Chapter 3: Becoming a Lawyer
"In the end, extraordinary items are just that, items."
"Only the power that I can always possess is something tat I can truly trust.", Alexander sighed and focused on the [Sell] button.
Instantly, the silver gun turned into a silver mist, before rushing towards Alexander and plunging into his body.
Simultaneously, the remaining FP on his simulation window increased by 180.
Alexander was not surprised by the changes, but promptly opened the simulation window, before choosing the third option, the ingredients needed for the Lawyer potion.
Although he wouldn't choose to follow this pathway if he had the option ,there currently was no other choice for him, unless he was willing to risk his own life in the real world.
Just as he chose the third option, silver mist appeared in front of him, before turning into various Beyonder materials.
Picking them up and walking towards the basement, even though Alexander didn't have the Lawyer potion formula, he could still configure it since he had all the ingredients.
Putting the ingredients inside a metal bucket, Alexander was 90% sure that this should be the Lawyer potion.
Having no other choice though, he decided to drink it.
Just as he felt the potion pass through his throat, countless rumblings sounded on his mind.
At the same time, black symbols started to appear in his vision.
Even so, Alexander had expected something like this to happen and never lost his focus.
Half a minute later, both the rumblings and the symbols disappeared and Alexander felt that he had been promoted.
Feeling the changes in his body, Alexander put his focus on the abilities he acquired during his promotion.
The Lawyer potion gave him two abilities.
First of all, it made it easier to find and take advantage of loopholes within laws and rules, as well as find the weakness of his enemies.
Additionally, the potion gave him better eloquence and persuasion skills, making it easier to manipulate people.
Finally, Alexander took a look at his simulator window.

Seeing the increase of the simulation cost, Alexander wasn't shocked as he had already expected it.
"I can simulate one more time with my current FP, but it isn't worth it."
Since he could only simulate one time, Alexander decided to wait for some time.
For the next days, Alexander continued attending law school and his past self's normal life.
A week later, Alexander found himself sitting in the office of his house once again.
One thing to note was that the first day after he awakened, he noticed that the FP had increased by 5.
This increase continued every single day, making him believe that he would get a passive increase of 5 FP per day.
Deciding to conduct another simulation, Alexander pulled up the simulator window, before pressing the [Simulate] button.
[Simulation starting...]
[A week after your awakening, you have already managed to become a Sequence 9 Lawyer.]
[Having found the gun of your father, you guess that he should have some connections with the Beyonders of the MI9.]
[You decide to look further into it, hoping to become a member of MI9.]
[A week later, you get into contact with your father's friend and learn that he is a Team Leader in MI9.]
[You ask to join, explaining that your father only left you a Sequence 9 formula before his death.]
[Your reason convinced him and due to his friendship with your father, he decides to recruit you.]
[For the next 3 weeks you only get to practice shooting and espionage.]
[You notice that your digestion of the Lawyer potion is painfully slow compared to someone like Klein.]
[You attribute it to the fact that your circumstances don't allow you to act as a lawyer.]
[It has been more than a month since your awakening and today is the time for Klein to descend.]
[Secretely, you hope to become part of the Tarot Club, only to end up disappointed when the entire day passes and you have not been pulled in the Origin Castle.]
[Simulation ends...]
[Choose one of the following options:]
[1. 10% digestion of the Laywer potion. Cost: 25 FP]
[2. Shooting and espionage experience. Cost: 10 FP]
Then reason that Alexander had waited till now to simulate again was so that he could judge whether he would become part of the Tarot Club.
Moreover, this time, Alexander had thought about MI9 before starting the simulation.
"With this and my past simulations, I can be sure that MI9 doesn't trust me enough support me as a Beyonder.", Alexander analyzed.
"No matter what, it's certain that I won't become part of the Tarot Club."
"Most importantly, I can actually digest my potion through simulations.", Alexander said and turned his sight towards the first option, before immediately clicking it.
Instantly, a wave of relief passed through his whole body and when he examined himself, he could judge that his digestion had been increased by about 10%.
No wonder 'he' in the simulation was dissatisfied with his digestion.
The only time he was actually acting was when he was attending his law school classes.
If he kept digesting the potion at the same rate, he would need about 10 months.
By that time, Klein would have already become strong enough to crush him.
If there was a game menu in front of him, Alexander guessed that the MI9 option would be greyed out.
There is no way he is going to join an organization that won't even support him when he is just a Sequence 9.
Opening the simulator window and looking at the remaining FP, he felt his heart ache.
"If I want to simulate further, I need to enter the Beyonder world and acquire more extraordinary characteristics.", he thought.
"As long as I don't try to purchase them in bulk, there is no risk to buy one or two characteristics."
Luckily, today was the day when Mr. A's gathering was taking place.
