Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Bloom

Lake watched as the Skylark screamed in pain through the monitor. 

A few minutes ago he finished the repairs according to the system's instructions and was led to this white lab room. 

Once he was inside, the system initiated a program resulting in an energy wave being sent out from the Golden White Tree. 

Every creature in the Garden that came into contact with the wave was currently experiencing a skull splitting headache caused by the system. 

Lake had a guess as to what was happening based on the small hints he had received from the system.

"What was that wave?" Lake tried asking the system to confirm his suspicions. To his surprise, it seemed that the system was more willing to answer his questions now that he had finished the repairs.

"That was the control wave, it's used to activate the control system planted inside the genes of the Garden's creatures." 

Hearing the system's reply, Lake knew he had guessed correctly.
