Chapter 3: Come on out my friend!
"Ayuna time for school!" I heard my mom call me downstairs.
I slowly crawled out of bed and headed downstairs to get breakfast which I ate, got showered, dressed, and headed to school. This has been a daily routine for me ever since I turned five, and to be honest with you I'm still getting used to all this.
"Hurry up honey." I heard my mom call me from outside.
I quickly got my scarf and bag and got into the car.
"You ready?" My mom asked me in an enthusiastic tone as if to get me hyped up.
"yeah!" I responded from the back, raising my little arms into the air.
"Then let's go!" The car started and we began to move.
looking out of the window it was foggy and snow was everywhere. We drove past a few kids playing in the snow on the way to school with their Pokemon.
"looks like fun?" my mom asked looking into the mirror to see me slowly nod as I continued to watch the kids play in the snow.

My mom's car came to a stop and she turned around to see me.
"we're here kiddo," she said with a smile
I jumped out of the car and landed in the snow
"It's so soft," I whispered to myself in awe. I tried picking up a handful but I was so cold I dropped it almost immediately.
"Ayuna." my mom called out to me "Aren't you forgetting something?"
"Oh!" Immediately knowing what my mom meant I got back into the car and gave her a biiig hug jumping back out immediately after.
"Have a great day honey!" I waved goodbye as she drove off.
with snow? Of course, it's gonna be a great day!

"Today we'll be learning how to battle Pokemon."
Miss Riverdale had a case next to her probably where she keeps all those weird Pokeballs.
Scratch that today might not be as good of a day as I first thought...
Everyone else was understandably excited but I
..I was not ready for this.
"Alright everyone come and pick your Pokemon!"
Not wasting any time the minute Miss Riverdale said that everyone was out of their seats and at the suitcase ready to get a Pokemon.
"And that means you too Ayuna." Miss Riverdale looked in my direction. Crap guess I have to do this- I got down from my seat and slowly
got to the case and picked up the pokeball. It was shining in the light almost as if it was ...taunting me!
"Ok everyone we head to the back." Everyone made a single file line going outside.

When we got outside we saw several weird lizard-like Pokemon with red scaly skin and a pointed scalp blowing flames into the snow to get rid of them.
"Charmelons!" one of the kids shouted out
"That's right!" Miss Riverdale praised the student
for their keen observation.
By the time the last snowflake was melted into a droplet everyone was ready to battle ...well almost everyone.
"Ok now students remember to have fun and this is a learning process."
I turned my head to the battlefield trying to find a way to bluff my way out of this.
What even is the point of all this? It's not like all of us want to be trainers right? right!

Soon enough everyone was ready and it was time for the first battle of this exercise
Chloe vs Jeffery a kid with brown hair and green eyes his shirt was bigger than his body and weirdly tucked into his pants.
"Let the battle begin!" Miss Riverdale raised her arm and the two kids tossed their Pokeballs.
Out came a Charmander and a Mareep that looked like it was already gonna take a while.
"Mareep use thundershock!" Charging powerful electricity at the opponent Chloe's Mareep managed to hit the Charmander.
It looked like that hurt a lot-
"Charmander use ember!" The Charmander started to spin in a circle releasing embers at his opponent. "Dodge!" Chloe cried out to her partner but it was too late the damage was done.
As the fight was going on I heard rustling in the trash cans again.
"maybe..." I said quietly to myself looking back at Miss Riverdale to see if she was watching me.
Thankfully she was too focused on the battle making sure no one got hurt by the Pokemon attacks.
"Hello?" I whispered as I peeked around the corner to see the trashcan moving then I saw it in the ears.
It was the same Pokemon! I got closer to the trashcan to see the same Zorua from before it was covered in dirt and spoiled food.
"you ok?" I whispered to it but It quickly fled into the tall grass the moment it noticed me.
"hey come on don't be like that!" I tried chasing after it into the tall grass.
I kept chasing after the Zorua but soon tall grass turned into bushes and bushes turned into trees and I began to feel lost.
"Zorua! Zorua!" I cried out ..but no response.
"Zorua!!"
rustling can later be heard in the grass. I quickly faced the direction of the sound and held the pokeball miss gave me tight in hand.

"and the winner is Chloe!" The kids cheered for Chloe and were congratulating her on her win. Most were hyped for their battles after seeing her.
'huh...where's Ayuna' she thought to herself
