Chapter 28: Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist [Part-3]

"Let's begin round two… shall we?"

With a smirk as wide as his retarded existence, he clasped his hand together.

Does he really think he stands a chance? Wow... Arrogance at its peak, huh? Well, not that it matters much.

"Hassaku... Make him use that Jutsu once again. I want to inspect it a bit further"

"You mean the one where his eyes become gold? It will be my pleasure, Shizuma-Sama"

The afro-haired guy named Hassaku approached me whilst holding the demon blade named Kubikiribōchō.

Sigh.

"What a disappointment. I had thought you'd be a bit more intelligent seeing all your schemes and stuff... But, I guess in the end--"

Hassaku swung his blade toward my head, threatening to split me apart. I coated my hand with 5% of my chakra reserves, making it denser and more durable.

*Crackle*

The ground beneath me cracked from the pressure of the blade's momentum. I had caught it with my bare hand.

"...You're just too Shonen"

With a simple hand sign, I shot out a bullet of water from the other hand and penetrated the afro-haired guy's forehead.

*Thud*

His lifeless body collapsed on the ground without any screams. I lifted the demon blade and laid it on my shoulder.

"What a waste... Kagura, kill him"

I've never used a greatsword, I guess today's the day. I gripped the long blade, veins started bulging out of my right arm.

One swing... I'll behead both of them.

*Swoosh*

The pressure of my dense chakra released from me, making the whole area crack. Kagura bent to his knees. Shizuma's eyes widened from the extreme pressure.

I lifted the blade up and motioned it horizontally.

"Kidding"

With a small chuckle, I dropped the blade and brought down my Chakra pressure.

"Now, if it ends too quickly, it wouldn't be fun... Would it?"

Shizuma's eyes that had widened locked into mine. Haa~ What a lovely sight.

With a friendly smile like an angel, I approached them with my wind blade already manifested.

"As you've said... Let's begin round two, shall we?"

"Y-You! Who the hell are you!?"

Shizuma pointed Samehada at me with his fearful eyes. I didn't respond and took my steps slowly.

"Me?... Well, I'm just... Me"

"Stop fucking around!!"

Samehada's head extended and shot toward me, with a sidestep, I dodged the attack and caught the extended handle. I dispersed my wind blade and put a bit more force on my grip.

I immediately pulled it and let it go. It consumed my Chakra at an unimaginable speed. I didn't quite like it.

Shizuma lost his ground. My strength far surpassed his, in every aspect. His body lunged toward me.

"Hahaha!! I'll kill ya!!"

With maniacal laughter, he molded a Water Blade and tried to thrust it into my chest. Unfortunately for him, I dispersed his Jutsu with a single backhand slap.

I caught his neck and held him up in the air.

*Cough*

He started to violently cough. He struggled a bit. I summoned six shadow clones and pinned him to the ground.

"...Boruto?"

A raven-haired girl with a gloomy expression emerged from the Mist. She looked at me with her lifeless eyes.

Her gaze then shifted to the man on the ground.

"Sarada... I've done my part, Now. It's all up to you"

She had my primary blade on her hand. With a hollow look, she stood beside me and looked down at the wavy-black-haired, fish-like man.

"You killed my best friend... You deserve to die"

The weight of her words was not to be scoffed at. With anger flaring inside her eyes, she stabbed him multiple times.

He screamed like a pig, but to no avail. The brutal stabs didn't stop, despite him being already dead, she continued to stab him.

Tears ran down her cheeks uncontrollably. She stabbed and stabbed and stabbed. Her neverending cries stopped at some point.

"Haaa!!"

With a final blow to his chest, she dropped to her knees. Her crimson eyes which had 2 tomoes in them shone like the bloody moon.

I kneeled beside her and patted her shoulder.

"You did what had to be done. Cho-Cho has been finally avenged"

She looked at me... Her eyes were as shallow as a canal.

"Then... Why am I not happy?... Tell me! Why am I not happy for avenging my best friend!!"

She grabbed my collar and violently shook me. I gently put my hand above her's and held her chin.

"That's because you haven't fully avenged your friend yet"

She looked at me in confusion, and then at her bloody hands.

"W-What do you mean... I've avenged her... I-I have killed him"

"But... He is not the real culprit"

"Huh?!... Then who is it!?"

"Think about it. If the Mizukage didn't let them stay... If the Citizens of the Village hidden in the Mist warned us about them, would Cho-Cho have died?"

Sarada looked at her hands. Stained and dirty forever.

"It's because of them, Sarada... They are the true culprits... They took away the most precious friend from you. What stops them from taking away more?"

"Stop... Stop! Stop!! Stop!!!"

She screamed whilst clenching her head. The more I spoke the more she broke.

"Look there, Sarada... He is the next Mizukage... The next person to take away the most precious thing from you... Family"

I pointed my finger at Kagura, who had his head bent down. He was still on his knees, flabbergasted by the previous show of power by me.

She slowly looked in the direction I pointed. Her Sharingan shone brightly in the darkness.

"I won't let you"

She whispered to herself before plucking out my blade from Shizuma's body. She took each step with deep breaths.

Standing in front of him, she was ready to behead him. His current position only made it easier.

"Die"

She softly said as she swung down the jagged blade.

*Clang*

The blade was inches away from Kagura's head before it got deflected. My blade loosened from her grip and landed beside me.

"What do you think you are doing, Girl?"

A Light blue-haired man with black goggles stood between Kagura and Sarada. It was the sixth Mizukage. Chojiro.
