Chapter 10: Learning about my boss
Nora got to work at her usual time and walked straight to her office. She was surprised to see numerous files and documents on her desk.
She also had to study the books given to her by her boss but nevertheless, she was happy.
Working as an full time employee was something she had never experienced in her entire lifetime.
She only dreams about it but never expected it to happen in her life time.
Nora sat on her desk and started working, those that she didn't understand, she asked for help from Mr Anthony.
...Jason got up from bed and did his usual morning routine. He wasn't really in the mood to go to work but he had a lot of work to do.
He got dressed and headed to the dining room.
He met his mother eating and he greeted her with a whisper. She nodded and invited him to seat opposite and he obeyed.
First time obeying me in ages" Mrs Anderson smiled at her son.
Jason just ignored his mom, he wasn't in the mood for her troubles.
The maids served the food and as usual it was a fancy meal, dishes of different countries were served on the dinning table.
It was completed with a very expensive wine.
What's the celebration about?" Jason asked with confusion.
I prepared a date for you darling, it's 8pm tonight" The maids served the wine in cups and stood still.
If this is what it's about, then I have lost my appetite" Jason stood up and left.
Why does she always want to control me?" Jason hit the bonnet of the car angrily. He entered the driver's seat and drove angrily without waiting for his driver and escort.
At 12pm Jason walked in and checked all the departments, as the secretary she had to follow him everywhere.
When he got to his office Nora excused herself and went to her office.
Ten minutes later she stood up from her seat and took some documents to the CEO'S office.
Make me coffee" Jason didn't even spare her an eyelid.
Nora nodded then rushed to the pantry to make the coffee. She made it the way she liked it because she didn't know the CEO'S choice.
She walked into the CEO'S office when she was done and waited for him to taste it before leaving.
Jason tasted it and raised his head to look at her "it's too sweet".
Nora nodded then hurried back to the pantry to make another cup, this time she reduced the sugar.
She walked back to the office and waited for Jason to taste it again. This time he said "it's too bitter".
Kira walked to his table and carried the tray. She ran to the pantry again to make another cup.
Nora made sure that it was moderate, she didn't want to make coffee throughout the whole day.
She walked into the office and placed the teacup on the table.
Jason tasted it and spat it out "it's too creamy" he said.
Nora sighed and carried the coffee, Jason stared at her blankly.
Nora was about to leave when she heard Jason's voice saying "I have no cravings for coffee anymore".
Nora walked to Mr Anthony's office and greeted with a smile.
Mr Anthony, please I need your help urgently" Nora smiled.
No problem" Mr Anthony arranged the documents properly before standing up to follow Nora.
Nora explained what just happened between her and the CEO and she needed him to teach her how to make it perfectly.
They both headed to the pantry and Mr Anthony taught her how to make the type of coffee the CEO likes.
Nora tasted it and she indeed realized that the CEO actually loved good things.
It wasn't supposed to be to sugary or too bitter but very moderate. And it was not also supposed to be too creamy.
She made sure she learnt everything about her boss, it's not like she had a choice.
