Chapter 13: Slaying the Flame Protector
He didn't stop there. By taking advantage of the wolves' brief stop he stabbed the one who flew at him earlier wiping -500 of its HP. By then the two other wolves have lost about -300 each of their HP...
The wolves recovered themselves and charged at him once more. He equipped the common sword and stabbed it at the wolf charging from behind, accurately stabbing its mouth. The sword pierced its throat and remained stuck in its mouth as it struggled to remove it.
Xuan Yuan on the other hand chopped two times and sent two sword lights flying at the two other wolves.
He flashed and appeared in front of the Wolf struggling to remove the sword.
Seeing Xuan Yuan coming for it, it abandoned struggling and swiped a claw at Xuan Yuan instead. Xuan Yuan dodged to the side and removed the sword stuck in its throat. Just when the wolf was feeling relieved, Xuan Yuan stabbed both swords into his neck and chopped it off its head.

A frightening damage as its HP bar cleared immediately.
In the Realm of spirituality, vital damages are usually more than ordinary ones. But for successfully chopping its head, it died immediately. Otherwise, it'd be ridiculous to fight a headless wolf.
This exchange only took about three seconds, the time it took the other two wolves to recover themselves.
Xuan Yuan charged at them and dodged their claw strike as he slashed with both swords sending the wolves forward by about 5 steps.
After fighting for two more minutes, he managed to slay the other wolves looting a black cloak and two Level 15 common daggers...
After fighting nonstop for half an hour, he eventually at a hall that was the size of a volleyball court. At the far end of the hall, a crimson ball of Flame sat on a crimson altar. A figure wielding a Flaming red staff stood in front of it silently guarding the Flame.

In the Realm of spirituality, Common and Warrior rank monsters are Tier 0. Elites are Tier 1. Normally, Elite bosses have their names mentioned.
Xuan Yuan gulped nervously as he looked at the Flame protector. This is a Tier 1 Humanoid monster! Apart from level difference, just Tier difference is enough to overwhelm him completely! This was his first time fighting a Tier 1 monster, and even his Skills do not give him enough confidence that he'll win this fight.
Currently he's level 14, just one more level he'd have unlocked a new skill. He'd have more confidence to fight then.
But since he doesn't have it. He'd have to try and fight. If he wins, fine. If he loses and die, he'd grow stronger and return to castrate his Father!...
Xuan Yuan walked forward, sword in hand like a valiant hero and stopped 5 meters away. Immediately the boss woke up from his slumber and glanced threateningly at Xuan Yuan before him.
"Intruder!! Die!" Wylie shouted and waved his staff.
<Fireball>
A ball of flame flew at Xuan Yuan immediately. Xuan Yuan parried the strike and was sent flying 10 metres back with only 30% HP left.
"FUCK!! Just a Tier 0 spell and he almost claimed my life, if he executes a Tier 1 spell, I'd be fried!" Xuan Yuan gulped loudly and glanced at his arm which was trembling...
He stood up immediately and walked a few steps forward.
"Stinky brat, you're not dead yet?" The Flame protector was surprised "Seems like you have some decent skills after all"
Wylie raised his staff again and a flame tornado blew out at Xuan Yuan.
<Tier 1 spell, Flame tornado>
Xuan Yuan watched as the tornado blew closer and closer to him. He knew with his 30% HP left, he can't survive the spell. As such he roared as a red glow surrounded him and his aura grew sharply.

His body was surrounded by a Red glow and his sword also emanated a Fiery aura as it became more powerful.
Xuan Yuan raised his sword and slashed at the tornado which was just half a metre away from him. A sword light flew out and bisected the tornado before flying at the unprepared Wylie who was sent stumbling backwards with a -400 HP floating above him.
Xuan Yuan shouted and executed <wind blade>. His movement speed which was already higher than a Swordman of the same level was doubled at the moment as he charged at Wylie at the speed of sound.
Wylie on the other hand still couldn't wrap his head on how a Level 14 Tier 0 Player suddenly became so strong. But he still managed to cast a wall of fire to shield himself. But Xuan Yuan didn't spare him, he directly destroyed the wall and began stabbing, chopping and slashing at the helpless Wylie...
As the 30 seconds duration of the skill was nearing its end, he began stabbing the Boss' vital parts whose HP decreased at a frightening rate until he finally fell to the sword of the ruthless Xuan Yuan.
Xuan Yuan panted heavily as the glows that surrounded him dimmed gradually before disappearing. At that time, Wylie's corpse laid quietly among the bunch of the loots he dropped on death.
Also, he gained one more level and reached level 15 unlocking another skill.
