However, Alex did not leave his territory immediately but opened the [Shop] option first.
He wanted to buy a certain skill before he starts killing "monsters".

Although it's relatively ineffective to buy things from the [Shop] with the Gold coins, this skill is cheap and useful enough that Alex still wants to do it for this skill.
He paid 250 gold and chose himself when he could choose who gets the skill.
After Alex did that, he started walking north.
Luckily he and his summons instinctively knew which way Alex's territory was as soon as they left so Alex didn't have to buy a compass to get back.
Alex came closer and closer to the forest and only now does he realize how abnormally large these trees are. Alex was in awe of the size and majesty of the trees.
Also, when he tried to touch a tree, he realized how hard these trees truly are.
these trees were even harder than steel and felt extremely weird when Alex touched them. Alex was sure that such a tree didn't exist in his old world.
As he thought about it, a thought occurred to him that he hadn't noticed before.
As far as Alex knew all the contestants were distributed among a certain number of worlds. Alex had thought at first that this distribution was random but now that he thought about it he felt that wasn't really the case.
This planet was vastly too human-friendly and similar to the earth for that to be true. (similar enough)
Alex felt that all human and human-like races are probably on the same planet as Alex.
He thought, 'Human-like races is probably not quite the right word. Maybe earth-like races are more accurate. hmm, maybe even vaguer'
Alex didn't know for sure if that was true, but he felt the theory was extremely likely true. or at least with the information that Alex now had.
He stopped thinking about it and started walking deeper into the forest.
The forest was vast, foggy, and verdant. The grasses he stepped on were crackly beneath his foot and Alex was starting to get a little nervous.
This forest was just too weird.
Alex didn't see any insects or small animals or hear any noise at all as he walked through this forest.
He knew that he should be more than strong enough to not have any problems in this forest but this weird atmosphere makes it difficult not to get a bit nervous.
Alex finally heard a soft noise after a few minutes. he followed this noise and suddenly saw this weird creature.
A large toad-like creature with pulsating, multicolored eyes, which emits a loud, ominous buzzing noise.

Large Acid Toads were just under a meter tall and didn't seem particularly strong to Alex.
The only dangerous thing is that they emit a cloud of acid from their bodies when they die. But as long as you run away from the corpse fast enough or attack from afar, you don't have to worry about it.
Alex didn't immediately attack this creature and jumped up a tree.
He had no problem jumping more than 30 meters and ascending to the earliest tree branch.
Alex searches for a matching part of the branch and when he finds a matching 1-meter wood stick, he decides to take it.
He then starts using [Ko] (gathering all of his aura in his hand).
These trees' wood was harder than steel and not so easy to separate without Alex using his aura.
Alex formed his hand similar to a karate punch, and he cleanly severed part of the branch as he slashed with it.
He then took the wood stick and jumped down from the tree. Alex didn't want to touch this creature with his hand so he got this wood stick.
[Magnetic Touch: positive charges]
Alex then uses his Nen ability on his wood stick to further amplify the sharpness and hardness of that wood stick.
Now Alex felt that he was optimally equipped for this fight and he ran in the direction of this Toad.
The large Acid Toad seems to have extremely poor vision and only when Alex is 10 meters away from him does this Toad notice Alex.
However, Alex was extremely fast and he can cover 10 meters in under 1 second.
The sharp end of the wood stick pierced the head of the Toad and penetrated like a knife through butter through the creature's head.
[Large Acid Toad was killed. The User has gained 21 experiences and 2 Gold.]
The whole fight was over in less than 1 second.
Alex wasted no time and immediately ran away after killing this creature.
He was already 30 meters away from this Toad when the corpse of this creature emit a weird cloud of acid.
strangely enough, this cloud of acid doesn't behave as Alex had imagined and this cloud of acid doesn't move naturally/logically.
It covered an area of about 10 by 10 meters and didn't move after that. It was as if this cloud was in an invisible 10 by-10-meter container.
Alex had seen a lot of strange things though, so he wasn't really surprised that the cloud of acid was so weird.
He reflects on his performance in the first "fight".
This creature was so weak that he could not gain any real combat experience. although it's good enough to test his NEN-ability a bit.
Alex waits for the cloud of acid to disappear.
Then went to the remains of the Toad and saw if he could find anything interesting.
Alex saw nothing but the disgusting corpse of this Toad. apart from the fact that the stench of this creature was absolutely disgusting.
He stopped looking at that corpse and started looking for new victims/opponents.
