teeth, I won't eat," Eric said.
"Your mother-" Jack was about to say something when Hazel pinched him, making him silent.
"I met aunt Ashley," Jack said and Hazel again pinched him harder.
"Why can't I say it?" Jack shout,
Hazel looked at Eric who was still calm.
"His mother left him after divorce, and what about mine? my mom also left me alone," Jack said with an angry face.
"It's just unnecessary to talk about it, I don't want to hear it," Eric said.
"Yes...." Hazel replied while nodding.
"Yes what? listen maybe one day she will force you to live with her," Jack looked at Hazel.
"Just leave her, don't talk about her, I'm not liking it," Eric said.
"He's right, we sh-," Hazel was saying something when she felt pain in her tooth.
They both looked at her,
"Toothache again?" Jack asked.
"Wait, let me see," Eric said and pulled out a torch light from the drawer and started looking in her mouth with light.
"No tooth decayed tooth, maybe because the opsgenie are inflamed," Eric said while putting the torch back into the drawer.
"How do you know it? you are an inferior doctor, let me see," Jack asked while holding her mouth to see it.
Hazel hit him in disgust.
"Read more books you idiot, ask dad Henry to find you medicines and also brushed your teeth thoroughly," Eric said while looking at Hazel.
"Okay," Hazel said while looking down.
"Okay now, go back, I'm going to bed," Eric said.
"Yeah, let's go," Jack said while standing up from the chair.
"No!!!!!" Hazel said and jumped on Eric's bed and covered herself in the blanket.
"Unless, you eat those eggs," Hazel said while looking at Eric.
Eric immediately get up from the bed and shouted, "Hazel, get out of my bed!!!!"
"No, I will not go until you eat," Hazel said and hide her face in the blanket.
"Come on young master, your food," Jack said while giving him the bowl.
Eric grabbed it and started eating the food, Hazel smelled the blanket,
"Brother, your smell is on blanket, so fragrant," Hazel said, while Eric was about to throw out, then immediately get up and grabbed her up from his bed.
"How many times I've told you not to get on Jack's and bed, remember??" He angrily said.
"Why are you so stingy?" Hazel said while hitting him.
"Next time if you do it, I will beat you," he again shout.
"FINE!!!!" Hazel said while hitting him with her toe.
"Any money on your bed? Insane!" Hazel said and started walking outside, then stop and turned around and come back, picked up the bowl and said,
"Starved to death," she said and left.
"Why did you drag her? she's still a little girl," Jack said.
"She's already 16," Eric replied.
"Fine, Good night," Jack said and left.
Next Day,
Julia and her mother were going somewhere, when her mother called someone,
"Thanks, Thank you so much, I'll treat you dinner when convenient," and hung up.
"I've got only one day off for weekend, and I have home work to do," Julia said.
"I get you in this math class by using my connections, the students of this teacher went to international university last year, you need some help with your math, you got a major question wrong," Her mother said, while driving and looking on the road.
"My math teacher gave it us by accident, that was the question for seniors," Julia said.
"Yet Yejie get full score, you should make friends with good kids like Yeji, don't hang out with Hazel," her mother said with an irritated face.
"I do discuss with Yejie," Julia said with a sad face.
"Good girl, by the way, what do you want for your birthday? do you want me to send you a camera?" Jane asked with a smile.
"Really??" Julia asked excitedly.
"Yes, but I have one condition, in the next exam, you have to do better then Yejie," her mother said causing the excitement on her face faded away.
Jack was playing basketball with his friends, Hazel and Julia were watching him, Hazel was busy in making something on the page, while Julia was just looking at him.
"Hey, the one who look like a chimpanzee, is brother Jack's friend.
"Which one? every one apart from him looks like a chimpanzee," Julia said while looking at him.
"The closet one, Kevin," Hazel replied.
The match ended, Jack come to them and sat beside them, Julia gave him a water bottle whil Hazel show him her drawing.
"What's this? Is it me?" Jack asked while grabbing the diary from her.
"Open it," Jack said to Hazel while giving him the water bottle.
"But it's so ugly," Jack said while looking at the picture.
"How stinky you are!" Hazel said and stood up.
"Wait, I am stinky?" Jack said and wiped his sweat with her jacket placed beside him.
"Yah, brother Jack, now take it and wash it," she said while giving the jacket to him.
Julia was looking at them while smiling.
"You want me to wash your clothes? no way," Jack said and they all left to their classes.
Eric was distributing the papers to the class, when a teacher arrived,
"Eric, someone wants to meet you," the teacher said.
"Please hand out these for me," Eric said to the vice president of class and left.
As he come outside, he saw Ashley was standing there, he looked at her and then lost in the past, while thinking how rudely she used to behave, hoe harsh his pat was due to her mother, for about five minutes they kept on staring each other.
Jack was coming from the corridor with the football in his hand, he looked at them from behind and stood there for a while then left.
Ashley asked Eric that she wants to talk, so they went to a cafe.
Eric was looking down while sitting in front of her and Ashley was looking at him with a bright smile,
"When I left, you were so tiny, now look at you, you've grown up," Ashley spoke up.
I'm settled in America and get married again," she said.
"I know, grandma has told me already," Eric said while looking down.
"Oh, then you must known about your little new sister," she said while smiling.
"Her name is Rose, she wants to meet her big brother," Ashley said.
"What for? I don't even know her," Eric said while looking at her.
"But you have the same mom, the same blood, you're family," Ashley said with a smile of hope.
Eric looked outside the window and said, "Is this what you came for? Excuse me," he said and stood up and started walking outside, when Ashley spoke up,
"I heard that your dad is still always caught up with work, he's still single, he mostly leaves you at Henry's place, Is he good to you? your dad must have paid him," Ashley said in a soft tone.
"Dad Henry doesn't care about money," Eric said in a cold tone, while coming back.
"That's not what I meant," Ashley said while looking down.
"Look, if you feel uncomfortable, upset or under the weather, you can share it with your grandmother," Ashley said.
"That's just your speculation, Dad Henry treats me like his own son, I treat him as my real father, I'll take care of him when he became old, you have got your family, and I have got mine, I don't know why you come back and judge my family," Eric shout, then after a while calm himself,
"Didn't you gave me to Hazel?" he calmly said.
"I am sorry, it was my fault, but I really had no choice, back then, I couldn't even take care of myself, if I made you stay with me, I worried that you would be hurt even more, I really miss you," Ashley started crying.
Eric looked down then outside, as he looked outside, he saw Hazel and Jack were standing outside while looking at them.
