Chapter 2: Hyuga Estate

Ring

"Mm~"

The alarm clock rang in its full glory, Boruto slowly opened his eyes, he was dead tired, in these past weeks all he has been doing was training and training.

He rolled over his bed and stood up on the wooden floor, with a sleepy yawn, he rubbed his eyes made his way toward the bathroom to complete the morning necessities.

Boruto made his way back downstairs toward the living hall, he spotted Hinata knitting a scarf and Naruto arranging the dishes.

"Ah, Boruto! Get ready, and make it quick. We're going to your grandpa's place"

The younger Uzumaki nodded and went to his room, getting properly dressed up, Boruto, along with Hinata, Hima and Naruto made their way toward the Hyuga estate.

[30 Minutes]

The Uzumaki family reached their destination, handing Hima over to Naruto, the Hyuga Princess rang the bell at the main door.

*Ding*

Footsteps were heard, and it was getting closer and quicker.

"Coming!"

A feminine voice came from the other side, the gate opened to reveal a gorgeous young lady in her late teens.

She had brown hair that reached till her waist, her eyes white and pure. The atmosphere around her was positive to the core.

A big smile blossomed on her face as she saw her sister, she lunged herself at Hinata.

"Big sis!"

Hanabi exclaimed as she pulled Hinata into a tight hug, even though they live close, Hinata rarely visited the Hyuga estate.

Exchanging a bit of small talk, Hanabi lead them inside the estate to a room. They sat down on the floor with a waist-level table in front of them.

"Boruto, sit here... your mom needs some privacy with her father"

Hinata walked off toward a specific room, Boruto nodded and sat near Naruto.

In a flash, Hanabi appeared right beside him, chills ran through his back at the display of speed.

"He~Yo~ Boruto. My name's Hanabi, you can call me Big sis Hanabi... ok?"

Her charismatic smile gave off a peaceful vibe, and Boruto smiled slightly at that. Hanabi asked questions about his daily life, which he answered casually.

"So~ What do you do in your free time, like any hobbies or anything?"

Hanabi asked whilst pouring a cup of green tea for both Naruto and Boruto. The blonde pondered for a bit.

"I like... um~... I guess, training and combat?"

Boruto replied, his face innocent. Hanabi grew puzzled at his answer, she instinctively shot a glance toward Naruto.

Naruto shook his head claiming he had no claim in the current situation at hand. Although he strongly had.

Hanabi cleared her throat, gaining the attention of Boruto.

"Why training and fighting? You're three... Do you have some reason to like it?... Like, do you want to become Hokage or something?"

Naruto was also curious, to say the least, he had wanted to ask about his objectives and reasons for such a request, but chose to keep it for the future.

"... I don't know, I just like it... Is it weird?"

His stomach twisted as he lied. It was wrong... So why did he? He had no idea, but he decided to trust his instincts.

"No! No No No No, it isn't weird at all, in fact, I was the same as you, I 'Loved' fighting!"

Cold sweat ran down her forehead remembering her past, those ruthless ways of training, that strict discipline that forged her current existence.

"Huh? you did? I thought you liked to laze all day long lying on the grass"

Naruto expressed his thoughts, Hanabi shook her head, she got up, and went toward one of the rooms.

Knock.

"Can we come in big sis? Boruto said he wants to see father"

'When did I say that?'

Hanabi sheepishly smiled at Boruto. Naruto patted his shoulder with a sigh.

"Come inside, Let me see my grandson"

An aged voice echoed from the opposite side of the door. Hanabi waved her hands gesturing for both Naruto and Boruto to enter.

Hanabi slid open the door.

"We're coming"

Hanabi informed before entering the room, the pair of father and son also following behind. Hiashi was sitting in front of a small table.

The aged man's eyes quickly fell on Boruto's, Hiashi's eyes narrowed at him, Boruto noticed his gaze and returned it back.

'He is a strong one'

The Hyuga patriarch thought, the kid's eyes were non like he's seen before, they held and carried a strong resolve in them.

Inspecting the young lad further, a warm smile spread across his face. His heart melted looking at the puffy cheeks and baby-blue eyes.

"Come here"

His voice was soothing to the ear, Boruto walked forward without his consciousness, his body just moved without a trace of thought.

Before he knew it, he was embracing his grandfather in a hug. Boruto was snapped back to reality as Hiashi tightened his hug.

"G-Grandpa, I-I'm suff-...ocating"

Boruto was somehow able to squeeze out those words, Hanabi quickly rushed and separated them.

"Father! Do you want your grandchild to hate you!?"

Hanabi shot a firm glance toward Hiashi, his face became pale thinking about how Boruto would view him from now on.

"No! I was just too happy to hold back"

Hanabi ignored him, she kept Boruto in her embrace. Boruto's breathing stabilized, the color in his face returning.

"C'mon Hanabi, Father wouldn't purposely hurt Boruto"

Naruto tried to reason with her only to get ignored, meanwhile, Hinata was suppressing her giggles.

"Looks like Boruto's got an overprotective aunty now"

Hanabi pouted, she released Boruto and looked into his eyes, they appeared a bit dim. Her heart sank.

"Look at what you did, Father! I'm taking him... C'mon Boruto, let's go outside"

Hanabi's words pulled him out of his trance, he didn't even get the chance to comprehend as he was dragged away.

'Did something happen?'

Soon, they reached the backyard. The sight was simply breathtaking for Boruto.

A small pond with several skipping stones around it, birds chirping rythimicly, a medium-sized tree beside it, and a large sum of bamboo trees, the sunlight made the scenery even better.

"Woah"

The young Uzumaki blurted out as he approached the pond, Hanabi walked behind him with a gentle yet warm smile.

She sat down on the ground along with Boruto.

"Isn't it beautiful?"

"Mhm"

Boruto nodded, he looked at the pond, noticing his reflection.

"So, you like to train and want to enjoy combat, right? So how about I teach you"

"Really"

"Really, Really"

"Thank you"

He was happy, truly happy.

"Of course, your big sis will always be there for you"
