Chapter 17: Lift broke down.
"I said you need medical treatment can't you hear",she shouted to get his attention.He gave her a cold look and then again moved his sight away making her confuse."He is an alien I'm damn sure,how fast he changes his personalities,from cute to sarcastic",she in her thoughts.
Roby opened the door for Ana she sat and after wearing seat belt she sighed.Roby started driving he noticed that she wasn't feeling good because of the incident so he stopped the car in front of an ice cream bar and bought double chocolate layer Ice creams for her and and bought one for himself.Came back in the car and handed her the ice cream.After seeing ice cream her mood lightened up and said,"this my favorite",he smiled politely.
"Can I have a bite from yours please",she asked while blinking her eyes,her cute behavior was melting him."yes you can",he said and she took a bite from his cup and gave him a smile.All of a sudden he got a phone call from Mr Chang,"I want you and your teammates at my place at sharp 8 o'clock,don't be late I'll let you know the purpose when you will be here",he said and disconnected the call.
"Weird",Roby.He told her the situation and then called Zen and informed him about it.
Zen took a u-turn and changed the destination without telling her.She was telling him that it us necessary to treat his wound. Zen was not responding to her so she stopped requesting him and sat quietly with an arrogant face expressions.He stopped the car the place was familiar but wasn't Jennifer's hostel.It was the building where Zen and Roby lives."Why you've stopped it here this is not the place where you supposed to drop me",she said with a cold face.
He didn't responded and moved the car in parking.After parking it,"Come out",he said she gave him a confused look and replied,"No I wouldn't","you'll regret saying no to me",Zen.
"I'll never",Jennifer said and moved her sight towards the opposite direction.He sighed and lifted her in his arms making her feel weird,confused and blush at the same time."wh-what are you doing,stop",she requested.
He didn't replied and started walking towards the lift.She was continuously requesting him to leave her but no response was received. Finally the lift came and then he moved inside the lift."Hey please stop I'm scared of lifts",she said in a cracking voice while hiding her face in his chest.He felt that she was actually scared so he released her from his arms.She stood properly but her face turned pale.
She was truly scared of lifts and they had to go on 15th floor.Her hands started shivering Zen noticed her and held her hands."Don't worry nothing wrong gonna happen I'm here okay",he tried to comfort her.She just nodded as yes but no comfort was shown on her face.Zen was regretting taking her in the lift.Suddenly the lift broke down and the lights turned off.
Jennifer held his hand more strongly and her heart beat fastened.Zen turned on his phones flashlight,"Calm down,I'm here with you",he said and called emergency number and informed them about the whole situation.They told him that it will take time so don't panic.Phone call disconnected.
Jennifer got a panic attack and started breathing heavily Zen was confused that what to do in this situation.He pulled her closer and hugged her.She wrapped her arms around his back with full energy and closed her eye's.Still she was breathing heavily."Sheshh,you're safe until I'm here with you okay,take a long breath you'll feel better",he said and pecked her forehead.
Her heart rate came to its normal point,she was feeling comfort in his arms.After a few minutes some of the mechanics came and started working.The lights came back and lift started working.She was so lost in his embrace,she didn't even realized that all of the things are okay now.
He smiled at the situation and coughed to get her attention,"Miss Jennifer now everything is alright but still if you wanna stay like this so I don't have any problem",he whispered near her ear.His deep voice gave her goosebumps and she detached herself from him which made him smile.
The lift door opened and came out of the lift.He walked towards his apartment,she increased the speed of her footsteps and held Zen's hand,"wait why we are here?",she asked,he turned back and faced her."Roby and Ana are coming here because Mr Chang want to see us at his place so we have to go there together,Roby told me to bring you here he'll be here with Ana soon",he replied and opened the door.
"Welcome",He said warmly and she followed him."what would you like to have coffee,tea,cold drink?",Zen."Nothing,just a glass of water",she replied and asked him for bathroom.He guided her and she went to the bathroom.He went to the kitchen she came back and found no one there.She heard a harsh voice she followed the voice and entered in the kitchen saw Zen's hand bleeding because the glass broke in his hand.
She ran towards him and held his hand seeing blood she got panicked, and said"you idiot can't you see","I'm oka-",he was about to say she cut him off,"now just shut up and let me treat it right now,(pointed towards the chair)sit here and tell me where is the first aid kit"Jennifer.He denied sitting there and told her that he'll do it by himself,"why you're so stubborn",she said aggressively, held his hand strongly and made him sit on the chair,"sit here or be ready for a punch",Jennifer.
She came outside the kitchen and found the first aid kit in the TV lounge's cupboard.She came back and found him pouring water over his wound.She stepped forward and grabbed his hand made him sit on the chair but this time she sat on his lap and held his hand left him speechless."what-what are you doing!",he asked while blushing.
"keep quiet and let me do my work properly",she replied while treating his wound with full concentration.As she touched it hard a little hiss came out of his mouth,"I-I'm sorry,I'll be careful",her words made him smile and he forgot all of his pain.She was this close to him her back was touching his chest,her beautiful scent was comforting him itself.
After applying bandage she stood up and said,"done,now don't be stubborn,what were you doing before?",mentally slapping himself he came out of his thoughts and replied,"I was trying to make fresh juice for you as you're a guest, but because of the wound the glass slipped out from my hand,I tried to catch it but this happened",he replied in a cute and smooth voice with innocent face.
She smiled at his cuteness and told him not to bother she'll do it by herself.He smiled and nodded.First of all she starred cleaning the mess after that she made mango juice for both of them.He was staring her all the time.
