Chapter 33: Return

(I was told I have to be ready to leave to head to my family's house for Thanksgiving in 30 minutes. I took that as a fucking challenge. However much I get done is how much you get.)

The X-Jet flew through the Wakandan barrier thanks to Shuri opening it to them but they were greeted with a delightful message the moment they entered the borders.

[This is your only warning. Land the plane and surrender immediately or prepare for termination.]

"This is Princess Shuri, daughter of T'Chaka and..." but Ororo cut her off. "We are Ororo, Shuri, and J'Zaki. We will be landing in Landing Bay X A.K.A. Shuri's personal hangar. Shoot us then if you have an issue."

Shuri looked at Ororo in surprise but her eyes were soon filled with praise. The way Ororo told them what they were going to do and how the other side should respond looked so cool in the teen's eyes. J'Zaki saw the way his sister was looking at Ororo with pride in his eyes.

'Of course, she is amazing. She is my fiancee after all.'

The X-Jet landed in Shuri's personal bay. As soon as they disembarked, they were greeted by T'Challa and 40 Dora Milaje. As soon as they saw it was really the trio getting off, most of the Dora Milaje left, save for Okoye who remained with T'Challa.

"Where have you been? Whose jet is this? Did you bring our sister on a mission?" T'Challa shot his questions off like an uzi. Okoye stood next to him and nodded after each question.

J'Zaki held Ororo's hand as they stepped off the jet. The little power couple looked at T'Challa and Okoye.

"New York, on a mission. Ours, now that the previous owner is dead. Yep, she asked and I didn't reject her." Even though Ororo was the one that gave permission. J'Zaki felt it didn't matter which one of them said it. She was able to speak for him and he was able to speak for her.

T'Challa saw how nonchalant his brother and sister were being and felt even more frustrated at his siblings.

'Neither of them realizes how grave of a decision they made was. I really am the only one suitable to be the ruler of Wakanda after Father.'

While T'Challa thought that they had just brought Shuri along on a whim, the princess had already informed their father of the true purpose of the mission when she undid Xavier's control over him. This was why Okoye and T'Challa soon got messages from T'Chaka to leave the trio alone.

T'Chaka was on his throne thinking about how he wanted to ask them several questions as well but he knew how hard they had to have been working over the past week in order to protect Wakanda.

'Questions could wait for another day. Those 3 deserve their rest. They have protected Wakanda from a threat I did not even know about.'

-- On a small island, somewhere off the coast of South America--

Logan got off the boat and walked up the docks. A man wearing fur around his shoulders with large, protruding canines smiled at him.

"Logan, my boy. I hear that Xavier died. Didn't Magneto send you there to act as both his spy and bodyguard for Xavier? Did you accomplish either?"

Logan extended the middle claw from his left hand and waved it at the other man.

"Fuck off, Creed. I don't need to hear this from you." Logan walked past him feeling both anxious and annoyed. The latter toward Creed. The former to the man that Creed had mentioned.

Creed laughed and followed behind Logan. They both walked for a few miles until they reached a large mansion. They went in the front door and saw two lines of individuals to their right and left. These people ranged from looking normal to having various mutations that made them look like aliens. And sitting directly in front of them at the other end of the room was a man sitting on a throne. He was wearing all black with a matching helmet on one of the armrests.

The pair walked past all of the mutants standing until they arrived a few feet before the man on the throne. Creed walked up further and stood to the right of the throne while Logan kneeled before the man sitting.

"Magneto. I have failed you. But I have news for you."

"Your news means nothing to me, Logan. You were to act as Xavier's guard. And you have failed," the man's deep voice reverberated. Each word spoken made Logan's skeleton quake in fear. "Your job was not to act as the spy. For I had sent another for that task."

A man dropped down from the ceiling to Magneto's left. J'Zaki would recognize him as the ape-man he had battled several times while Logan knew him better as Hank McCoy. At least that is what he believed.

Scales started to appear on Hank's body. They then began to slip and reveal blue on the underside. His posture began to change, he got smaller, and he grew two boobs. A white dress appeared on 'his' body. Once all the changes were done, Logan finally realized why he wasn't also a spy. Magneto had sent in his best along with Logan.

"As you can see, any information you can give me, she can give me more. Now. For your punishment."

Logan extended his claws and pounced toward Magneto. He knew just what a punishment meant from Magneto. But while he was in the air, his body froze mid-air.

Magneto was called the Master of Magnetism for a reason. While Logan was frozen in the middle of the air, a large vat was lowered from the sky. Steam and smoke was coming out of it. One could tell that whatever was inside the vat was not anything pleasant.

When the vat landed on the ground, Magneto lifted Logan up so he was over the vat. There, Logan could see that there was molten metal inside. The torture was obvious. The heat would constantly melt his flesh and organs until the metal cooled where he would be trapped forever.

"Magneto! I have always worked hard for you. Do not do this! Damn you! I hope you burn like the rest of your family did! I promise that I won't fail you again! Please! I don't wanna die!" Logan went through the 5 stages of grief was he was slowly lowered into the molten metal and felt it melting his body as he was. By the time he finally quieted down, he was buried up to his next. Even as his head went under the metal, he didn't say a word and accepted his fate.

The vat remained in the room for all of the other mutants to view. To serve as a reminded to them. That even if they are his best, he will not tolerate failure. He will not allow anyone to get in the way of his plans.

"Mystique. Tell me what you've learned."
