Chapter 28: Daddy I Missed You

The following morning, Karl came with a middle-aged man who was wearing a spectacle.

"Amaya, this is Flint Stone. He is one one the most respected jeweler here in Usturia." Karl introduced him.

"Hello, I am Amaya Rocas." She greeted him warmly. She then shows him her drawings.

Flint studied her drawings one by one and his eyes gleamed with admiration. The patterns on her drawings were unique. The shapes of the leaf and petals looked different from what he normally see.

"Why don't you draw matching earrings and rings for these?" He made a suggestion when he saw that she only drew necklaces.

He regarded her with interest. She was an overnight internet sensation. He thought that because she grew up in the wild, she expected her to act boorish and uncultured. He never expected to see that she can write and draw very well.

"How did you learn to write?" He asked in a gentle tone. Amaya liked him because he was gentle and he looked kind.

"Daddy taught me." Was her brief reply.

Amaya took the paper and colored pencils. She started working in the corner and after some time she show him the necklaces with an added drawing of matching earpieces and rings.

Flint was dumbfounded. She was done so fast.

"This flower pendant will look good on Princess Danella. The flower's original color is like that of ruby so maybe we can use ruby for this." Amaya paused as if something came to her mind.

"This one, maybe an amethyst or a jade," Aryana mumbled.

Flint looked at Karl with a million question marks on his face. The little girl was talking about precious gemstones like it was nothing but ordinary stone.

Flint cleared his throat. "Princess, have you seen a ruby?"

Amaya looked at him strangely as if he has grown two heads. He felt uncomfortable under her stare.

"Of course," Amaya answered nonchalantly.

Marx soon joined them. He nodded to Flint to acknowledge him. He has just come from the shower and has shaven.

"You smell nice." Amaya blurted out of the blue. "What kind of scent is that?"

Karl almost gagged the coffee he was drinking.

Flint pretended to study her drawings.

The tip of Marx's ears turned red. He ignored her.

"Have you decided which ones to make?" Marx was looking at Flint and tried to divert the topic. Since Flint was the expert, he expected that he will make recommendations.

Flint showed him four of the most beautiful designs that Aryana made.

"You decide. I'll give you the stones you need."

Amaya passed a piece of paper to Marx.

"Daddy designed this for me. I drew it last night. He said it is my tiara for my eighteenth birthday…". Amaya paused. Her eyes dimmed and her face turned gloomy.

Marx reached out and took the paper from her. The tiara looked like a cascading waterfall. The little diamonds were like droplets of water rushing down to the base of the tiara. What a beautiful piece.

Marx passed the paper to Flint. Flint let out a whistle.

"Absolutely beautiful. It is apparent how much effort was placed to create this design."

"Can it be done in a week's time?" Marx asked.

"A week?" Flint frowned. The tiara was so intricate it is impossible to complete in one week. "Of course I'll finish in one week."

"Karl, be sure the patent of the designs belong to Amaya."

After three days Prince Ibarra finally arrived at Usturia. He boarded the royal family's air craft. Lireyan servants were sent to Amaya to help her dress in the traditional Lireyan costume.

Amaya was standing beside Marx at the entrance of SkyScapes. They waited there for the Crown Prince of Lireya to arrive.

Amaya gasped when she saw Ibarra being escorted out of the car. Marx held her hand and squeezed it gently.

Amaya's eyes reddened. Ibarra really looked like her Daddy. She let go of Marx's hand and threw herself into the arms of Ibarra. She hugged him tight and sobbed. Her actions were pure like she really missed her daddy.

"Daddy, you are alive. I missed you so much." She cried. But the moment she felt the hug of the man in front of her, she was pulled back from a trance to reality. The man may looked like her father but he wasn't her daddy.

She hesitated. "I am sorry. It is just like you really looked like him and I missed him so much." Amaya gave Ibarra the smile that she would normally gave Ibrahim.

"But I am your Daddy Amaya." Ibarra used his hand to wipe away the tears from her eyes. Up close, Amaya really looked like Danaya, especially when she was dressed like a princess. She reminded him of the only woman he loved.

The reporters who were present were moved by the dramatic reunion. Amaya's expression showed how much she missed her father. Of course they did not know about Ibrahim and the time they spent together in the Island of Miraga.

The entire country of Lireya watched the dramatic reunion over live telecast. They were moved to tears when Amaya hugged her father tight and told him how much she missed him. They were proud of their beautiful princess.

Princess Consort Nelida who was sitting on her throne maintained a gentle smile as she watched the intimate interaction between Ibarra and Amaya. Danella was seated on the other side of the room and her eyes were glued on the big screen. Nelida threw her a worried look. Her little girl was showing her expression so openly.

She was jealous. There was a crease on her forehead and her lips were pursed.

Nelida gracefully stood from her throne and approached Danella.

"Don't show your jealousy on your face. Act like you are very happy." She whispered to her and pretended to fix her hair.

"But I don't like her to hug Father like that." Danella pouted.

"My dear, act like a Princess." she said softly, then added aloud. "Look at how your elder sister looked so happy to see her Father. She must have missed her Daddy so much!"
