Chapter 10: The Meeting (Part 2)
Arriving at the courtyard Nia takes a look around and takes notice of the everyone there.
The place was filled with maids and children. They were split into three groups with a colored banner. Rose and Luna took Nia to the area under the Pink Banner.
Looking around Nia saw that all of the children similar features. They all had black hair but their eye colors were all similar to what color division they are in.
Nia saw that all the girls in her division excluding the maids had some form of pink for their eyes. She looked at the other two divisions and noticed that their eyes were a shade of the color of the division that they belonged to.
Nia seeing this turned to Rose and asked, "Are we determined what group we are placed in by the color of are eyes?"
"Yes, When each and everyone of you were born you all had either pink, gold, or green eyes." Rose said.
"How were we all born then?" Nia asked.
Luna chimed in before Rose could even speak, "Shhh, It's starting."
Everyone in the courtyard quieted down and took a look to the giant doors with strange markings placed in the north of the courtyard. The doors shone in seven different colors but three of them were dimmed. Violet, Red, Orange, and Gray were the colors that shone and Pink, Green, and Gold were dimmed.
With the doors opening, Nia could see visible excitement from both Rose and Luna. Rose with a smile from one ear to the other as she struggles to keep Luna in place who is practically jumping up and down with joy.
With the doors opened eight figures walked out with confident strides. Four in the front and four in the back. The four in the back were in maid outfits each with a different style from Rose and Luna. The four in the front all had black hair and their eye colors matched the shining lights from the door.
The one with Violet eyes takes a step forward and starts to speak, "Hello girls I am here to tell you a few things that you need to know about this place and your roles in it." She spoke with a calm tone and used her mana to amplify her voice so that everyone could hear her.
She continues when she notices them all staring at her with a smile, "While some of you may know because your maids told you I will start from the start just in case. This is the secondary castle that is within the Sin Continent on the world of Thera. This castle is connected to the main castle those doors." Pointing at the Seven colored doors.
"All of your eyes each have a color that matches the door. The colors on the door and your eyes represents one of the Seven Deadly Sins that you all relate too. The colors and corresponding Sins are Violet is the Sin of Pride. Red is the Sin of Wrath. Orange is the Sin of Gluttony. Gray is the Sin of Sloth. Pink is the Sin of Lust. Green is the Sin of Greed. And Gold is the Sin of Envy." The Violet eyed woman explains.
Taking a breath she looks around and notices that the children all have different reactions some confused other with solemn expressions taking a guess on what the words she said meant, Nia adopting one of uncertainty like she has a guess but needs definite proof to come up with a concrete conclusion.
"Now then your roles look around yourselves and see that those around you have the similar colored eyes to you in your division. They are your competitors. To one day walk through those doors with us and join us as a family. You must go through trials and cultivate proving that you are the best among your group and not be eliminated. Those that are eliminated will have the power of their Sin extracted and pooled together until there is one left."
Her next words made everyone even the maids gasp in surprise not expecting these words. "You all will be put into groups of three with one girl from each Sin. Your maids will the ones that search and decide who will be in your group of three. All the rooms will also be combined when you have your group completed. You have 1 week to finish. If you are unable to find a group you will then be eliminated, one that can't even find a group to join have no right to join us later."
Nia with thoughts only known to her looked around and saw a fire light up in their eyes, while they warily looked at those around them.
The Violet eyed woman with a satisfied look speaks up again, "The rewards for being the final one left in your Deadly Sin division will be many. You will gain strength, power, and status that lets you roam this world freely and gives you an advantage for when you are ready to leave this world with us and explore. You will gain a family that cherishes and loves you no matter what."
After those final words she snaps her fingers and leaves with the woman she came with through the seven colored door. the doors lights dim after they leave.
Nia who heard this eyes shone with great fervor with the last words that the Violet eyed woman spoke rang out repeatedly in her mind. 'A family that cherishes and loves me.'
Rose turned to Luna and grabbed Nia spoke out with great urgency, "We need to find Freya and Eris quickly."
