Chapter 8: First week
Valen POV
Date: 2nd September 1972
Location:Hogwarts
"Good morning children today we will learn how to cast the simple illuminating charm"said the short man and the head of my house.
"The words to use the charm is Lumos and to deactivate Nox." he said clearly as he demonstrated with a mild light permeating from his wand.
"Now follow exactly as I done as I walk around assisting".
'Might aswell show off again'
I cast the spell wordless and as the professor was still at the front row he stood amazed.
"Excellent Mr. Evans 5 points for casting the charm so brilliantly and a further 10 for doing it without words to Ravenclaw" he said loudly as he class looked at me with my fellow Ravens smiling.
'why not get some more points huh'
I then decided to change the colours of the spell switching from Ravenclaw blue to red to yellow.
This dazzled the professor further as he decided to give me another 5 points for mastery of the spell.
"Don't be to arrogant though Mr. Evans there is still much to learn"
I replied with a simple "Of course Professor " as he was right and I wouldn't get conceited now.
I then continued to help my classmates both Raveclaw and Hufflepuff alike as I saw no rivalry between them this gaining me another 5 points.

Valen POV continued...
Later that day
Location: Professor Slughorn's classroom.
"Ahh Mr. Evans I expect great things from you, your sister Miss. Evans is a prodigy in potions aswell as your friend Mr. Prince they have told me much about you in our Slug club meetings". he proudly spoke.
"I see thank you for the kind words professor I hope to live up to your expectations" I said softly with fakest possible smile on my face.
'Damn what a pedo I would definitely mock him it wasn't for the fact I like potions and am pretty good at them'
That lesson me and Olivia made a perfect boil potion and much to our dismay we were invited to attend the weirdos Slug club.

Valen POV
Location: Great hall
Time: Dinner
"Hey Sis wanna sit together, I invited Severus but as always he's busy with something"
"Let me guess something about potions or the other". She questioned.
"Yes ma'am". I regretted rolling my eyes.
"So how was you first couple of days you miss Mum or dad or sister Petunia", she said while smirking.
"Mum,Dad yes I wrote to them yesterday and for Petunia please she's jealous and the most irritating only second to James". I retorted.
"He is irritating isn't he last time he tried hex me with a balding curse" she said while laughing.
"That isn't funny you know shall I go beat him up you know the MMA comes in handy at times like this", I said while cracking my knuckles grinning while glaring at that Potter bastard.
"Oooo my own protective little gremlin I haven't seen that face in a while", she teased .
"Says you I'm already taller then you what happened to girls get their growth spurt first", I quipped back as a visible pout formed on her face as she began murmuring to herself while drawing circles with her finger on the table sulking.
And as I was enjoying my food the mos hated current Gryffindor deemed worthy of using my holy powers of exorcism by death on walked to our table with Sirius following suit.
"Hello Valen, Lily mind if we sit with you?", he questioned.
"Depends will you try to hex my sister again", I retorted once again cracking my knuckles.
To which Lily smirked.
"I'd have you know I only attempted she actually cast it on me I had to wear a hat for a whole day", claimed James.
"Very well but silently then, my sister and I wish to eat in piece".
"Last question then", Sirius interrupted as usual and has been for the past days.
"Why have all the girls of Hogwarts star calling you marriage candidate number one and waking up early morning to hide in the bushes near the black lake".
"Marriage candidate number one no idea but I did notice some people staring at me while I train in the morning just ignored it though".
"And what does this training entail exactly if it deems you worthy of all the girls attention in Hogwarts?" Sirius questioned.
"Nothing much a run or swim around the Black Lake push ups, pull ups, sit ups you know the basics."
"You moron don't tell me you do it like you did back home!" exclaimed Lily.
"Well yeah how else can I swim?", I asked.
"What you on about Lily", asked James clearly intrigued.
"Lets just say how you swim in a pool is how my brother swims I'm guessing while also doing so while running"
"WHAT seriously you run around the Black lake half naked and the girls actually enjoy that, what the hell man you a Veela or something?"
"No obviously no to the Veela thing and it doesn't really matter to me if girls look"
"Why you into lads or something? Sirius said sarcastically.
"Nah just got my eyes set on someone", I spoke clearly and blatantly.
"WHATTTTTT?",is all I heard from Lily, James, Sirius and even Remus joined this time.
