Valeria's POV 🎊
My eyes fluttered open to see everything around me looking white . The ceiling ,the walls and everything including the bed and it's sheets. For a second, I thought I was in heaven. But then I forced myself to look around again, when realisation hit me that I was in a hospital.
I freaking hate everything about hospitals.
Then I heard a sound of someone's voice like that of a female's .
"Oh sweetie you are awake!", She said happily.
"Mom"? . I couldn't find the strength to turn my head to her direction because I felt really weak. I was in pain and my body and head hurt a lot.
"Yes dear,oh sweetie thank goodness you're awake, are you alright? Do you feel pains anywhere?", She asked me so fast that I couldn't get to hear all her questions but I just slightly nodded.
Truly, my head aches a lot.
" Umm... sweetie I'm so sorry we couldn't protect you on your birthday night.Your birthday party should've been a special thing for you and that dumbass just destroyed it," she said as she began to shed tears. Taking a look at her face, you can see she had been crying a lot. She looked worried.
"Mom don't worry much I'll be ok ...", I weakly said convincing her and held her hand.
"If it wasn't for someone who saved your life that night,like we wouldn't have known what would have happened to you", she said worriedly as she placed her hand on top of mine .
"Mom stop blaming yourself okay , where is dad by the way," I asked her looking around in search of my dad.
"He was at the office having a little chat with both the cops and the doctor". "I've called him to inform him that you are awake now so he should bring the doctor along with him immediately to attend to you".
"Mom can you tell me what really happened to me which ended me up here?", I asked her curriously because I actually don't remember what really happened to me. My memory can't seem to recall any incident.
"Ohh sweetie I'm sorry to tell you that after the discussion we had at the party,and then after you stormed off, your dad and I couldn't find you again"." We didn't see Sylvia neither did we see Bennie". " So, we figured you might be with your friends outside or somewhere else. It was your birthday so we decided we should give you some privacy so you can do what you want to do that'll make you happy", she said feeling sad and worried at the same time.
"Hmm .. mom can I know who rescued me?", I said trying to recall but my head and my body ache like hell
"Sweetie so you don't remember?". "Oh no ," she said.
"I can't Mama", I said weakly.
"Jevan",the one who's going to take care of you while we are away. He's been so good to us."
"He rescued me? But why?", I said as mom looked down at me , kissed my forehead and caressed my hair not forgetting to be extra careful with the bandage on my head .
"He was the one who brought you here and stayed up the whole two days, day and night." "He told us he wanted to protect you and see to it that you are ok.". "He was more worried than we were which we clearly spotted by his actions." "The next thing we saw, he was shouting on top of his voice at anyone who crossed his way and also at the health workers here that they should work in speed because your life was in danger.
"He really looked pathetic at the moment which me cry even more". "We can't thank him enough",she said gratefully.
Oh no! Mr Annoying jerk face saved me and carried me here?! I can't believe what mom just said right now. The one I humiliated few weeks ago back at the restaurant?! . He saved me,... He saved my life? From what? And why did he do that..
"If you are wondering where he is now..., I just sacked him to go home ,freshen up and eat or else he's gonna get sick too". "Sure ! He hesitated at first but finally gave in ", she said and grinned.
As if I cared . He could have stayed here for all he cared and starve to death, it still wouldn't affect me in anyway. His just pretending to be good by putting up a show to just prove to my parents. Really?! what's his point anyway? .
