Chapter 6: Chapter 06 : Arrival
Of course, I know who he is.
"Longbottom"
The boy was shocked when I called his name. Neville was quite popular among the pure-blood children, mainly because of his stupidity and his grandmother's overprotectiveness of him.
"S-sorry, but Have you seen a toad? I lost mine."
"Perhaps, it jumped off the train," I said coldly.
"N-no" Neville was almost crying.
"Hey, stop it." Hermione interrupted. "I will help you to find your toad," she said glaring at me.
I shrugged my shoulders. "whatever"
"Thank you. Thank you" Neville said and Hermione got up to leave with him.
"If I were you I would change into a robe. We are going to arrive in an hour or so." I said getting up."Go and wait outside." I said to Neville and walked through the corridor. I was looking for my 'precious' friends when I heard a voice.
"Malfoy"
There they were Crabbe and Goyle. They walked to me in hurry.
" Where were you? We were looking for you." Crabbe said. "Have you heard? Harry Potter in this train."
"Hmm well then boys, we should give him a warm welcome," I said. We walked looking for Harry's compartment and finally found him with Ron. I opened the compartment door and there was the boy I met in Madam Malkin's shop, Harry Potter.
"So, you are the Harry Potter."
"Yes," Harry replied.
"This is Crabbe and this is Goyle." I said pointing at each of them." And I am Malfoy, Draco Malfoy."
Ron slightly coughed hiding his sneer. Even though it didn't bother me I decided to act a little arrogant.
"Thinking my name is funny, Weasley. Must be hard to afford to come to Hogwarts. Want some Knuts?" I said mockingly.
Ron instantly turned red and both Ron and Harry stood up.
"You need to leave, Malfoy," Harry said. Looked like he got some confidence after knowing he was the savior of the wizarding world.
"What if we don't?"
"What can you do?"
Both Harry and Ron became silent. They know they can't fight us. Then a sudden voice came.
"What's going on here?"
It was none other than Hermione. Since I didn't want to be here anymore I decided to leave.
"You need to be more careful, Potter" I said coldly "Let's go boys."

General pov
"What happened?" Hermione asked watching Malfoy leave.
"What happened? What happened is Malfoy threatened us." Ron said angrily. "I know about their family. They are all followers of You-Know-Who. They said they were bewitched but when the war ended. But my dad said Malfoy's father doesn't need a reason to go over the dark side."
"Come on, he can't be that bad," Hermione said thinking Draco was quite nice to her. She was even planning to make him her first friend in Hogwarts but then she remembered how he treated Neville acting mean. After lessening to Ron she started to rethink it.
"Can we help you with something" Ron's voice broke her chain of thoughts.
"You'd better hurry up and put your robes on. We are nearly there."

After we arrived at Hogsmeade I left the train with Crabbe and Goyle. We were escorted by Hagrid and after a wonderful journey with boats, We reached the castle. But being frozen in the middle of the lake was worth it as we were able to see the majestic castle of Hogwarts for the first time. It was quite beautiful.
Professor McGonagall was in front of the castle door welcoming new students. Then she took the lead and brought us into an empty chamber. One could hear the voices of other students. Professor McGonagall explained about houses and stuff and left the curious and amazed new students.
"Draco, I didn't see you on the train." I recognized that voice, after all, there was only one person who called me by my first name other than my family.
"Hey, Pansy" I looked at the girl walking over to me. She was quite a beautiful short black haired girl. She had visited our mansion few times since we were kids. She was also quite fond of me.
"Are you excited to get sorted?" She asked.
"Come on, We both know which house we are going to be."
"True"
At that moment McGonagall came back and lead us to the Great Hall. There was it, the infamous Sorting Hat.
"When I call your name, you will put on the hat and sit on the stool to be sorted."
"Abbott, Hannah"

The list went on and Hermione sorted into Gryffindor along with Neville.
"Malfoy, Draco" Finally, it was my time.
I walked over and sat on the stool. As soon as the hat touched my head it shouted "Slytherin."

I joined the Slytherin table while they are clapping.
"Welcome to the Slytherin, heir Malfoy." Slytherin male prefect said shaking hands with me.
"Thank you."
After a while, Pansy joined us.
"That went well," She said sitting next to me.
"Like I said there are surprises."
"Which house do you think Potter going to end up?" Pansy asked.
"Gryffindor probably."
"Why? he would make a fine Slytherin though."
"He is already friends with Weasleys and considering his parent's house he is definitely going to be a Gryffindor," I said to Pansy.
"Potter, Harry." Suddenly entire hall become silent and broke into loud whispers. He awkwardly went to the stool and McGonagall put the hat on his head. A few minutes passed and I could see Harry talking with the hat. Then the hat shouted.
"Gryffindor,"
All the people clapped and cheered in Gryffindor and Harry sat at the Gryffindor table. After the other three people got sorted Professor McGonagall rolled up her scroll and took the sorting hat away. Crabbe, Goyle, Blaise Zabini, Theodore Nott, and Daphne Greengrass were sorted into Slytherin which was not a surprise considering they are all pure-bloods and other than Greengrass their parent were Voldemort's followers.
