Chapter 22: The History Class
'The trip went well but...it came sooner than I had excepted.'
There are no electronic devices such as computers and smartphones in this world.
Does that mean that civilization is lagging behind?
It is not.
However, since everything is possible with magic, it was rather a case of deterioration in technology.
I could also see this course registration slip delivered to me as one of the fruits of magic that surpasses technology.
When I checked the empty paper, which had nothing written on it, to my surprise, along with the very large letters at the top of the 'Course Registration Form', the details of the courses I could take began to slowly reveal themselves.
What was even more interesting was that it could be clicked and dragged like a tablet PC on paper.

When I saw the name of the lecture, my heart already felt magnificent.
'Yes, even in the original game, these two subjects are literally an event bonanza where various main events occur.'

A total of 36 credits must be earned in one semester.
The compulsory major is 5 credits, the elective major is 5 credits, and the liberal arts is 2 credits.
General students can take up to four major elective courses, including one advanced and three basic courses.
So, it is common to fill in three liberal arts classes and take a total of nine lectures a week.
"By the way, the first period on Monday is the lecture on 'The History of Magic'... ... ."
The professor in charge of the 'History of Magic' lecture is none other than the assistant principal, Silai Frompet.

As Coco and Bryna started talking, Ald also joined I just listened quietly from the side. "There she comes...Silai Frompet."
A short stature but domineering eyes and a gaze that will make you shiver just from glancing at her, 'I hope I won't get myself involved in anything messy.'

'I liked taking this class even in my countless playthrough I don't remember proceeding with the story without this history class.'
As Bryna took out her small notebook of her I also did the same and the lecture began simultaneously.

"Before going to the lecture I wish to ask a simple question to you, students, where did the magic begin from?"
A bastard at the front rose his hand and Silai pointed at the noble student smiling ear to ear, "Yes, please continue."
"It's recorded in history that when the world was born both the gods and demons were fighting for the earth, this gave broth to mana, a energyformed due to demonic energy and divine energy, banishing both and allowing us to make this as our home planet."
Her smile only grew bigger after the student had finished speaking and she said, "Good, that was the perfect answer."
Silai responded with a word of praise and slight appalling and her eyes locked with none other than me, "So, shall our famous young master can give where the basis and evidence for that came from?"
'I knew it, she was planning for this from the start...however, I am a no pushover!'
"The evidence came from the destroyed magical kingdom Zaria and our country that discovered the ruins holdfast to the knowledge and unlocked the potentials of humans centuries ago."
My answer bought silence to the class immediately and I could see Silai's face slightly reddened, but she immediately proceeded with the next.
'So, you want the hard way, huh, well then come at me.'
"Well, it's a basic sense by now most of the students know the answer. Who is the hero that discovered the ruins and name the scholar that unlocked the human potential?"
The question wasn't one a freshman would know and I could see from her eyes that she is brimming with excitement to humiliate me, "Eren joseph, and Lucas Anisely respectively are the answers to your question."
The atmosphere became solemn and the woman didn't know to hide her emotions well, her already arrogant face was now as red as a volcano that was about to explode and I could clearly see her clenched fists trembling.
However, Silai attack's didn't end there as she opened her mouth I prepared myself, "Ares you are a very talented student, please drop by in the faculty room I have a job for a knowledgeable cadet such as you."
When I heard that, the whole class became dumbfounded including me.
