Chapter 3: Becomes Friend
"Testing, testing. Can you hear me, chat? I don't know if it working, hold on the second, ...Is it good? Loud and clear?"
"Yeah, it's clear." "I can hear you..."
"Good. I'm gonna check a few things before we start, okay?" Then, he opens his smartphone and replies to messages from his cousin, aunt, and old friend, Michael. Dealing with a few businesses when suddenly a voice comes from 'Discussion'.
"Hey, Kai. Are you streaming right now? Can I join you?" Rena speaks. Gamers and streamers, often use 'Discussion' as a place to communicate with each other. It can hold hundreds of users in one group, chat with words or turn on the mic to speak. Therefore, this platform is a great choice for communities to have a talk or just hang out.
"Oh hey, Cutie-pie. How come you know exactly when I streaming? Are you stalking me or something?"
"Tch, in your dream. I've just got a notification that tells me you are streaming right now, so I think, why not join you, then?" This man is quite clever. I have to be more careful. She thought.
"Haha, I'm joking. I know, I've got noti too when you're streaming but I have something to deal with. Yeah, you can join me." He takes Erika from school before streaming, that's why he cannot join her. Erika also kind of forced him to take her to a nearby convenience store to buy something to drink and a comic book titled Devourer, a story about a young man who possessed demon power after accidentally eating his finger, making him always hungry for blood. Meanwhile, Kai just wandered around to see if something catches his eye. Without any presence, someone taps on his shoulder and makes him turn around to see a pretty girl around the same age with black hair and blue turquoise eyes, complete with a light yellow blouse, standing behind him. Woah, what a pretty girl. But, why does it feels like she's similar to someone I know? He thought to himself. "Yes, how can I help you?" Because his parents always taught him to be polite towards women, he unconsciously asks her with politeness.
"Hi, if I may ask, Is your name Kai? You look like someone I have been searching for." Her voice is so gentle and filled with politeness, too. Having her as a girlfriend is truly like an angel standing next to you. Heaven, they said.
"Yes, that's me. Why?" Why is she wants to meet me? Wait, how long has she searching for me? Did I do something bad?" These kinds of thoughts keep wandering around his head.
"Ooh, thank you for always taking my little sister to school every day. I'm always busy with my work that there is no time for me to send her to school. Truly thank you." She bows her head a few times to show her sincerity. With that attitude and face, some men will kill themself to be with her.
...Her sister? Eh, I never met her before, how should I kn- "Wait, do you mean... Rina-chan? That shy girl?"
"Yes, she is! She told me a lot about you. She had never been this happy before, so when I ask her about her day, she always makes sure to include you. Oh, is that Erika-chan over there? Your little sister?" She points her finger to Erika that still looking for a snack at the end of the aisle.
"Wow, I never thought that Rina thinks highly of me, and yeah, she's my little sister. Erika, come here. There's someone who wants to meet you."
Erika, who is still looking around, turns her head to see what her brother calls her for. "Hm, is that... Ayaka-nee san?! *running* You're Rina-chan's big sister, right?! Ooh, you're really like she said, even prettier than in the photo!" She feels joy and excitement when she sees her like she just met her idol. When she and Rina went back home, Rina told her about her sister and even shows a picture of her with her sister. Since then, Erika always tried to meet her but never had a chance. This is a one-in-a-million chance and she will not waste it.
Ayaka, on the other hand, just realizes that she never properly introduces herself. Therefore, she quickly apologizes and introduces herself. Her full name is Miyamoto Ayaka, the eldest child in the family and also the head of the house since both her parents is gone missing when they went overseas to some meeting. Since then, it has been her job to make sure that her sister is safe and happy while also keeping the traditions of her family not lost in vain. She is 23 and currently working as a personal assistant to the CEO of Sakura Light company. Lucky for her as the CEO is a woman with a kind heart and not some old fat bastard.
Then, Kai introduces himself, too. Sasaki Kai is his full name, have one little sister who he's been taking care of for the past two years since the death of their parents, works as a full-time streamer, and lives in a normal family. He is also 24 years old, a year older than Ayaka.
These two talk for a few minutes, exchange numbers for convenient purposes, and then part away after paying for the items. Erika who witnesses everything starts teasing her brother. "Waaah, I drag you here to buy me something and you got yourself a woman AND her number. Your friends will surely be jealous if they know this. Hehehe!"
"Shut up. We exchange numbers for convenient purposes only to keep updated about Rina-chan whenever she hangs out with us. With that appearance, I'm not even worthy to talk to her."
"Whatever you say, big bro. If one day in the future you two end up together, I have to be the first person to know and I want a thousand dollars."
"Whaa...!"
Little did she knows that she just makes an easy thousand dollars.
