Chapter 16: Another unexpected meeting , how many more will there be? - 6th chapter vol. 2
The people around me were giving me weird looks.
I know that it's because of the Vanishing Cloak, it just makes me it seem like I am invisible from time to time but I don't have anything else.
I wanted to go to the market to buy some other hood , but they have different kind of currency here than in the Overworld. I could've stolen something but the shops were really secured compared to the Overworld , which means no stealing for me unfortunately.
I made my way to the front of the palace/castle or whatever this is , it definitely doesn't look like a castle nor palace from Earth.
I went in front of the palace , and tried a direct approach , there were 20 guards which seemed like a lot to me , these guys are D Grade. That's pretty insane if I am being honest. I could win , of course I could but imagine how strong the king is if these guys are his guards.
Well so far I am just assuming that the King is the Boss , cuz it would make sense, but you can never know.
I approached the guards. And the one who seemed like their captain spoke to me , this guy was C- Grade.
Guard Captain - "Hey who are you what do you think you're doing in front of the King's palace?!!"
Me - "I have a bussiness with your king , it would make it easier for both of us if you let me in."
"Sure you can meet the King , but you need a prove that you need to talk to him." He answered.
"I did have a letter from King himself , but on my way here I got attacked by bandits in the woods."
"In the woods? Wait are you the messenger from Squirell Academy?"
"Yes"
I have absolutely no clue what is he talking about, but it seems that they expected some kind of a messenger from Squirell Kingdom? What the hell is that name? Well anyways it seems I got lucky.
"The woods are full of bandits , I am pretty sure that they were supposed to send someone who can fight them of."
"I did , but they were targeting the things I was carrying not me , and that's how they stole the letter."
"Alright , come in , I will accompanny you."
The Guard Captain showed me the way to the king and asked me: "So what will you be discussing with the king?"
"I am not supposed to talk about details until I meet with the king."
[Hostile enemy right behind you]
"I KNEW IT!!!" He screamed as he unsheated his sword and attacked me.
We started fighting , and I asked him - "How did you find out , did you have some kind of a secret message that I was supposed to say?"
"Yes , exactly."
"Then why didn't you ask it when we were outside? You would've actually stood a chance against me."
"I sensed right away that you're stronger than I am , so I brought you here for a single reason. And that is to fight her!"
Her? What is he talking about?
[Another enemy showed up in the Area]
We were in a hall , and I couldn't see anyone in front of me , which means she has to be BEHIND. I turned around and saw a beautiful woman with white hair.
Hold on , she looks like a human... is she a player? Then why did I receive a message about an ENEMY in the Area and not a PLAYER? What's going on here.
I asked her straight away without hesitation - "HEY YOU , ARE YOU A PLAYER!?"
She stared at me and asked - "Player? Wait a minute,are you a player too?"
I pulled down my hood , when she saw my face she got a really happy look on her face. Then she started crying out of happiness. I got confused AF , what's going on? I saw her name and rank above her head.

Oh my goodness , her rank is even higher than mine.
Wait a minute her title , it's only Visitor not Explorer , does that mean that this is the only level she's been to so far?
"What is going on? There is another?" The Guard Captain asked.
"Yes , it seems so , there's actually a lot more of us but not in this world right now." Akemi said.
I have no idea what is going on but she just asked me to follow her , we entered her chamber.
"Finally I met someone who is human just like me!!!"
She screamed happily.
"How long were you here for?"
"The very first day that we got into Overworld I got sent here , I almost died because Well , I was weak but then the palace took me in. At that point I was already an E Rank and all I want to do is to get out of here no matter what , what about you? And also why do you have the Explorer Title and Also what's your name?"
She started showering me with questions then calmed down a little bit. After a short while she continued.
"I am sorry , it's just , this is my first time meeting a human after we got sent here , so yeah I am very excited of course."
"No problem , I'll tell you everything , first of all let's introduce ourselves. My name is Majo Jurky call me Majo, I am from Slovakia and I am 15 years old."
"My name is Akemi Nakano, I am from Japan call me Akemi please. Also I am 19 years old. And by the way you don't look like a 15 year old at all."
"Yeah I get that a lot. Well let me tell you about everything."
I told her pretty much everything what happened after I got here in the Backrooms. The thing that shocked her the most was of course the fact that I fought alongside a Goblin (Ratbag).
"WHAT?! YOU FOUGHT ALONGSIDE A GOBLIN?"
"I told you , this guy was something else , he wasn't stupid or primitive like other goblins , he was intelligent."
"What happened to him?"
"I don't know , he's in some kind of other level , pretty much after we cleared Level 0 I got sent into Level 0.5 and he got sent into another one."
"I wonder why did I appear here right away. And not in Level 0."
"I guess it's random , after all I got here too after clearing level 0.5 , I wonder how many more people are stuck in the Backrooms."
"Yes but if it's random what are the chances that you started at the very first Level?"
"Maybe it's not even the first level , I was in Level 0.5 which is not an Integer number , that could mean that there are also Levels with a negative number."
(Note: Integer number is any number that doesn't have fractional parts.
For ex.
Integer number: 1 ,6 ,273 , 0
Non Integer number: -9.3 , 6.1 , 34.824)
"Yeah that could be true , also you said something about defeating the boss , and I did receive messages about it but where is it?"
"I thought the boss was the king?"
"No , the king is only a C- Grade."
"In that case we will have to search around this palace."
We searched around and couldn't find much , but the palace was huge and we barely explored like a fifth of it. After we couldn't find any leads we told ourselves that we'd gather information from the maids and butlers in the palace.
And guess what , FINALLY AFTER I DON'T EVEN WANNA KNOW HOW LONG , I bathed. Felt absolutely glorious after it , I hope this won't be the last time.
Honestly I'd even stay in this palace but no , I can't forget what I came here for. I have to avenge my mother....
Few hours after my arrival the sun started setting. There is a tradition in this kingdom that the families don't have to eat breakfast nor lunch together , but on dinner time they all sit together eat and talk about their day.
And if you ask me , I think that's pretty sweet. With that said , the butlers gave me a different clothing and put my dirty clothes in the washing machine. I looked a little bit too elegant for my personality.
Somehow , my Vanishing Cloak wasn't dirty at all. I asked Mia about it and she told me she doesn't know the reason yet.
We had a dinner with the royal family , the King is really curious about us humans , and the reason why Akemi can stay here is information about us humans.
The royal family consisted of The King , The Queen , The Princess and The Prince.
From our conversation I didn't really learn anything new about their race cuz Akemi already told me everything they did.
But I could tell what kind of people they were.
The King - An intelligent and curious man , he is always out for more and more and more knowledge.
The Queen - A very kind person , and also very beautiful.
The Prince - A handsome guy if I am being honest , but he acts too cocky , and it's just in front of me. I wonder if he has crush on Akemi.
The Princess - A shy but kind person aswell , she kept looking at me from time to time and blushed whenever I looked at her. I think you guys know where I am going with this.
I am not sure if this information will be important , but I'll keep it in my mind.
After the dinner , which was quite delicious btw , me and Akemi went to sleep , well , we almost didn't sleep at all tho because we just kept talking to eachother about everything that happened to us since we came here.
I think I like her , ehm anyways , we shared the same room , it was REALLY weird because there was only one double bed but well yeah , somehow I fell asleep.

This woke me up , the boss is close I have to go and see him myself...
