Chapter 18: Boss Fight - Majo and Akemi vs MurderKill 8th Chapter Vol. 2

MurderKill just kept hitting us, he's really too fast, but that's okay , soon enough I'll my speed will become equal to his and then I'll use my Focus Necklace.

[WARNING HEALTH DROPPED BELOW 50%]

At this point I was able to get a hit in but he's still faster than me. I haven't mentioned this yet but Akemi's weapon is a long thin light longsword. She told me that it's a C Grade weapon , I wonder what is so special about it.

I told Akemi about my Berserker Ring before our fight and just told her to let me tank most of the hits. I'll become faster as the time goes on.

She told me about a relic that she received aswell , well she has two relics too. The first one is a spectral bow which she can manifest out of nowhere , the bow's quality is equivalent to a B Grade bow and she's got infinite amount of arrows while shooting from it.

The thing is she can only manifest it for one minute every few hours. And her second relic is a Regeneration Ring which as the name suggests helps her regenerate much faster than an average human would.

So our strategy is quite simple. I'll get hit more and more and when I'll be on par with MurderKill in speed I'll use my Necklace and Akemi will use her Spectral Bow.

I actually saw her bow the first time we met , she was aiming it at me , if I didn't show my face she would have definitely shot me.

Just a little bit longer , I am already almost as fast as MurderKill is.

I touched my necklace which is by the way the requirement for it to activate , when Akemi saw this she instantly pulled out her Bow and now things were starting to get serious.

I managed to get a number of hits on MurderKill and two of them were Critical Strikes too. My Focus ran out which means that I'll no longer be able to use it for the rest of the fight.

Akemi still had her bow activated and kept shooting at MurderKill , he was barely dodging it. But when her bow ran out , things got serious.

"I wasn't wrong afterall , you guys are strong , allright if that's the case I shall show you my true strenght."

MurderKill said this as he unsheated his Katana. The moment he did it I could feel that this is no ordinary Katana. There was a black aura around it.

"Mia what is that weapon?"

[It's a weapon which has aura which means only one thing... it's atleast an A Grade Katana]

Holy shit man , an A Grade weapon , this will get seriously dangerous , thankfully I still have an ace up my sleeve too.

Throughout this entire fight I haven't used Light nor Shadow , I am waiting for a surprise to blind him with my Light , and I'll attempt to finish him off with my Shadow if everything goes well.

He pointed his sword at me and I instinctively dodged to the side , and it's a good thing that I did. Somehow the exact point that MurderKill pointed to with his sword exploded , it wasn't a big explosion but if I didn't dodge I'd have been a goner.

I quickly came to Akemi and told her - "His sword has a special ability which let's him explode whatever he points to , I have no idea how it works but we have to deal with it , so keep it in mind."

Then I started fighting MurderKill with my daggers. The fight was completely even but thanks to Akemi we were turning things around. And just when it seemed that we're going to kill him he surprised us.

MurderKill jumped into the air and commited seppuku with his katana. After he did it the aura around the sword dissapeared and it appeared around him instead. The sword shattered shortly after.

Oh my goodness , whenever I think that it's over I get surprised , all the time. He's literally an S- Grade right now , I really don't want to die here but that might happen.

"By doing this , I'll not live for long but I'll be much stronger , my only goal is to kill you before I die myself." He said this as he started laughing as a complete maniac. I thought he lost it before our fight , but now I can confidently say that he has actually lost his goddamn mind.

And swoosh , I couldn't see his movements at all , I kept trying to tank the shots for Akemi.

[WARNING HEALTH DROPPED BELOW 20%]

[WARNING HEALTH DROPPED BELOW 10%]

I am at a VERY low health , my Critical Strike has a 100% chance but what am I supposed to do? I am still slower than him , is this it?

There's still one thing I have , well two actually. Light and Shadow.

"LIGHT!!!" I screamed it out loud.

The Light was effective , he stopped and started screaming and holding his head.

"MAKE IT STOP MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!"

The Light had a huge effect on him , it might be because he's so used to the dark , afterall it's pretty dark here in the prison.

Akemi took this chance and screamed something , I couldn't hear what she was saying but her sword started glowing with bright blue color , the same color her Spectral Bow has.

She managed to connect a hit on MurderKill and then a huge explosion happened , I assume that this is the ability of her sword. Well at any rate I don't remember anything that happened after , I passed out. The only thing I remember before passing out was getting a lot of messages , once again as always.

[LEVEL 48 BOSS DEFEATED]

[LEVEL UP]

(Several hours later)

I woke up in ... where am I?

"Mia is this the next level?"

[No , somehow you are still at the Level 48. You and Akemi did manage to defeat the boss but somehow you're still here , maybe there are more requirements to pass this Level]

"More requirements? Like what?"

[I'll try to find that out]

Well this is pretty crappy , what exactly am I supposed to do? I have no idea how long have I been asleep and also ... where's Akemi?

"Hey Mia where's Akemi?"

[After the explosion you got separated , the entire prison collapsed , you're still in it. I assume she's somewhere in the area , also one more thing. You probably noticed this , but the first time you met Akemi I didn't give you the message about another player in the area. That's because I didn't know , it has to do something with the fact that we're in this dimension]

Well , I'll have to find her in any case.

"HEY IS ANYONE DOWN HERE?"

This voice ... , IT'S THE KING! I am going to confront him right now , WHAT THE HELL DOES HE THINK HE'S DOING? I have to find out about MurderKill , what happened to him , how did this prison get created? What is the true secret behind the Royal Family?

I have to find out , maybe that's the key to getting to the next level , who knows.
