Fernanda's Point of view (POV)
I woke up that morning feeling rather the same. The Enthusiasm which people get when it was their birthday which usually had, had stopped after I married Damian. Damian Legaspi, a multibillionaire, Owner of the largest companies, Good looking but hot tempered and ruthless. My phone started ringing and I reached for it on the table beside my bed "Hello sweetheart happy birthday" Replied my mum. "Thanks mum, how is dad?" I asked "He is fine dear, he sends his regards" she responded, I glanced at the clock, oh shit it was 8:00 clock I wondered why Damian haven't come to the room to nag me yet, I needed to get up and go make his breakfast, I ended the call and went for the shower, had a quick bath and went downstairs. The first person I met was Regina, the house lady, she is in charge of the cooking, cleaning, and washing in the house, not that she was the only one, they were about seven other housemaids, but she was their head and was always held accountable for everything that went wrong. "Good morning ma Fernanda" greeted Regina "morning Gina, where is the master?" I asked
"He left early this morning" she replied
"Oh ..........." I said as I made for the kitchen. I had a hunch that he wasn't around if he was, I wouldn't been spared, he always wanted me to be in the kitchen even though I wasn't cooking, maybe he fear being poisoned, well, was he expect when he is so mean and cruel to them I had thought. What made him think he can trust me, well maybe because he knew I was kind hearted and couldn't hurt a fly that was my weakness, my kindness.......
The door bell rang and Cynthia went for it. I wondered what will happen if the house helps were not around they were the only ones with me and Damian in the lonely house "come and have a seat ma, while I call madam I heard Cynthia say, without waiting for her to come to the kitchen I came out to the sitting room to see a lady sitting on my couch, when I got closer and saw her my heart stopped beating, then it started again very fast, I was shocked to the core, I felt like I just came out of ice water because I stood cold " Fernanda" I heard her say as she stood up, I was able to regain my speech but I was still shocked. What are you doing here" I asked
"I came to wish you a happy birthday" she said with a fake smile which was obvious,
"Bethany, I asked a question" I said again
"And I have answered" she said rolling her eyes and shift her gaze to the picture of me and Damian on the wall.
"You look so happy with your husband here" she said
"I don't want to hear anything from you, leave my house" I ordered finding my composure
"Oh damn Fernanda..... Calm down, I haven't come to kill you yet, so relax" she said with a mischievous smile. How dare she? I thought, to tell me she hasn't come to kill me yet? So she wanted to kill me? You are as crazy as you were 10 years ago, you are a damn maniac get out of my house" I yelled rather angrily
"And you are a damn witch" she fired back, I didn't like exchanging words any more so I went to the telephone on the side table in the sitting room and called my security men to come throw her out, she started laughing, I wondered what must triggered her laughter but I didn't care I wouldn't allow anyone to come into my house and insult me no matter who it was, be it my sister or anyone else. The two security men walked in, Brno and Charles "Bruno, throw her out and make sure she never gets in here again" I said to Bruno. He was about to hold her when she held out her hand and said " Don't you dare touch me, I am leaving" then she turned to me and smiled "it is not over sis…, it's not over…." She said snatched her bag from the couch and walked out, Bruno and Charles followed her.
