Chapter 2: Lie's Friends for Life

When she woke up in the morning, she wondered how she would survive in these circumstances. She was exhausted and her eyes were puffy from all the crying she had done during the night. "What if I make an excuse to go back to my hometown?" she thought as her mother knocked on the door. My darling daughter? Do you feel awake? Everything fades away for a moment, and she was thinking about how devoted her mother is. She changed her mind and said, "Yes, mum, I'm coming." She dressed, put on her glasses, and exited her room. Her mother was waiting for her at the table. She ate her breakfast.

That's when her mother inquired "What happened, my daughter? You looked sad, and your eyes are puffy as well. Is everything okay? Did you get enough sleep last night? Is there anything going on at school? You can tell me it's fine because you know I understand, right?". One can clearly see her mother's concern. she responded "Hold on, mother, hold on, everything is fine. I'm just too excited about high school and everything because this is a big city and I've never been in such a place before, which is why I didn't sleep well last night". Her mother didn't want to believe it, but she did and said goodbye, hugged her, and whispered in her ear, "I love you the most."

She had the energy of a conqueror, and nothing could stop her today. She didn't ride her bike because the tyre was punctured. She was walking to school. She noticed someone from her neighbourhood riding a bike and when she looked closely, she realised it was Chad. "Oh, Chad, how are you?" Chad replied, "I am fine." Before he can flee again, Dab thanks him for everything he has done for her previously. Chad responded coldly, "I would have done this to any other person, it's no big deal," and then rode away on his bike. It was upsetting for her because no one had ever spoken in this manner in their town; it was unusual to her. She made her way towards the school.

Everything in the school had changed, "everyone is smiling and generous today, why is this happening? I guess now that they know me, will they change their perception of me?" dab wondered. She greets everyone and takes a seat at her table. Chad approached her table, but she did not greet him as they had previously met. Alysha approached Dab and said "How are things going for you? Are you having difficulty adjusting? Do you require my assistance with anything? "I would love to help you with any matter, try catching up as you are already late and exams are approaching," dab responded, surprised, "thank you for your kindness, I will definitely tell if there is a problem."" Alysha went to her table with her three friends, who were sitting behind Chad.

Dab was too young to realize what was going on. Chad was a completely different person when both were alone. Chad acts coldly when they are alone, but at school he always seems to help her and is very kind to her. It was lunchtime, and Chad was approaching Dab, but Alysha arrived quickly and asked, "Dab, would you like to have lunch with us?" Dab was amused to see that she didn't hesitate to say yes. Chad turned and exited the classroom. During lunch, Alysha questioned about Dab's life in town and told her how close Chad and Alysha are and how Alysha has loved Chad since middle school. Dab listened to everything and thought to self, "they both deserve each other, both of them are amazingly beautiful." Alysha intervened "hello, dab? Are you paying attention?" "Yes, yes, so did you confess to him?" dab asked. "No, not until now," she replied. "I want to apologies on behalf of my friends for not treating you well yesterday, as they don't normally accept people quickly," Alysha said.
