Chapter 2: WHY TORTOISE HAS A CRACKED SHELL CHAPTER ONE
Long time ago, in the land, and time when the animals rules the earth, lived tortoise also known as Mr. Cunning because he was never truthful in his dealings. He lived amongst other animals like, zebra (the hunter),lion (the king of the animals) his wife leopard etc.
CHAPTER TWO
There was a certain time when all the animals do go to farm for bountiful harvest. When the time drew near,Mr. cunning has programmed all what he would do that day.
Then, the awaited day arrived, all the land was busy with animals running Helter skelter, doing one thing or the other in order to make that day a memory in their lives. The old were busy harvesting, while the kids were arranging and transporting the harvest home. All the animals of Zuma kingdom were happy because, that time of the year was a very blessed one in history.
CHAPTER THREE
While everything were taking place, Tortoise was busy stealing from the farm produce that were at home. He would go Sneak into his neighbours house and Steal from the harvest.
He continued stealing from them till his house was full. When he realized that there was no more space in his house to contain the product he stopped and sat comfortably to eat. He ate to his satisfaction him and his household he ever invited his friends to come join him celebrate that the lord has blessed him that year his neighbors came to celebrate with him also, they all ate to their satisfactions some animals also took some with them while they were going home.
Unknown to Mr. tortoise the stolen food has gone down to the lowest level, the remaining was Just a little thing to consume the following day.
CHAPTER FOUR
The following day tortoise and his family went about begging for food from the other animals. They all refuse to give him because he was never truthful in his dealings, and they all said that harvest was yesterday and now he had come to them for food that when he was Celebrating, he should have kept some instead he lavished all and now he is begging them for help, they said that they won't help him because they don't have enough to cater for them and their families. Mr. tortoise left in shame and went to visit his closet friend pig who is known as "Greed" because he is never satisfied with what he has.
CHAPTER FIVE
Mr. Greed said that he can't help him but has something for him. He went inside and brought out a long book.
Mr. Tortoise gave out a frown but piggy was not concerned about it. He told him that there was a child dedication that would be taking place in the sky and the sponsor of the occasion is the supreme adviser to the god of the skies. And the person is eagle he also said that all the bird of the skies would be donating feathers to all the animals creeping on the surface of the earth whether young or Old that none would be left out that day because he want every animals to attend the ceremony.
Mr. greed also said that Mr. eagle said they would be plenty of food and drinks that would go round the earth three times that they shouldn't worry about feeding. After listening to all that piggy said, tortoise beam with smile and said exclaimed "WOW" that's nice.
He ran home and passed the information to his households and families, he summon all of them to come stay at his place and be preparing for the forth coming journey to the sky. he began making arrangements from that day inorder not be taken unawares.
Mr. tortoise went and paid a visit to the king (lion), he told the king about the achievement and said it would be better if the king would call a meeting for all the animals inorder to choose a name for each household that it would make it very easy for him and every member of the kingdom.
CHAPTER SIX
The reason behind tortoise going to visit the king was for him to successfully carry out his cunning plans. Because he thought "if only the king could support his plans he would be able to carry out his plans".
The king called in the messenger " cheetah" and told her to go and pass the information to the inhabitants of the land that the king want a meeting with them, that, they should stop whatever they are doing and rush to the palace. Cheetah ran as fast as she could and passed the information to the people. In a twinkle of an eye all the animals are already gathered at the palace waiting for the king to arrive.
The king appeared and all the animals stood up in reverence to the king , the king signaled them to sit after which he told them the reason behind him calling the meeting. All the animals agreed to his suggestion and all the animals were accorded a name signifying each household e.g Mr. tortoise chose a name for him and his households which is " all of you". Others were given a specific name and they all went home happily.
CHAPTER SEVEN
A day to the D-Day all the clouds were filled with birds each bird assigned to attend to each household. The creator assigned three birds to each household for the feather donation after all the animals on earth has gotten their feathers, all the birds return to the sky.
The following morning all the animals flew to the king's palace because that's the place where they would start the journey to the sky. All the animals gathered according to their names and households, then the messenger blew the whistle and the sky were filled with animals making their journey to the ceremony taking place in the sky.
They all arrived successfully and were given heavy welcoming refreshments they all ate to their satisfaction and were ordered to go take their bath in the largest river in the sky all the animals went there and had a wonderful bath after which they all returned and went to bed.
During the night Mr. tortoise and his family had a meeting they discussed about them having all the occasion in their hands and taking over everything he said that he chose the name " all of you" because when food is served they would be instructed that this food is for "all of you" so he would use that opportunity to seized the food and restrict other animals from eating it.
They all congratulated him that that was the wisest decision ever. after which they all went to bed and dozed off.
CHAPTER EIGHT
The next morning all the animals gathered in the arena where the event would be happening they were highly anticipated about what would happen that day. When it was time for refreshments the waiter came with the food and said this food is for "all of you".
Immediately tortoise stood and said hey guys did you hear what the waiter said? This food is for " all of you" that's me and my family. After saying that his households pounced on the food and ate everything. All the animals were very angry but couldn't say or do anything.
The following day same thing happened, the day after same thing happened after the ceremony was over all the animals flew back to Earth remaining tortoise and his households because the birds collected their wings from them after hearing all that happened.
Tortoise begged piggy that when he reaches earth he should help him pack out all the soft materials in his house that they would be jumping down from the sky. Pig went to his house and packed out all the hard materials in the house and scattered them outside because of what tortoise did to them back then in the sky.
So after tortoise got information that he could jump down now, him and his households jumped down from the sky and landed on the hard materials in his compound due to the force from the sky all the shell got shattered and broken in all kinds of pieces that medicals tried arranging them back but all to no avail.
That's why, up to this time tortoise has a cracked shell.
