Chapter 9: Against the Odds
The sea of towering trees surged forward, closing in on the majestic red dragon.
The dragon struggled, its movements hampered by the vice-like grip of the tree trunks ensnaring its legs, wings, neck, and tail.
"What incredible Jutsu, The wood release is truly formidable," Sasuke praised, impressed by the first Hokage technique.
With a surge of chakra, Sasuke propelled himself toward the immobilized dragon, ready to deliver a decisive blow.
In one fluid motion, he leaped into the air, unsheathing his sword with his right arm as crackling lightning enveloped the blade.
"Chidori."
As Sasuke descended, he executed a series of lightning-fast, 360-degree slashes. The blade, infused with electricity, tore through the dragon's flesh, leaving a trail of searing pain in its wake.
The dragon let out a thunderous roar, a testament to the overwhelming power of the wood release and Sasuke's relentless swordsmanship.

On the live broadcast screen, a captivating teenage boy emerged, donning a tattered brown poncho with a hood and adorned with multiple necklaces. He stood defiantly before the red dragon, either the survivor or the one who had failed the previous hunters.
The world watched in awe as the sea of trees ensnared the dragon, followed by a barrage of lightning-infused sword strikes.
"His magical attacks are on another level. Compared to him, I'm nothing more than a third-rate mage," muttered a fellow magic user in disbelief.
"What kind of movement is that? I can't even keep up with his speed," exclaimed another viewer, struggling to comprehend the fluidity of Sasuke's actions.
"I've never seen someone so strong and yet unknown. It's strange that someone of his caliber isn't famous," pondered a spectator, intrigued by the enigmatic hunter on their screens.
"Indeed, a man so powerful should be renowned," one of the male hunters remarked.
"KYAA! Did you see his face when the camera zoomed in? So captivating!" a woman squealed with excitement, completely absorbed by the new hunter's presence.
"And those lightning flashes surrounding him! Absolutely cool!" another woman chimed in, clearly smitten by the visual spectacle.
"I'd rate him a perfect 10 for his looks," voiced another member of the group, their eyes glimmering with a hint of longing.
Meanwhile, three men scowled in displeasure, muttering their disdain for the hunter who had captured the attention and adoration of the crowd.
Unbeknownst to Sasuke, his battle was being broadcasted live to audiences worldwide.

The dragon emitted a pained growl as it strained to break free from the wooden prison, its front legs managing to wrestle out of the grip of the tree trunks. However, the majority of its massive body remained tightly restrained.
"You insignificant brat! How dare you humiliate the mighty Dragon Kamish!" the dragon bellowed in desperation, its threats carrying an air of futility.
"You're quite noisy," Sasuke remarked calmly, unperturbed by the dragon's protests.
Closing in on the dragon's now liberated leg, Sasuke's form blurred as he executed a rapid spinning motion, slashing at the exposed ankle with his lightning-infused blade.
-Slash!
The dragon let out a guttural groan, writhing in pain as the severed leg poured crimson from the wound.
Sasuke gracefully landed on the ground, fixing his gaze upon the captive dragon, its flesh marred by deep slashes and its forelegs severed.
Undeterred, the dragon unleashed a fiery assault, causing the wooden restraints to crumble under the intense heat and force.
-Flap! Flap!
Beating its mighty wings, the dragon created a powerful gust of wind, attempting to create distance between itself and Sasuke.
"I must keep my distance. Staying on the ground would only result in being bound by those accursed trees again," the dragon strategized, remembering the crushing agony it endured when initially ensnared.
"For now, I'll provide a temporary distraction," the dragon decided, its mana coalescing in its throat.
-Roar!
With a mighty roar, the dragon summoned four smaller, dark green dragons to its side. While not as imposing as Kamish, they formed a menacing presence.
Simultaneously, all five dragons opened their maws, gathering an overwhelming amount of magical energy.
Observing the concentration of power through his Sharingan, Sasuke prepared himself for the impending clash, his hands rapidly weaving hand seals.
"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" he exclaimed, unleashing a torrent of fire in response to the dragon's breath attack.
A deafening explosion ensued as the two fire attacks collided head-on, each vying for dominance.
"He counters our attack!" Kamish growled, his pride wounded by the unexpected resilience of his breath.
Undeterred, Kamish's neck bulged with pulsating veins as he poured more mana into his breath attack, determined to overpower Sasuke.
The dragon's breath managed to push back Sasuke's ninjutsu, its flames gradually inching closer to the young hunter.
Closing his left eye, Sasuke felt the immense pressure building within. Blood trickled from the closed eye as it prepared to unleash its ultimate power.
"Amaterasu," Sasuke whispered, his left Rinnegan eye fixated on the dragon's flames.
A dense curtain of inky black flames materialized, devouring the dragon's breath and hurtling toward its origin.
The five smaller dragons stared in disbelief as the flames consumed their own attack, their wide eyes witnessing this phenomenon for the first time.
In an instant, the relentless Amaterasu surged forward, engulfing the smaller dragons and reducing them to ash with searing intensity.
The dragons let out agonizing screams, their fiery forms plummeting from the sky, defeated by the unyielding flames.
