Chapter 2: The Drop
{ARK: 2144 : 5 years before The 100 falls to earth}
I awoke to bright white lights blinding me for a second. I quickly slam my eyes shut.
I slowly open them once more. Getting used to the bright lights on the Ark. I slowly sit up and looked around noticing straight away that I was in the clothes I had selected and all the bags were packed already.
I quickly roll out of the bed and start checking all the gear. It was all there so I quickly start attaching gear to myself. First the machete on the left side of my hip for quick drawing. Next was my Knife which I quickly attach to my right hip. I grab the two large quivers full of arrows. 40 arrows a piece. I pull some arrows out and start to sort them out. The right quiver was full of broadheads and bullet points and so was the left quiver.
I then attach them to the side of the large rucksack as I won't be able to have them on my back or on the side of my legs when I am in the Drop Ship. I grab the bow and do a test draw from one of the quivers. The bow that was here was a compound bow that was fully jet black. No scope but a simple iron sight.
It was an easy draw so that was good enough for me. This means I won't have to drop the pack each time to launch an arrow. I made my way over to the drop ship and this one had a working system for landing with boosters which means I can land in a specific area that I already have a plan for dropping near my bunker.
I put my rucksack into the passenger seat and do a double check of the area finding a small leather saddle bag that had some notepads, journals, and plenty of pens and pencils which I throw and attach to the large rucksack.
I set in the location for a roughish area on the system. My home was near the main river from season 1, It was just a bit further up and away from where I know the drop ship will land.
It was the actual reason I bought this land. It was an awesome hunting area, and the river was great for fishing.
I wait till we're over the area and strap myself in and double-check the systems and launch.
It was a safe launch and I know I won't be spotted as the location I was in had no windows to look out this way.
The oxygen I had already set up to revert to the rest of the Ark so that would be good.
I aint about to kill no children with venting that much oxygen.
The Drop Ship comes down at a rapid speed and I aim it slowed down as I heard the bang from entering the atmosphere. It is also dark out, so I won't be easily found straightaway. They will find it eventually but I am aiming it down at an angle to use some cargo nets to hide it easier.
I was 300 feet from the ground when I activated the thrusters and bring it down slowly. As soon as it touches the ground I grab the camo net and throw it over the drop ship and grab my rucksack with my bow. I quickly get out of the area following my memory to my cave.
It was jet black out and thanks to all the skills, knowledge, memories, and muscle memory of the people I asked for. I was able to run and not break any sticks somehow and run that 5 miles to the cave within 2 hours.
I got to the outside of the cave and it was so overgrown you wouldn't even notice it with Roots falling over the cave entrance and moss and bushes hiding it.
I slowly enter the cave with my knife out in case something has taken over the entrance. I see nothing and slowly make my way over to the end of the cave and move a rock on the ground out of the way to see the small code lock.
I quickly enter the 8-digit code and put my thumb on the scanner. It quickly registers and the hidden door opens outwards slightly enough for one person and a half to walk side by side.
Once in I press the button for the door to shut again. It shuts and the locks engage and then the hydraulic system disengages again so It can't be opened till the button is pressed and the code is entered.
Once inside I am greeted by the lovely concrete interior and the dual 50 caliber machine gun I have aiming at the door to spray down any intruders.
I let out a sigh of relief and headed to my room to unpack and relax slightly. I walk over the walkway and looked down at my little river which has plants growing on the banks and red seaweed in the river. I could see some fish swimming inside also which is good. This means a free supply of fish without having to leave.
I check the armory and all the gear was still in mint condition. I even noticed the guns that I had died with were there! That was awesome, but I wanna survive as a grounder for the next few years and build a shelter on the outside of my bunker.
I will be using wood, clay, and so on to make a little house so if I do get found by the grounders there is a little house grounder style so they don't kick-off.
Anyway, I quickly enter my room and strip out of my clothes, and have a quick shower seeing the water come through cleanly made me smile. After a quick shower, I dried off and changed into fur clothes that were quite similar to the Grounders but mine had a bear's head that covered my head like a hood.
It was a particularly large brown bear that had attacked me before while I was fishing on the river. It didn't survive my S&W to the chest twice though.
It was about 550kg (1212lbs) so a fairly large piece of clothing and quite thick. I had turned it into a chest piece/hood. My trousers were made from wolf fur and my shoulder pads had the skulls of the wolf incorporated into them with their skin once it was treated to last. The bear's skull did cover my head also as a helmet.
I had combat boots though for my footwear that had steel toe caps. I grabbed one of my homemade bows and some custom-made arrows. I always wanted to do proper survival and this is my new way of doing it. A new life. No more orders.
I grabbed my quiver made from deer fur and one of my homemade swords which was just a machete with a full tang and a bone handle. One large axe was used for tree felling and headed out and decided to start working on the area.
I left the cave stealthily and check the perimeter and nothing was in sight. I quickly check for tracks and noticed some deer sh*t on the ground near one of the bushes at the cave entrance.
It was at least a few days old though so I left it and headed into the woods to look for some trees to chop not near my cave.
It was several hours later chopping down smallish trees and chopping them into some 8-foot lengths and carrying them into the cave when I heard a twig snap.
It was in the distance but it was enough for me to be alert. I quickly clambered up the tree nearest to me and got ready with my bow and a broadhead arrow ready.
It was soon after that. That several Reapers ran into the clearing sniffing and growling.
I quickly got 8 more arrows out ready and took aim. I quickly fired them one after another scoring headshot after headshot.
I quickly dropped down and started checking their weapons and putting them to the side and quickly decided to make my territory known and made some stakes and stabbed them into the ground after retrieving my arrows.
2 of them had broken inside their skulls but the others were still good to go.
I quickly used the rope the Reapers had on them and tied them to the stakes and made a fire in the middle of them just as stay clear message.
Might work in my favor or it might fuck me over. I quickly left the area and started to work on my new house in the cave after checking the area once more.
{The ARK: 2144}
"What was that launch on the system?" Jake Griffin asked the Chancellor.
"We don't know Jake, But it came from the abandoned part of Flint station. There is no access there not even by vents. It was all trashed by a meteorite strike. Maybe someone survived. There were enough rations in there for a few hundred and they worked on a drop-ship this whole time with no access to talk to us." Jaha explained calmly.
"Well whatever they have done they managed to revert all the oxygen coming to that part of the
station back to the rest of the Ark," Jake explained.
{TonDC: 2144} (Heads up I am terrible at some of the Trikru words)
"Teik the scouts out en look gon the fallen star!" Indra barks out to the guards nearby.
"Sha war chief" The guard calls out and runs out of the room.
"Chit was bilaik fallen star" Indra mutters to herself.
{The Cave: 2144}
It has been 50 days since I came to this world and landed on the ground. I hadn't had any more incidents since the Reapers. I slowly built a house in the cave and made a wooden/hardened clay door with a small chimney for the fire. I had left space at the back and attached a bed to the door of the bunker entrance and tested it to make sure it didn't break or catch.
I had made a few kills in my time here. A few night wolves who I added the skulls into the door. My favorite one is that you have to put your hand into its mouth to unlock the door.
I added more plants and bushes to the entrance of my cave and I only let one thing be seen in my cave and that was the skull of the night wolf. It was a large skull that was above the door and it was large. I added clay to it and hardened it into the wall so it won't be easily broken.
The entrance was a nice deer rug, some hanging bone chandeliers with lanterns hanging off it with candles inside.
The large open fire pit with a rotisserie over it. Which currently had a boar on the flame slowly being turned. I had a few clay jars full of different herbs, My bed had Wolf fur as the bottom layer and another large bear that I had killed as a blanket, and the pillow was made from deer fur.
This bear was smaller than the last one I had killed but this one was still quite large. I turned the skull into a light that was above my bed and it glowed creepily when it was dark in there.
I had started to make a necklace from the killing of dangerous predators. The largest claw from each kill hung from my chest.
I was busy cooking when I heard one of my warning traps go off. It was a bunch of bones attached to a string that went out into the forest and if it was tripped it made a bone rattle in the house.
I was always in my armor ready. I grabbed my quiver, bow, a few throwing axes, knives, and two swords ready for a fight.
I slowly open my door's peephole and saw several scouts looking around the area. I didn't know any of the local languages but English. So I pulled a rope that activated a trap behind them that caused a large bang causing them all to startle and run that way out of the area.
It was a diversion technique. After the trap activated I pulled the rope in so It won't be tracked.
I sneaked out of my cave and locked the door, There were no windows so they couldn't break through that but the door was strong enough not to be knocked down easily.
I put some mud over my face and pulled my hood up and climbed the trees and slowly tracked the scouts through the trees like a silent death, a ghost in the forest.
I could hear fighting ahead in the forest, So I quickened my speed to notice that my trap had killed what looks like a raiding party. It was about 20 Azgeda from what I heard and the scouts were losing. I quickly aimed with two arrows using some of my skills from Legolas and fired scoring two kills straight away.
Due to all the fighting, they didn't notice they were losing people till it was 5 scouts left and 8 Azgeda raiders. That was when I dropped from above with both my swords out onto two different Azegada's they went down easily and I quickly pulled my swords out and swiped out taking the heads off two different warriors.
It was so fast and I had just taken out 4 of their people in seconds, The scouts were quick to react and I jumped over to the next guy launching him into his friend's sword. I quickly threw a knife into the other guy's throat.
The other two seeing this started to run and I quickly fired two arrows into their necks before they could leave. I quickly crouched down and started to retrieve my arrow and knife from the dead combatants.
The scouts were wary of me and didn't say a word checking over their own people first. They ignored me and I ignored them.
"Chon yu bilaik?" The lead scout shouted at me.
I looked at him and tilted my head a bit.
"Do you speak English?" I ask
He shook his head and one of the other scouts walks forward.
"He asks, Who are you?" The younger scout said.
"Ahhhh, I am Ivar" I speak calmly while double-checking over my weapons and cleaning them on the bodies of the Azgeda.
The Scout leader whispers to the younger scout.
"Which tribe are you from?" He asks this time.
"No tribe. I live here all my life. I hunt every day and that is all" I say calmly.
The younger scout explains to his leader and the leader looks confused.
"He asks why you have never been seen before" he states
"I live in a cave near here, I only come out for hunting but I heard your fight and I helped when I can. Plus I hunt all the reapers in this area." I speak with a grim smile.
"My leader wishes to ask how old are you and did you kill these animals yourself." He points at my necklace and my clothing.
"Yeah, Hunted this bear when I was 8 with my father, I killed it and these wolves soon after. I got more in my cave. But I am 14" I state.
This seems to shock them that I had killed the bear and wolves myself. As there was whispering.
"Follow, I have medicine and food for you lot" I state and start walking into the forest while they carried their people after me.
We soon come to the entrance and they see the skulls built into the entrance and start speaking among themselves. I shove my hand through the mouth of the night wolf and unlock the door. Pulling a thick rope with my hand till they hear a thud and I open the door to my den of furs and skulls.
"Come come, Make yourself at home!" I call out cheerfully. Since I saved their lives through their own traditions they owe me now as blood must have blood.
"The leader wants to know if you had seen a star fall from the ground." He asks as they all sit around the fire on my custom couches made from the bones and wood, furs, and all sorts of the creatures I had killed.
Some of them even point to the bear skull on the wall and all the other animal furs around the area.
"Yeah I have seen it, The Mountain men went to it and took stuff from it. I couldn't get closer to it though" This was true as not long after I left I noticed them taking stuff from it.
I quickly grab my large jar of medicine and passed it to them and one of them started working with his friends.
"They are boring prey the mountain men, Now they don't come to my area anymore though. They keep sending the Reapers now but their too easy to kill off" I mutter at the end.
That seemed to snap them into shape that I was hunting the mountain men around the area and the reapers.
"You hunt them and the reapers?" The young scout asks while stuttering a bit.
He quickly explained what I said to his leader and the others and they all seem to look full of fear and awe at the same time.
"Yeah, If you cut their clothes they die. Makes it easy and boring. I only kill those who attack me and try to enter my house without permission. But I kill mountain men and reapers, They don't deserve to live." I mutter darkly.
"What happened to your Father?" He asks. Seems they are info-hunting for their leader now.
"Mountain Men took him. I was 10 at the time now I hunt them for revenge." Making my own back story is a good idea.
"There is boar on the fire help yourself and water in the big jug over there. When you guys are done you can leave or whatever, I've got more stuff to hunt soon." I state into the silence and walk over to my bed and sit down with a journal and start to sketch some stuff while they wait around a bit.
"Thank you for the help and our leader says he will be back with our chief to speak to you" I just nod and they walk out of the place. I quickly lock the door once they leave and start reorganizing my gear for my trip to the Pauna.
It was a few hours later that I exited my bunker with my S&W hidden in the massive bear clothes I was wearing. I quickly leave the bunker and head north. I recently tracked a Pauna north and it was massive. I know this wasn't the one from the Zoo as this one was further north.
My plan was to trap it near my cave entrance. So I set some pitfalls and snares for my massive creatures. I set them up with large logs and rocks so they can pull their arms or legs out to make it easier to skin and kill.
And that is what I had done, I set a few traps around and then went North. It wasn't even 5 miles from my cave, So I aimed with my bow and hit it with an arrow to the lower calf. It didn't go deep but it was enough for its attention.
It roared and ran after me. The arrow I used was drugged to make it sleepy. I had tested it on a bear and that had needed one to kill it with an overdose so I am hoping one is enough to make it tired.
I quickly ran to my traps about 100 feet away from my home and dived over the traps pulling another arrow and hitting it in the neck. It worked as it roared loudly and its legs were pulled out from underneath it and pulled up slightly from the trees. Its roar was deafening.
I quickly pulled out a nice and sharp arrow and aimed at its eyes as it roared at me and let it loose straight into its brain. It quickly stilled and died.
"Ahahahaha! That was too easy!" I laugh aloud. I quickly pull my arrows out of it and climb up the beast and start to bleed it. It was at the correct height as well so I quickly cut its neck open and then cut its chest open pulling out its organs onto a tarp that I had ready.
I tied the tarp together and start heaving the organs into the freezer in my cave.
I quickly grab some more tarps and bring them out to start the process of meat gathering.
2 hours later and I had got half the meat out and in the freezer. I had set out some more tarp on the ground and lowered it down so I could work on the meat.
It was simply going from there. Due to all the meat being gone all I left was the Bones and the skin.
Now what to do with the bones. I quickly pulled out the largest tooth and put it onto my necklace and then start to take the bones inside. I piled them up and put the skull on my bed for now. I grabbed the skin and started to work on it to make a floor for the whole cave.
For the next few days, I had got the skin ready and covered the floor of my cave except around the fire where I had stone left around it.
The skull I had an Idea to incorporate it into a new chandelier and my dining table I had made out of bones and wood to make a largish table and a large chair at the end of the table with some of the leftover skin at the end of it. There were simple chairs around the table though in case I had more guests which would be soon.
I turned one of the spare skulls into a fruit bowl in the centre of the table which had berries and apples from my farm. The two closest chairs had bear fur over them for comfort and the last 4 had wolf fur.
I was yet to find a panther though. My necklace was getting large though and my body was getting more muscular every day and my height was increasing. Most likely from the high protein diet.

"Yu found a random goufa in the trimani dressed in bear en wolf armor chon killed most gon the azgeda raiders? kom a bow en sword kom skill yu don nowe seen fou?" Indra asked calmly to the Scout leader.
"Sha warchief, em was 14 en em hunts the maun men en reapers. Em saved our lives gon the azgeda's osir were outnumbered en unprepared." The scout leader stated.
"Why did yu nou bring em back kom yu? chit about the Starfall?" Indra asked irritably
"Warchief, em has built a houm der kom his nontu fou the maun men took em. Em seintaim had many trophies bilaik yu beda see. Ai couldn't teik bilaik away kom the goufa em saved our lives. Jus drein jus daun. The goufa said the starfall was raided by the maun men." The scout stated.
"Osir will visit disha goufa den en find out mo about em." Indra sighs then stands up and starts to prep for the journey ahead.
