Chapter 2: Another hero..?

Fast forward to years later.

A hero has woken up inside a casket on what seemed to be a castle. Perhaps it used to be a castle.

He then proceeded to open up the casket from the inside and get out of it.

Examining himself, he saw that his clothes were that of long denim pants and a dirty long-sleeved shirt. He then scanned the surroundings; a dim light makes visible of what seems to be disheveled tables with bottles of wine, plates of rotten food and silverware.

A faint sense of unease surrounds this dim and quiet place.

Our hero looks around and attempts to remember why he woke up here, in this desolate place but all it ever did was brought about a fearsome headache.

With all that pain, our hero manages to remember one thing, a faint memory of a name given to him by a hazy figure.

"Rain."

Out of a sudden, footsteps.

Hearing this, Rain then thought quickly and hid beneath one of the tables.

Rain checks for any more sounds and when there was nothing, rain slowly exited the hiding spot.

Slowly standing up, he then crouched looking for the source of the footsteps when he accidentally hit a table, causing a plate to fall off and shatter.

Rain then grabs a nearby knife and prepares for the worse.

After waiting for what felt like hours, he then decided that whatever made those sounds was already gone and he was fine. He then breathed a sigh of relief.

Suddenly something lunged at him from behind causing him to drop his knife, it dragged him down to the floor. The assailant started clawing at rain, tearing away parts of his shirt.

Rain then defended himself whilst looking at his attacker, he makes out to be a disfigured face with barely half of it with skin. The figure had rotted teeth with no eyes and began to focus on attempting to bite rain.

Luckily this gave rain an opportunity with the pressure focusing more on his arms that he could use his legs to boost himself and push his assailant away.

He quickly stood up and looked for the knife he had earlier. Then the disfigured creature also stood up and slowly walked toward him. Rain then prepared to fight back but after the figure got close, it only ignored him.

Confused by this, rain started to wave his hand but to no response. Then he had an idea, he took one of the silverwares, a fork and threw it away.

The figure then was alerted to the sound and lunged at the source. With this revelation, rain then looked quietly and found the knife earlier. He slowly approached the assailant with quiet steps and raised his knife up, bringing it down in a swift motion but he completely missed as the figure narrowly dodges it by moving randomly.

The figure is then alerted and tackled rain biting at his left arm. Rain quickly then stabbed at the assailant's throat causing it to start choking on Its own blood as it slowly fell limp on top of rain.

He then shoved the corpse aside and took a deep breath. Standing up, rain tore his left sleeve, examining his arm. It had been badly bitten and there appears to be mysterious black liquid flowing out of his arm from the bite.

Rain looked at his surroundings for a way to bandage his arm and saw the tablecloth and wine. He then washed the tablecloth and his wound with wine while enduring the pain. Afterwards, he bandaged his arm with the tablecloth.

Rain then spotted a broken window on the side and broke it. He then looked outside to see brighter light than the inside from what appears to be a dim star.

The sun has risen.
